What to do when you feel borderline suicidal

Just that really. I don't have any immediate plans to kill myself, but I have ADHD and am prone to impulsive, stupid behaviour. I'm under the care of a psychiatrist who is frankly, really quite useless, I have to remind him about which drugs I need etc, and he only really addresses my ADHD. Can't get a drs appointment.

Hi sconebonjovi,

We're really sorry to hear you're feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. There are lots of organisations listed which can give you some support when you're feeling this low - please do take a look.

You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected], or call them free, any time from any phone, on 116 123.

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real life help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Sending good wishes, OP. Flowers
