zippyswife · 26/12/2017 22:55

I’ve been where are you right now. In fact this time last year I was there. I can tell you you will be ok.

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 22:55

BifsWif · 26/12/2017 23:00

Do you have the headspace app? I find it really useful for my anxiety.

For now, just breathe. You don’t have to do anything else, count your breaths. We’re here x

WutheringFrights · 26/12/2017 23:02

It will go away - you are me a few hours ago.
Turn all the lights out find some meditation music on YouTube and focus all your thoughts on that - it helps my anxiety x

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 23:02

I've never felt so awful, I'm shaking and sick as a dog. I'm really really worried about how this is going to progress through the night, I can't do this. I cannot do this anymore

OP posts:
GladysKnight · 26/12/2017 23:02

You.might be coming down with the cold too? - but yy to headspace, or just counting 10 breaths then going back to one again?

zippyswife · 26/12/2017 23:03

I agree. The Headspace app (doing it daily) along with making time to run and excercise sorted me out last year when I was where you are now. And sleep.

Allabitmuchisntit · 26/12/2017 23:03

Breathe. Go to the sink and hold your wrists under warm running water and just concentrate on that for a few minutes until you feel more grounded. Brush your hair while the kettle boils for a cup of tea. Breathe from your tummy slowly and let all your muscles flop. You'll be ok. No rush.

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 23:04

I've tried all the breathing, I just feel like I'm going to vomit again, I am so lonely

OP posts:
GladysKnight · 26/12/2017 23:04

Are you alone? Either way, it will be OK and you will get through this.

ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay · 26/12/2017 23:05

You can do it. You can do anything.

Feeling as you do is the fucking worst but you will get through it.

What my therapist told me was to accept that it is going to happen. Accept that you body and mind are running away with your thoughts and know that it will pass.

ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay · 26/12/2017 23:06

Could you actually have a sickness bug? It would be shit timing of you did but it wouldn’t be impossible

GladysKnight · 26/12/2017 23:06

Blow out through pursed lips when you feel sick. And make sure you aren't dehydrated too. Big hugs, I am virtually stroking your back

zippyswife · 26/12/2017 23:06

Willo this will pass. It will. Make Headspace your first port of call.

Funnily (well not that funny reallyConfused) I’ve had to deal with a pile of really serious shit theee past couple of months but I have been able to cope because my mind is in a stronger place.

You can be too. We all can be. We just need to look after our minds. Believe this is transient.

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 23:08

I'm terrified

OP posts:
DayKay · 26/12/2017 23:08

Op, can you place your feet firmly on the ground? Push down as hard as you can do you can feel the ground on your feet. Think where you feel it most.
Wriggle your toes and think about how that feels. Do this for a couple of minutes. It will help to ground you and calm you.

zippyswife · 26/12/2017 23:08

Sorry- I don’t mean my mind is stronger than yours- I’m not belittling you. What I mean is last year I was at the most anxious point possible but nothing actually bad or catastrophic had happened to put me there. But a year on I can cope with more as I’ve worked on looking after my mind. You can get through this.

I feel terribly for you because I know.

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 23:23

I can't do this I'm so sorry I'm repeating myself but I really can't do this anymore

OP posts:
MrsDilber · 26/12/2017 23:27

I've had panic/anxiety disorder for years. Your adrenal gland has dumped a load of adrenaline in your system which is giving you these vile symptoms.

Fan yourself with something, it helps and know that this will pass. It will. Try and breath deep, regular breaths, run cold water over your wrists (I used to wet my arms, neck, chest with cold water) - these are things that helped me. Distract yourself. They might help you.

My dr gave me diazepam for panic attacks, might be worth seeing your Gp when you can.

This WILL pass.

PurpleDaisies · 26/12/2017 23:30

Who else is in the house with you?

You should call for medical advice-111 or if you think you are at high risk of hurting yourself you can call 999.

willothewisp17 · 26/12/2017 23:34

I've vomited again, it's just bile I don't even need to vomit but I just feel so panicky and sick
My husband is in the house with me and is dealing with DD right now and has told me that it's okay he will deal with everything about her
But I can't get out of this
I want to stop feeling like this

OP posts:
zippyswife · 27/12/2017 00:06

I agree call 111. I spoke with a nurse for over an hour last year who really calmed me and talked me down in your position.
