I think that covers us all?

is there a pet taxi near you infinity? I used to be insured for that when I ran canine (existential) psychotherapy groups

they might need to be defra registered but worth looking into?

PT was great, she tortured stretched and foam rollered me and brought out The Beast and did some massage with her knobbly fingers

Is it a long drive to Heathrow for you, Mp? I understand if you don't want to say, BTW, I'm just thinking of childhood family holidays driving down to a London airport from bloody Yorkshire at 3am Grin

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 17:57

Mmm, knobbly massage.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 17:58

oh we also did some vo2 max boosting stuff like 300m repeats on the rower

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 17:59

DP has bought Mavis a present. An alarm clock. Apparently her current [arf] one is actually seriously potentially electrically lethal Hmm

He's also invited her round for a bath tomorrow. WIBU to swathe every surface of the house in clingfilm?

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:02

I like the rower but it hurts my back a bit after 10-15 minutes.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth going to the gym today with my shitty ankle. I might as well. If I skive off DP might join me and it was hard enough to get him in a routine in the first place.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:03

Is vo2 max super important? Should I find out what it is? Presumably its something to do with the maximum amount of air you can utilise?

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 18:07

I dunno if is super important but my anaerobic fitness is apparently quite poor, in fact she doesn't think I have the muscular strength for the stuff I do already (which, duh, obviously I have or how would it get done?)

but eventually I will be the strongest and fastest person in the world which is all I'm aiming for

Have impressive aerobic fitness and endurance though all things considered!

What will you do at the gym?

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:11

I'm not sure. Chest presses? Standing about looking decorative?

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:12

It looks like your PT goes into quite a lot of detail.

InfinitySeven · 12/11/2014 18:14

I am the most unfit person ever. I am just too delicate for exercise. I break badly every time.

Went to get the milk, and something for tea. Was okay going. Got absolutely drenched on the way back. I'm so wet that the water is just sitting on my eyelashes, and my skin. Eurgh.

Gecks is still alive, which I guess is good. I'll do what I can for him. It hurts more because I was (am?) desperate to be a reptile vet, but my shake rules it out. If I was trained, I'd be able to help him :(

Enpo Could you just sit in the cafe at the gym?

Mitchy Good work on personal training :)

I might call the psychiatrist back later and try and leave a message. I'm not sure what to say, but I think I might need some kind of support before 1st Dec. Adult Social Services have asked them to assess me for a care coordinator, so that would help.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 18:15

she's supposed to be some magic rehabilitative person

if the rower hurts your back have you set the damper thing too high? I usually train between about 4 and 6 otherwise my back hurts

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 18:16

Sounds like you had a good workout mitchy.

We're about 90 minutes from heathrow so not too bad. Will leave two hours for the journey though, just to be on the safe side.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:21

Café Grin I wish there was a café. It's just a community facility based in the local slightly grotty comp which I'm sure is wonderful really. There are some chairs opposite reception, I think? And I've seen a vending machine with chocolate bars in it.

Sorry you've got so wet. It's horrible being soggy Sad What did you get for your tea?

I didn't know that about the damper, Mitch - the trainer tried to explain it to me but I didn't understand what it was supposed to do so I just stick it on ten Blush

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:22

You don't have to be up at 2am, then, at least, Mp Grin

All packed?

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 18:29

damper settings

InfinitySeven · 12/11/2014 18:34

Oops. We have a cafe. I used to spend far longer recovery there than in the actual gym.

I look like a drowned rat. Mattes galore.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:38

Ooh, that's useful; thanks! Was doing 30spm at level 10 (cause that's what everyone always leaves it on) - that article seems to suggest I need it lower and slower Blush

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:40

I walk home to recover - it seems to work pretty well as I don't tend to get muscle aches too badly. Also the sooner I get home the sooner I can have a cup of tea Grin

Mentalpsychiatrist · 12/11/2014 18:41

No, nowhere near as early as 2am, that would be horrendous.

I'm all packed with the exception of my wash bag. DP is staring blankly at her wardrobe hoping the clothes will magic themselves into a suitcase. I'm being productive and cooking dinner. Very excited.

EnpoTree · 12/11/2014 18:41

Wet rats do look very doleful. I've seen a lot in my time.

Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 18:42

see what works best over whatever distance you are doing

I find they are all a tiny bit different anyway but get my best times at about 5

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 12/11/2014 18:43

am v excited for you, don't forget to bring us back some presents
