Hi girls!

im plodding along. Struggling to do much less than 1400/1500 cals in just so hungry! That’s prob a little under my maintenance so may get a few pounds off but won’t make it to 9.10 I don’t think as it’s pretty hard work getting there.

anyways I was 10.0 today so got one of my weekend off.
will weigh again tmrw and then hope I can drop my cals a bit more

1400 today . Will stay away from the dark chocolate tonight! Herbal tea and fasting begins!

All good here, slowly getting back into it. Just hungrier but eating healthy. Not weighed this week not really got a plan when to weigh. Maybe Monday to get me through the weekend!

I am 11:2:7 which is just over 1lb on from last Friday. Annoying that it’s gone on since Wednesday I’ve obviously gone wrong somewhere. I may do a little chart plotting out what weight I want to be when to reach my goals for the end of April so I am looking a little further ahead than from week to week and keeping myself on track. Probably won’t make any difference but with a try! I got my strength session in yesterday so gym done for the week. Wil just be any steps I can get in now and over the weekend. Note to self - don’t go silly!!

Back up to see mom on Sunday then I’ll see what happens next. Practicing self care at the moment just had breakfast and a catch up with a friend which is nice. Did weigh in this morning seem settled at around 11:2 so that’s ok but not my priority right now.

well done @Smartmove and @hollyblueivy I can recommend an app called happy scale which tracks trends rather than the ups and downs. You set your goal weight and it breaks it into smaller goals so you feel a sense of accomplishment 😊

Hey, hope we’ve all managed to enjoy a little bit of the weekend without going too far overboard?

I had curry and a beer on Friday but homemade not takeaway. I had four drinks and lunch out yesterday and a small dinner. Today I had three poached eggs in two sourdough toast for lunch and chicken dinner with no alcohol. I went for a long walk yesterday which is the only exercise over the weekend. All really enjoyable and feel in control hoping to be not too far up tomorrow.

my weekend didn’t go great! But it’s fine i had fun! I had 4 drinks on sat night so was craving carbs yest and had pizza and mini eggs! I did work out both sat and Sunday (and Friday). Will weigh tmrw but know it will be up but hoping it will come off asap as only 2 days !

I was just over 9. 12.5 on Friday . Aim to be 9.12 by Friday. 9.10 is my lowest and where I like to be but clearly I put on 3 pounds on fat over Xmas as it’s not off yet!!!!

11:2:5 so pretty much the same as I was on Friday and I’ll take that as a win.

my plan is to lose half a pound a week to be 7lb lighter by end April so super slow and steady. If I can’t do that th n I’m a lost cause! That would take me to 11st 1lb based on my little chart thing I have done working back from April.

ill do three gym session this week and try to get extra steps in between. I do have a meal out on Friday but maybe I’ll go for food and not drink alcohol.

This week will be fruit, lunch and dinner. Low carb where possible. I no longer drink coffee with sugar, I have fully weaned myself off now, another win!

Did Cardio at gym yesterday so will go and do strength today.

i had a banana mid morning, soup for lunch with one sourdough slice and chilli for dinner with red lentils and salad.

but today I’ve done 1150 cals but no time to work out

fasting starts now . I can do this!

I had
cottage cheese salad and some sourdough
home made chicken pie no pastry lots of broccoli
my usual dark chocolate!

Sounds like a good day @Smartmoveyou have just reminded me I have some cottage cheese that’s needs to be eaten tomorrow. Do you just make a salad and then add the cottage cheese? I have only really added it to egg and made egg muffins with it before.

I didn’t make it to the gym! No steps either!

Food has been a bit random. Leftover chilli for lunch and then just had some mackerel on sourdough toast for dinner but also have some hoisin chicken skewers in the oven for a post dinner snack.

Hello, sounds like all positive. Well done girls! Im doing ok. After an awful weekend. Not weighed but think I'll still be over 10. Back into the rut of good weeks and awful weekends. Need to break that!
Managed lots of runs and trying so hard to get back into my strength training!

Good day today.

Lunch was lentil and bacon soup, added a chicken skewer and some cheese with one toasted sourdough.

Dinner was mushroom and tomato omelette with beans and sourdough toast.

Gym was half an hour treadmill. Was supposed to be strength but didn’t have the energy so will do that tomorrow as my third workout.

Hoping for a slight loss by Friday.

@hollyblueivy yes mix in tomatoes cucumber and weirdly avacado goes really well in it! The creamy avacado matches well!

me too - work out. Legs are killing today you can tell I’ve had Xmas off and off due to cold all my workouts and giving me bad DOMS. And I had
yoghurt and fruit
egg white feta omlette
chicken soup
some dark chocolate:)

will weigh tmrw as I know I be up from water retention due to dons!

Sounds like you’re on the right track @Smartmove and hopefully your body will get used to the weight again soon. I have found that with my strength sessions too.

I was 11:3 this morning which is up and could be a number of things, I have started creatine so for this reason alone I think I need to take my weight with a pinch of salt over the next two weeks. It could be due to food volume although I don’t think I’ve overeaten but have been going heavy on the sourdough. And also I need to up my fibre intake, so having water with chia seeds this morning.

We keep on keeping on. Friday again tomorrow everyone. Let’s have a good day today.

stuck to plan except one biscuit which sneaked in
im hungry right now but will ignore it!!!!!

I couldn’t hardly work today coz of my doms am shocked 2 weeks off causing so much pain!

tmrw I’m out for dinner plan to totally on plan all day and enjoy dinner/drinks
sat stright back on. Not sure about weighing tmrw as I know I’ll be up due to DOMS!

Had soup again for lunch and a 99cal bar. Did my strength session. Dinner was chicken pasta bake. Made a mistake serving a smallish portion and realised I was more hungry and now I’m on my third portion which means I’ve eaten a mountain of pasta!

Not expecting a loss tomorrow but will weigh anyway.

Hi all... sorry to have just vanished so precipitously..... I got a bug and took a while to emerge.

Firstly, and most importantly sending you huge hugs @WorthySloth - such a very tough, yet precious time... good luck and so appreciate your challenge of 4 DC at home.... I have been there but when DC were at uni, so able to focus on DM which really helped...So glad you are managing to include some self-care

Thanks for asking after me @Bubbles44 - do appreciate it!!

And @AInightingale ... like you, I couldnt quite be doing with the apple cider vinegaar.... happy to put into dressings but not neat or even in hot water. I did combine 24h fasts with 11/8 and sometimes 36h ones - it definitely helped the weight off, but almost as effective, and much less stressful was having one or two days of 500 calories in 30minutes... I did that for a long time, well until I got to target weight really.

And me and Christmas - it really helped coming on here and being on the Countdown to Christmas thread... I managed to get back to pre-Christmas a couple of days after but then sadly put on lots over NYE including being unwell. It's taken until now to get back to 10.11, which is a very healthy BMI for me.

So thank you for welcoming me over Christmas and for now, I'll return to just the Countdown to February thread.... thought will pop on here and read from time to time - helpful and much appreciated motivation. Congrats on making great progress and may you all be successful in 2026.

Sounds like a good balanced weekend @Smartmovewell done. Hope are you getting on @Bubbles44, are you getting many runs in at the moment? @WorthySlothTake the pressure off at the moment, but thinking of you.

The Friday before last I was 11:2:7, this Friday I was 11:3 and today I am 11:2:7 so a couple of weeks just maintaining. According to my little plan / schedule thing I have done, I need to be 1lb lighter by Friday. That is my strict aim!! Then essentially I need to be losing half a pound every single week.

Last weekend in January, let’s make it the week that everything starts to click back into place ready for a successful February!

Gym x3 / plenty water / lunch and dinner only

I have bdays in the house at end of week so it’s going to cake central and hard to navigate so before that I need a really good week!!!!!

plan is to work out wed Thursday Friday
kiwi toghurt
lentil salad
chicken stir fry today
try no stay away from dark chocolate if I can for a few days to lower the cals by 150 a day!
I weighed in at 10.13 today would love to be 10.12 by the weekend!
