Will happily go for you if it involves only blood tests or similar. No coil fittings/therapy appointments.

EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:43

So, let me get this right, I probably shouldn't have called them to ask if the reference in the letter to "you soon identified blah blah" would identify me as noncompliant or go against me? Grin

I'm never taking bloody pregabalin again. I'm not normal on that stuff.

Mitchy1nge · 16/11/2014 22:43

there might be blood tests actually

they are usually a separate and easier bit though

am meant to be beyond the reach of the psychotherapeutic grasp but there will be the awkwardness of that motivational enhancement shit

Mmm. Sounds less than fun. You're welcome to it.

Mitchy1nge · 16/11/2014 22:44

what did they say when you asked them that?

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:46

They said it wouldn't go against me. Come to think of it, I didn't actually ask that - I just asked if i'd been identified as refusing treatment/non-compliant/lacking insight - they were the ones who brought "going against me" into it Hmm

EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:50

When I saw the psychiatrist last week he wrote me down for so many blood tests the phlebotomist had to go off and ask what some of them were before taking five vials out of me Hmm

Including tests for deficiencies, thyroid function, and rhabdomyolysis Confused

Mitchy1nge · 16/11/2014 22:51

rhabdo! Why?

only know of that from horror stories of over exertion

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:52

Because I said my muscles ached on the pregabalin Hmm

Mitchy1nge · 16/11/2014 22:53

like people who run marathons every day or some other extreme

thought was a urine test

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:55

Oh well.

Am terrified blood tests are precursor to being "encouraged" to take medications that require blood tests.

Mitchy1nge · 16/11/2014 22:57

wish had not googled rhabdo urine

attempting to sleep to the accompaniment of images of dark brown wee and positive affirmations about being too fat to lead a normal life

I wonder if Infinity ended up visiting her DP's parents this weekend. Hope she's okay.

EnpoTree · 16/11/2014 22:59

Ah I'm liking this thread.......had a big Grin at the magical hot bath, cup of life enhancing tea, the wonder of the walk, and the distractions - oh the distractions - if only we could get the hang of them.........a NA on the ward "well let's face it we all have bad days" and yes I kid you not I got "you need to pull yourself together" and "cheer up it can't be that bad" and that was relatively recently (2010.) I did complain to the ward manager about the last 2 comments and she did seem pretty horrified.

The conslt psych was a nightmare with the social skills of a slug........refused to have eye contact and did a good line in intimidation.

I do have a lovely CPN though..........

Keema you crack me up..........cockwomble - love it.

EnpoTree · 17/11/2014 01:18

social skills of a slug

Ooh, I think I've met that one Grin

Shock that someone actually used the "pull yourself together" line on you.

Joking apart, that's appalling and well done for complaining.

EnpoTree · 17/11/2014 02:27

Must sleep.

Can't sleep.

Bah.

Mitchy1nge · 17/11/2014 09:17

I like telling people to pull self together, well I say 'people' but I mean me and my own self mainly

but I do THINK IT about others, they can't stop me thinking

although largely they have actually as not much useful thought happening these days

anyway hope you slept a bit, feel like had an amazing sleep, don't even mind that appear to have amassed an extra 50 stone (technically 300g) - if achieve school and run on time will go to appointment, if not it must not be God's will

Good morning everyone. I actually got a decent night's sleep last night.

have an urge to get out and do stuff today, but have managed to get as far as the laptop. I can see a kitchen full of washing up and stuff that need tidying. Who knows. Perhaps today could be the kitchen's lucky day.

There's lots of ways of saying "pull yourself together" without actually saying it.

"You need to find a way of dealing with this." is one of them. Like its that easy
.

EnpoTree · 17/11/2014 10:19

It makes me think of drawstring bags in a sphinctery and unhelpful way.

Glad you both slept well Smile

Think I eventually drifted off some time after 4.30am. Sigh.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 17/11/2014 10:23

Right. Kitchen. You, me and a sponge scourer.

Even you Microwave. Even you.
