It probably turns your tits into potatoes or something.

All these drugs have some kind of awful side effects. It's just a case of choosing which ones you want. I choose none of the bastards because I'm not bloody psychotic.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 12:49

I haven't read up on it much yet but I always remain sceptical of what the drug companies are pushing. I'm happy to try it as a guinea pig though.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 12:49

It's only worth risking the side effects of the illness is worse IMO.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 12:50

If, not of.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 12:50

Do you happen to remember what it's called?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 12:51

It's called lurasidone.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 12:52

nobody has bothered to share with me compelling evidence of aripiprazole's efficacy as an anti-manic yet

does not stop me feeling deprived Envy

but actually do v well on lithium alone most of the time, all things considered

Ah I found it anyway Grin

Looks very very similar to the other 2nd gen drugs.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 12:55

I've received a lot of bumpf about it but haven't had a chance to read it yet so I can't pass judgement either way.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 12:58

You know what, I would be pissed off about the damage done to me by psychiatry even if I'd actually been ill and required it, but the fact that I've never actually been psychotic or manic and yet inexplicably have been dumped on antipsychotics and mood-stabilisers for years (I recently found out valproate shouldn't be given to girls because it causes PCOS - thanks, guys) really fills me with despair and regret.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 12:58

Well, it's always worth looking into new treatments.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 13:00

I fancy a nice long walk in the sunshine today. I wish DP would get outlet of bed.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 13:01

Hoover round the bed. Always works.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 13:03

oh my god we have clipped and washed (carrying buckets of hot water for miles! lukewarm on arrival!) and brushed this pony for prospective buyers and they fucking cancel 2 minutes before they were expected

Angry

Could you not take her a nice cup of tea and an omelette and speak in gently quiet tones while mentally screaming GET OUT OF BED?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 13:03

That would involve getting the Hoover out which I refuse to do. I'll just bang and crash about and if all else fails I'll whip the duvet off the bed.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 13:03

cleaned tack for NO REASON

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 13:03

Oh what cunts Mitchy. My condolences.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 13:04

That's incredibly rude of then Mitchy, not to mention frustrating.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 13:04

Go and press on her bladder in the guise of "wanting a cuddle". Works every time.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 13:05

at least they sent a pathetic excuse and apology

yay can have bath now instead

is an ill wind etc

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 13:06

Did the pony at least enjoy the experience?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 13:08

No need, she's up, I can hear the floorboards creaking.

EnpoTree · 09/11/2014 13:09

Not sure walk in sunshine will be too appealing to hungover person.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 09/11/2014 13:10

The promise of a swift G&T in the pub when finished should be enough encouragement Wink
