In at 10.1 today which is 4 up from 9.11 at start of Xmas time. 9.10 is where I like to be but it’s hard! So anyways I’ve lost one of the Xmas new year bloat . Hoping one is off in a few days as I get serious now! No plans till 29th Jan so will behave!

have a terrible cold so in bed and won’t manage gym again which is also stressing me out @Bubbles44 as feel like my muscles r wasting away! I’ve not done a proper workout for a while!!!

Looks like I was 9.13 entering Xmas as put some on the week before too! Prob gonna take time to take off!

@Bubbles44Hope the icy weather doesn’t keep you away from running for too long. Would a walk also be risky or is that just not the same?

@WorthySloth Well done for getting those first couple of pounds off! Are you officially in the new year / diet mode now?

@SmartmoveI haven’t strength trained in so long I also feel like my muscles will be gone and have to start over. I did intend to get on the creatine earlier this year but wasn’t consistent with it so going to try that again. Hope you’re feeling lots better soon.

It’s been my last day of no diet today. Had some caramel Aero, red wine and a big beef roast dinner. So stuffed and so ready to weigh tomorrow and get going!

11:3:4

First goal get under 10 stone
second goal get to 10:9
third goal maintain around 10:7 (2-3lb either side)

Aim to get to 10:7 by end April - 16 weeks averaging half a pound off per week.

@hollyblueivy I think we have the same goals and similar time frame for doing it in!

I’ve been back at work which can help with the weight loss… no constant snacking and generally on the go. Worked yesterday then slept in currently back at home with a mug of tea before I get my nails done 😊 had a couple of stollen bites but that’ll be it until lunchtime now.

will weigh in tomorrow morning 👍

Up to see my mom today so no exercise and shocking food. She’s been put on end of life medication so I need to see what’s going on with her.

My week has been ok. Eaten well and long fasts. Lack of movement is definitely slowing things down. But should be running by the weekend so hopefully will feel better then. Nothing planned in January so need good weekends!

Ahhh @WorthySloth that sounds very stressful. I’m not looking fwd to the days with elderly or ill parents I can imagine it’s very difficult. I hope she was ok and glad to see you .

im still so unwell! So sadly ive just been eating a lot of toast and carbs not moving been in bed and sleeping a lot. 2026 has not started off great with my fitness and health! I am better today phew! So tmrw I will weigh and begin operation loss Xmas weight! I will also start workout tmrw gently think I’ll be ready!

Hope you're feeling lots better now @Smartmove rubbish when you want to get started but your body has other ideas. Hope you gently ease back into things.

@hollyblueivy @loveyouradvice how are you both getting on?

I'm doing ok. Managed quite a few steps but no running as knee still recovering. If it's ok weather wise I should be ok for Saturday running! Food and fasting good, although massive chocolate cravings tonight. Think I need to go to bed.

I’m staying around 11:2 which is fine. Hopefully won’t gain at the moment. I’m not going to drink until 31/1 in case I need to go up to see mom so that will help.

working 12 hours today have brought a sandwich and will get a roast dinner then working tomorrow and sleeping in so I’ll bring a sandwich and eat whatever is for tea tomorrow. Visiting mom on Tuesday so no idea what I’ll be eating then.

Quick check in, I got to 11:1:6 on Friday but have been indulging this weekend and was 11:2:3 this morning. Either way it’s still at least 1lb down from the new year bloat.

I did one strength session and walked 8 miles over the week. Would have liked another strength session but have a bit of a sore throat so using that as an excuse.

Will reset tomorrow and go again for another week. Same again really, lunch and dinner, hydration and 2x strength plus 1x cardio sessions.

I am annoyed with myself this morning after going off the rails this weekend. 3lb on and 11:4:7. I have no one to blame but myself.

The same plan will apply for this week but I may drop a strength and do one more cardio for this week to try to burn some calories.

I need to work on staying in control next weekend.

I’ve not weighed as been a bit lax though not crazy over weekend I also got back to my weights after a good 3 weeks off !!!!! Xmas and illness got in way I think I only managed 2 sessions in that time. Anyways as a result I’m in so much pain and have DOMS, so know I’ll be up. I’ll weigh tmrw! I would like to drop 1 by Friday

My focus is off and if i remember rightly it took me the best part of January to find my flow with it. I’m trying for a good day today, kind of taking each day as a new challenge to try again.

Yes, back to running which is good. Although it's so hard getting up so early again after a few days off. So ready for lighter mornings!

I'm struggling too. I always think January will be easier than it is. Not doing awful but definitely not as strict as I need to be to lose the Christmas weight! Fasting and exercise good so just taking the positives and hoping it clicks into place soon!

Mid week check in and I’m 11:1:6 so weekend bloat has gone and I’m back to where I was on Friday. It does make you wonder what the progress would look like without going all silly on the weekend. My biggest plan this week is to not go silly!

Went to gym Monday (45 mins) and yesterday (30 mins) just on the treadmill so will do a strength session probably tomorrow and that is my gym sessions done for the week. Just need to add in the steps on the other days as I want to average 8k over the week.

Couple of more days and I’ll see if I can squeeze a tiny loss by Friday for a mini win.
