Your chat isn't boring.

Enpoid · 02/01/2015 13:17

Not bored, sleeping.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 02/01/2015 14:27

Not bored either, up in the attic looking for skis and boots. So much shite up there it's hard to find anything.

SnowyMouse · 02/01/2015 14:31

James Bond time soon (on ITV). Waiting for a carer, they're late.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/01/2015 14:54

Not bored. Ill. Sad

Is very weird being physically ill and having no energy to get out of bed rAther than depressed.

Mitchy1nge · 02/01/2015 15:53

poor caulk :(

have never known people other than instructors to have their own skis! have some very underused but lovely boots somewhere, last employed on the dry slopes in Ipswich (glamorous) a few years ago

v v v excited about marathon training and will use it as motivation to train sensibly and eat etc

first ever sj thing tomorrow with young orange welshie, bit nerve wracking as events with #1 have left us with little time to prepare AND NY resolution of being more attentive girlfriend type thing means am meeting the m-i-m-l in a minute for film, dinner

at heart suspect am more suited, temperamentally, to a sedentary lifestyle rather than one of getting up in the dark to brush horses and wear very clean jodhs boots etc - will also need to fit in a long run, meeting my parents (argh) and house sitting from midday tomorrow to midday Sunday, there might not be a Long Run this week but have 18 weekends in total to go from 13 miles to 20 ish without injury, it should be fine, just need to prioritise eating and sleeping - stuff that comes naturally to the mentally normal right?

We have three sets of skiis and two snowboards in my loft, as well as two kayaks. None of them are mine, one of the housemates is very into having the Right Stuff. Confused

I think you have to train yourself into sleeping and eating normally. Have never bothered to train myself so no idea whether it's possible or not. I just have strong drugs to send me to sleep now.

Have you collected lithium and how is dd1?

Mitchy1nge · 02/01/2015 16:07

#1 has gone in to work taking her child with her, very far from ideal, I can't be with her again now until Sunday but will try to be in touch before then - she will be in the hands of my evil parents from tomorrow

she seemed better yesterday, fluctuates a lot, has that weird spaced out calm of early psychosis, Monday seems a long way off but she is blatantly holding it together well enough for much of the time for it not to be so far gone?

yeah I got my lithium, am taking the absolute minimum of 800mg which is sub-therapeutic for me as an individual but in the range - I still think a lot about parting company from it longer term but maybe now is not the time to experiment

Agree that now might not be the right time. I had the bloods taken for mine this morning, and the phebotomist congratulated me on having blood which is a good colour. Have never been complimented on that before...

Her work sounded understanding which is good, although I assume they don't know about the stuff which has happened that could cause her to not work in that field (not sure how to phrase that properly)

Enpoid · 02/01/2015 16:32

Love skiing. I remember the pain of skrawking your skin on the dry ski slope though.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 02/01/2015 16:34

I skiied for the first time on real snow in feb. It was at glencoe, and two people died after falling into ravines on the day I was there. Was fucking terrifying and had never skiied since Confused

Mentalpsychiatrist · 02/01/2015 22:25

Skis and boots located. Ski clothes uncovered. All getting sorted and I've come down with a stinking cold.

Enpoid · 02/01/2015 23:24

Colds are grotty but with any luck you'll be over the worst first couple of days by Sunday Mp.

That does sound really upsetting Caulkhead.

Hope you feel better soon anyway.

Enpoid · 02/01/2015 23:25

Caulkhead, I mean, but also Mp

Enpoid · 02/01/2015 23:26

Did the carer turn up eventually, Snowy?

Mitchy1nge · 03/01/2015 13:32

yay, successful journey to event, went clear each time and 4th overall! She's only a baby (5) and very sweet and careful.

Now am Doing Work of house sitting and hoping no radiators fall off any walls. Have nothing to smoke but they have left me mountains of food which might do me more good anyway.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/01/2015 13:37

Yay! Well done.

Is there stuff for a roast dinner? I really want a roast dinner.

Mitchy1nge · 03/01/2015 13:50

wow I don't know

that would be a lot of work!

there is spinach feta eggs and lots of vegetables, some spicy jack, jumbo porridge oats, a flapjack (have eaten him already as reward for hard work of morning) and a fuck load of chocolates

plus, I guess, whatever their own food is

I did ask 'is there anything you DON'T want me to eat' and they said no no help yourself

yum, 24 hours of staring into the fridge starting from now

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 03/01/2015 14:00

Am still Far Too Ill to eat anything, so it's just an idea rather than anything I will actually force myself to make or eat.

It does sound like a well packed fridge. I imagine ours is too, 3/4 housemates are very good at food shopping, but I haven't opened it for a few days so don't know.

Other than the radiator, has other things happened whilst house sitting?

SnowyMouse · 03/01/2015 16:07

Yes, the carer turned up, they're short staffed at the moment. I hope you're feeling better, mp Congrats mitch! Grin Fridge sounds good. I hope you get better soon caulk Sad

Mentalpsychiatrist · 03/01/2015 20:20

Had a day in bed and feeling much better if still snotty. Looking forward to heading off tomorrow.

SnowyMouse · 03/01/2015 20:26

Have fun mp Grin

Mentalpsychiatrist · 03/01/2015 21:09

Thanks snowy, how are you doing today?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 04/01/2015 11:32

Greetings from gatwick airport which is fucking miles away from where we live so we had a v early start. Will try to keep all limbs intact but can't make any promises. Going to find friends who are already in the bar.

Mitchy1nge · 04/01/2015 12:54

am half watching/listening to winter sports on Eurosport and thought of you mp, have a thrilling time!

only vaguely Envy, my back is too annoying to muster any serious longing for any real activity beyond lying down and reading about running
