CIU is a menace. You could consider doxepin at a higher dose as a replacement for an SSRI although the side effects are worse at higher doses. Worth talking to your doctor about.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 21:51

The cat has gone out, I'm assuming he is on his way to one of you?

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 22:01

I hope he doesn't come all the way here only to be savagely attacked by one of my cats Shock

OP posts:
Millie2013 · 22/01/2015 22:03

Hope not me, I'm not keen on cats, with their pointy claws. We have a stables cat who is semi feral, but tame enough to get sufficiently close to claw you (to death, probably)
If my new (impulse buy, because it's healthier than other coping behaviours) craft stuff doesn't arrive tomorrow, I will cry. With my luck, it will arrive on Saturday, when OH is here and he will tell me I don't need any more craft shite. In which case I'll cry anyhow

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:05

Tried on a lovely pair of leather trousers I saw today but was Hmm at the fact that they were an eu38 and trheredore wouldn't even remotely attempt to fit despite being labelled as a size 12 which normally is also labelled as eu40

Mentalpsychiatrist · 22/01/2015 22:09

Millie you buy craft stuff and I buy shoes. Two perfectly normal outlets but not according to our partners. everything time I make a big shoe splurge Dp has the crisis team on standby.

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 22:15

38 is normally a 10, but in Italy it is much smaller - about 24" waist so prob an 8?

where are they from?

OP posts:
Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:16

Charity shop, don't remember the name on the label but they definitely said 12 - 38.

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:19

Normally (at least at the moment) wear UK12/EU40/30" for trousers, 18 tops (16 if extra-generous sizing, 14 if old-lady shop like Cotton Traders) IT IS A FUCKING MYSTERY and perhaps the trousers came from a time post-UK size inflation and pre-EU size inflation, hence the labelling.

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:20

They were MY trousers dammit; the fact they wouldn't do up is immaterial; perhaps I should've bought them anyway and attempted to tailor self to fit

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 22:20

I'm refusing to buy clothes until i fit the ones I have.
It's taking a while.

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:21

Buy shoes
Shoes always fit notwithstanding the fact I appear to have lost weight off my feet

Shoes love you

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 22:23

sizes are ridiculous, why can't they be sold waist and leg length like jeans and dresses could have boob and hip measurements

was in a shop recently and the assistant asked my dress size and I said I didn't know and she got quite eggy with me YOU MUST KNOW WHAT SIZE YOU WEAR Hmm I was just BUT IT VARIES FROM SHOP TO SHOP AND EVEN WITHIN BRANDS

it was weird how cross she was about it, but how can anyone say I am a size whatever when that size is huge in some places and snug in others

OP posts:
Enpoid · 22/01/2015 22:26

It is utterly ridiculous but unavoidable even with inch measurements as there is vanity sizing there too - Tesco mens jeans for example are shorter in the leg and bigger in the waist than they say on the label

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 22:29

I'm pretty sure I'm signed off mainly so I can wear pyjamas and not worry about real clothes

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 22:32

I mainly only seem to buy running kit these days and that's generally in easy to understand sizes like xs to L with helpful measurement table so you can see which is you

obviously as you point out there is still massive variation in the actual fit Hmm

pretty sure am going to die of sneezing in the night, in case I do just want to wish you all the best and say thanks, it's been fun, I've learned a lot (not much that I actually needed to know but some of it has been awesome) and I hope your lives are normal and no longer than you want them to be

Mentalpsychiatrist · 23/01/2015 08:03

Mitchy did you die of sneezing?

Mitchy1nge · 23/01/2015 08:18

well, yes, in the sense that I came perilously close and no, the miracle and marvel that is the human spirit in the face of overwhelming adversity (I sneezed almost four times in a row! The fourth never really developed, it hovered on the brink and I was suspended between sneeze/not a sneeze, just an itchy nasal department, this world/the next) but and I don't even know how I did it, I am here! It was a night of resilience and endurance, a triumph over (what is another word for adversity?) am going to turn this into a screenplay!

Happy Friday!
