Yeah double taxation treaties etc.

I just have a horror of paperwork and have a feeling that the US tax code is complicated enough that you probably need a US tax specialist accountant to file for you if it is even remotely complicated.

I did a tax return once because I worked out I owed HMRC about £4.50. They write me back a lovely letter saying I didn't need to pay it Shock and that they were waiving the "if you've ever filed even one tax return, you need to keep filing for the rest of your life" requirement. They are human!

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:18

I am one of the never-employed. Hmm I don't know how either of you do it Grin

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:22

I don't do any of that kind of thing ever

there is a recentish ex mr mitchy to do anything involving numbers

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:24

main occupation appears to be straining my right soleus

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:25

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:26

Numerate ex, I mean.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:26

Well done orange horse Smile

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:30

well I hope he's useful and not doing anything horrible with what little I have

will be bad if he dies and have to pay someone Shock

yawning my head off

is it ridiculously early to go to bed even if I pretend to read?

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:37

Probably. Do you care if it's ridiculous?

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 19:42

I could go to bed now but I'm too excited.

MrsMP is self employed so we go through the tax return nightmare every year. Thankfully she has a good accountant who takes care of the practice accounts too.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:43

only if it means bounding out of bed at 1am and rampaging round the house and having no energy for a long day of Grandchild

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:46

I'm about to get dressed to go to sit about at encourage DP at the gym. Then will get back and eat dinner. No bed for me for hours and hours and hours.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 19:48

I'm always in bed by 10 as I find it helps me to have a regular going to bed/getting up time. I'm sure it makes me very boring but I find it helps my mood.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:50

is single most important thing I do too

well that and lithium

neither were easy to adopt as habits tho, especially wake/sleep routine

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 19:51

obviously take time off from routine in order to make small effort at Social Life now and then

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 19:52

Obviously I have the occasional late night too but not that often.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:53

Rock and roll.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 19:54

I'm quite worried about the change in time zones triggering a manic episode as happened before.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 19:56

I hope not. Good luck though.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 20:10

what can you do or take with you in case that happens?

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 20:12

have eaten 10:30pm yoghurt (never later than 9 in real life) and taken lithium and if there was a light in my room could go to bed with Runners World

if my heart could take the excitement

lucky am too pathetic to change a bulb
