Hi ladies, back again for thread number 3!

OP posts:
ofwarren · 02/02/2021 15:32

Thanks for the new thread
My husband and finished work early so I can go to bed. I just can't warm up at all, even under the duvet.
I seem to get chills rather than a temperature when I have a virus so I bet it's cos of the vaccine.

KasparKat · 02/02/2021 15:40

Checking in here. I've not heard of d limonene for reflux, I'll look that up.

I don't tend to get a high temp either, although my normal temp is about 36.3 so anything over 37 feels like a temp to me! Take it easy and remember that your body is doing GOOD things.

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 02/02/2021 15:53

Thanks for the new thread creation Smile

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 15:55

Woo thanks for new thread 🎉

MrsWhites · 02/02/2021 16:51

@ofwarren my sister in law had the Pfizer vaccine, she was fine after her first dose but was really poorly after the second one. She had chills and a temp, headache and really bad aches and pains for about 24 hours. So horrible but it didn’t last long, I think these symptoms are fairly common. Get yourself to bed and try not to worry x

@Goolies great news about your chest x ray, really pleased to hear all ok.

@ofwarren hope you feel better after some rest Thanks

chorusline79 · 02/02/2021 16:58

Yes thanks for new thread. Hope everyone is ok. I'm really down today, probably pmt but keep crying randomly. Hoping for a better one tomorrow 🤞

Goolies · 02/02/2021 16:59

Thank you @chorusline79, I did say to my husband... you don’t think the receptionist would be lying do you... he just walked off. Will try and behave myself a bit now!

chorusline79 · 02/02/2021 17:02

Oh @Goolies I'm sure many of us here would have made a similar comment!

I had an argument with DH yesterday about the amount of supplements I am buying from Holland and Barrett as he says I have an addiction to vitamins and self diagnosis - he's not wrong there! He was cross about me buying CBD oil and has made me promise not to take it. I don't see the problem myself but I know I have a problem with supplements as am taking up to 10 tablets a day!

Goolies · 02/02/2021 17:07

@chorusline79 oh my gosh that’s one of our biggest arguments! We argued last night because he wanted to spend £200 on a robot thing that cleans the tiled floor, I said I think it’s a waste of money, he came back with what about all the money you waste of supplements. I take lots too. B complex, coq10 for heart protection, multivit, a green powder every morning, some herbs... the list goes on!

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 17:15

@Goolies so happy your X-ray has come back normal! Grin

Oh @chorusline79 I get emotional really easy lately! I cried in Asda last week because of a bloody song that came on! Blush

tmh88 · 02/02/2021 17:19

Hope you are feeling better soon @ofwarren Flowers

chorusline79 · 02/02/2021 17:47

@Goolies sounds like you have your own little pharmacy just like mine!

@tmh88 bless you, I'm not surprised you are crying, you have been through so much recently x

Skyliner001 · 02/02/2021 18:12

Evening ladies, thank you for the new thread! Not the best day for me today… But hoping for a better evening.

chorusline79 · 02/02/2021 18:37

Hey @Skyliner001 what's going on with you? Hope you're ok and can enjoy your eve, sounds like you had a hard day. Thanks

TheSilentStars · 02/02/2021 19:02

Checking in for later. Brew

Lib3rtine · 02/02/2021 19:16

Hi everyone, I’ve been absent lately due to not having a minute looking after the little one! It’s definitely taken my mind off my health anxiety! Hope you’re all ok. @Goolies glad your chest X-ray came back normal x

Goolies · 02/02/2021 19:33

@mrsteacher just incase you’re not on this thread. I wrote you a long reply but it wouldn’t post as the last thread was full.
Hope you’re ok x

Goolies · 02/02/2021 19:35

@Lib3rtine ah thank you, how are you?! How’s the little bundle of joy!! 💕

Lib3rtine · 02/02/2021 19:40

@Goolies I’m good thank you and she’s doing well. As predicted my anxiety has transferred to her though, I’m constantly checking she’s breathing and I’m paranoid about everything! Hopefully I’ll relax soon xx

WitchSharkadder · 02/02/2021 19:46

Hey all.

Just placemarking on the new thread Smile

WitchSharkadder · 02/02/2021 19:49

To those of you asking about CBT, I'm doing mine over the phone. I'm not a fan though, it really helped last time I had it several years ago but obviously that was in person. I don't know why I'm struggling so much on the phone, it just seems impersonal and like I can't quite convert what I want to say.

@Lib3rtine I think the checking their breathing is a fairly normal thing with new borns and we all do it. I'm not saying your anxiety isn't a factor but I don't think there's a mum out there who hasn't double and triple checked a hundred times Smile
I'm much more rational with my children most of the time now they're older, although I do wobble when they're ill.

KasparKat · 02/02/2021 20:19

Argh. I'm really panicking about my chest tightness tonight. I never know whether its worth calling the GP and putting myself through the inevitable appointment/tests or putting it down to anxiety, which is the most likely thing it is. I'm scared of going to an appointment/hospital and getting covid.

I told DH that I think I'm dying about 50% of the time at the moment and he looked shocked. I know that's not normal but I just wish there was a magic cure. The CBT I'm having seems to be a long slog without any dramatic effects yet.

WitchSharkadder · 02/02/2021 20:41

@KasparKat I get it completely. I go round in circles about wanting to see a doctor because I feel there's something really wrong and then avoiding them because it's anxiety and I feel like the girl who cried wolf. I think that, when the day comes there is something wrong, it'll be dismissed as another anxiety/panic symptom. My GO hasn't given me reason for this, he's been great and always thorough. I just think one day they'll have enough of me!

Goolies · 02/02/2021 21:27

@kasperkat I’ve had chest tightness and rib pain recently. Got a clear chest x Ray today. Is the tightness all over? Or more focussed on a particular spot? My gp said it’s costochondritis.
