Aero · 24/09/2004 22:52

Am curious bm, but hope that by typing it, that at least you've got it off your chest a bit!

MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 22:52

Sorry beansmum, just started a new thread to ask how you were!! Silly me. How are you?

beansmum · 24/09/2004 22:53

just miserable about going back to uni, will miss ds, will have no friends. i'm dreading it. also have no money

OP posts:
MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 22:54

When do you go, and where?

tammybear · 24/09/2004 22:55

aww beansmum. im not in the exact same boat as u. money is a problem but i start college friday and a little bit scared when i went to college last year the only friend i made hardly ever turned up lol. ull make friends, just getting chatting to people and ull be fine. when r u starting?

beansmum · 24/09/2004 22:58

crying now. shouldn't have started thinking about it. start on 4th oct, doing maths in edinburgh. was getting used to the idea but this week has gone so quickly and now there's only a week to go. i will miss ds so much, haven't left him since he was born and now he'll be in the nursery all day. I hate not knowing anyone and i hate feeling like i'm going to let everyone down if i cant do well this year.

OP posts:
MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:00

Im assuming this isnt your first year then?

joanneg · 24/09/2004 23:01

((hugs)) beansmum - how old is your ds?

MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:02

That sounded a bit blunt - didnt mean it to be. I was just wondering if this was a new course for you, or if you are in the middle of one.

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:03

3rd year, but been at uni for 4 yrs because i changed course then took a year out to have bean. so all my friends graduated this year and are off doing exciting things.

Aw Beansmum, once you are there and you start to get to know people you will be fine. Its the worry of the unknown, im sure your ds will love nursery as its like playtime all day for him, lots of other little people and surrounded by toys...Chin Up!
And after a few days at College/Uni with a bit of adult conversation you will wonder what you were so sad about.
Good Luckxx

MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:04

Are you happy with the nursery that he will be going to?

tammybear · 24/09/2004 23:04

aww beansmum. everyone will be fine. your ds will love it at nursery as he'll get to interact with other children, and its such a scary thought going somewhere u havent before and not knowing anyone, but its a chance for u to make new friends

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:05

ds is 16wks. he's too little to be left at the nursery all day long

OP posts:
MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:06

beansmum, it sounds like you are under a lot of pressure to do this course for others.

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:06

i dont want new friends i want my old friends back.

OP posts:
MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:08

Are you looking forward to the course otherwise? Or have you been worrying about it before now? I'm just concerned when you say you are worried about letting others down.

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:09

think my family are trying not to put me under any pressure and they keep saying that i don't have to do it. but my parents helped me buy a house near uni and are now wanting to buy a house for themselves but will have to get a smaller one cos they gave me lots of their savings

OP posts:
MUMINAMILLION · 24/09/2004 23:11

Would it be possible to put off going for another year? It sounds like you parents are very understand, and obviously care about you very much. Im sure they would not want you to be unhappy and take on something which may be too much for you at the moment.

tammybear · 24/09/2004 23:11

i keep trying out posts, but what i keep typing isnt very helpful. but im sending you lots of (((((((((hugs))))))))))

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:12

my dad will be really upset if i don't finish this course. I have enjoyed it so far, if i didn't have bean i would probably be quite looking forward to going back. i just don't want to leave him, i feel like i should be at home looking after him

OP posts:
joanneg · 24/09/2004 23:12

I agree with mim - If it making you so unhappy cant you carry your credits forward?

beansmum · 24/09/2004 23:12

lol tammybear

joanneg · 24/09/2004 23:12
