Work is over for the holidays. Hurrah!

NoNameIsGoodName · 23/12/2014 16:20

Can you do tomorrow for me at work please?

NoNameIsGoodName · 23/12/2014 16:21

Agh. Rubbish name change fail.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 23/12/2014 17:05

Mitchy, do you get dizzy on lithium? Can't tell if this is lithium-induced dizziness or general eat-more-protein dizziness.

Mitchy1nge · 23/12/2014 18:51

No, I don't think so. Absurd calorie deficit/restriction and or seroquel have caused that sort of thing. I stumble around a bit when I am slowly poisoning myself with lithium but not at lower levels, really can't remember the early days of it though and was on quite heavy duty Other Stuff so is all a blur now :)

(pacing around the stove end of the kitchen shouting COME ON COME ON COME ON while The Omelette - sundried tomatoes spinach mini mozzarella balls and THREE fucking eggs - cooks itself)

oh and have been to JL and Waitrose and done my Christmas shopping so have all day tomorrow to ride, muck out, cuddle long lost friend (love having her around again!) and maybe pack a few things for our overnight stay

am enjoying the running on empty exhilaration of the sleep deprivation and meal skipping but The Omelette will sort me out

Caulkhead I suffered from dizziness when I started lithium but it went away after a while.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 23/12/2014 22:35

Ah MP you star. That is exactly what I needed to hear. I asked the pharmacist as he helpfully said "either carry on or stop it". I don't even feel safe to drive, so it's encouraging that it will stop.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 24/12/2014 21:53

Successfully managed to kill the thread with my lithium-induced thanks.
Sorry Blush

Enpoid · 25/12/2014 01:30

Woo

Enpoid · 25/12/2014 01:36

Not a dead thread Caulkhead Grin

Enpoid · 25/12/2014 01:38

Am phenelzine-induced rather than lithium-induced but it all amounts to the same thing Grin

Hope everyone's well.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

not dead here, has been chaotic - #1 has been having a bad time that looks a lot like mania so #2 under instruction to keep her in a darkened room, topping up her diazepam (is all we have) levels every so often - will come back as early as I can. Is really her insistence that 2 or 3 hours sleep is plenty and her out of character expenditure, otherwise she is just shouty and horrible to be around. Average length of a manic episode is about 3 months isn't it? I hope it is 'just' extreme stress. Confused

Oh dear. That's kind of unfortunate.

Merry Christmas.

SnowyMouse · 26/12/2014 14:14

I'm back home and struggling.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 26/12/2014 14:16

Hey Snowy, what's up? Have you got support?

SnowyMouse · 26/12/2014 14:32

The voices are bad. I can't ring anyone.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 26/12/2014 14:33

As in there isn't anyone to ring, or you feel you can't do it?

SnowyMouse · 26/12/2014 14:35

I can't do it, there are people manning the phones at CMHT.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 26/12/2014 14:37

What's stopping you? What will happen if you ring them, do you think?

Can you distract yourself with knitting or something like that? I have no experience of voices, so tell me if what I'm saying is ridiculous.

Enpoid · 26/12/2014 15:10

Sorry to hear you're having a bad time Snowy Flowers I wish CMHTs would provide alternative contact details like email as sometimes that would be easier when phones are difficult. Do you have a plan in place for what to do when your voices are being problematic?

SnowyMouse · 26/12/2014 15:33

I wish I could email too. I'll just have to get through it.

Enpoid · 26/12/2014 19:43

Hoping things are improving for you this evening Mouse.
