Everyone is welcome.

Ooh, bot hoss cruns! Delish.

Have just babied my recalcitrant knee through 5.89km of running/walking with only twinges, so hopes are running high in the Ennn household. It's a mysterious complaint, to be sure, with its odd tendency to hurt the worst when it's just been rested. Obstreperous wee jointie.

Mavis texted this morning to ask if she could come round for a bath, but just like last weekend, has got irretrievably stoned become indisposed and cancelled. Well, I contacted her to find out when she wanted picking up and she at that point informed me of her condition Hmm

Envy of pizza Grin

I think I've got lemon sole for tea Sad

Has anyone else noticed how everything has pompoms at the moment?

Millie2013 · 15/02/2015 18:31

What type of pizza, Up? I'm a bit jealous!

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 18:49

half chicken and bacon, half chicken tandoori. I'm very out on MFP. Good to hear about the knee/running/walking, Ennn Will being with people/worship help, caulk?

I'd swop dinners but I've gone off your pizza now - I like veggie ones Grin

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 18:53

Fair enough Smile I don't like the really meaty ones.

My favourite pizza is chili and pineapple. Totally mentally normal :D

Ennn · 15/02/2015 19:43

Garlic mushroom white pizza mmmmmm…

Or mushrooms, mixed peppers, and red onions.

No sodding anchovies. None. Ever. Evil salty Satan-slivers. And no bogging olives.

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 19:43

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with agitation? CPN suggested punching a pillow.

OP posts:
Ennn · 15/02/2015 19:47

LOUD music
Rocking back and forth with eyes shut
Shaking your hands and head
Stretching/tensing muscles really hard, all together, repeatedly, or one by one, working up your body
Yelling swear words
Or alternatively, soothing things, like a hot water bottle, a nice drink of some kind and PROPERLY sorting your fingernails out

Ennn · 15/02/2015 19:49

Sorry these things are all pathetically inadequate and I should get a job on the crisis team Grin

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 20:07

Thanks, Ennn - those are good.

OP posts:
Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:08

Are you feeling agitated right now?

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 20:11

A bit. When it's bad I can't sit still.

OP posts:
Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:16

Mmm, how annoying. Sad That's usually when I pace or dance. Which is the least helpful thing I could possibly say, probaby GrinBlush

Do you have any soothing/distracting things you do? I have this slightly embarrassing thing with watching myself flicking my fingers against each other in front of my face when I'm stressed and need something to focus on. It looks kind of odd; I try not to do it in public Grin I flick them down by my side instead

Masturbation?

Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:17

Feel for you; agitation is horrible.

Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:19

Are you a smoker?

Millie2013 · 15/02/2015 20:20

I pace, when agitated, which isn't helpful
Ennn's suggestions are good. The other suggestion that I'm not so good at is talking to people. Like us, for example :)

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 20:29

No, I don't smoke. I'm wringing my hands a lot at the moment. Talking here helps too.

OP posts:
Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:39

Glad talking helps a bit. I never quite know what handwringing is, exactly… is it like twisting your fingers round, or a washing motion, or something?

UpOnDown · 15/02/2015 20:50

I twist my fingers around each other.

OP posts:
Ennn · 15/02/2015 20:53

Ah right, thanks.

That's lovely that you got to see a friend too - presumably it's someone you don't see that often?

Ennn · 15/02/2015 21:11

Am getting this weird side effect off my tablets (assume it is a side effect) - getting stuck on syllables, words, or even whole phrases where they repeat several times Hmm very irritating. Not quite like a stutter, it feels slightly different.
