Ah that's annoying @Smartmove after such a good day yesterday. I'm sure another good day will see a good loss.

I was down 4 pounds this morning. Need to keep at it though and not self sabotage and think I can control it which is what happened the last 2 years around this time!

anyways will make me super focussed today
but tmrw we having Prosecco and pizza in (I think I’ll go with half a pizza and a huge salad)
really the 1st Jan is when I start operation get Xmas weight off!

Yest didn’t go to plan
was good all day then family came with edible gifts and wine and I was having a good time
today will be good in day but having an early dinner with kids and some fizz

then tmrw the real operation begins! I hope I don’t spend all of Jan and Feb getting it off! I have zero plans till end of Jan and will keep it that way. Also planning on hiding all sweet treats tmrw as I can’t be trusted around then!

Similar to me. Fasted until 5, healthy meal but then quite a few chocolates and biscuits. Not sure how today will go. I've done a 10k but already got chocolates on my mind. Eating out later too!
Looking forward to some routine next week.

morning! Weighed in yesterday before my trip away at 11:2ish. Was out last night which was excellent then out again tonight. That’s it until the end of January so from tomorrow I am back on it and hopefully under 11 by the time I go away. Goal is at 11 stone then I will be moving it downwards when I am there.

currently inspired by a colleague who has lost 6 stone since July 😱

2 weeks sounds eminently do-able @Smartmove

I however - after my impressive Christmas - am feeling slightly foolish. I had two "fast" days, supposedly with low calories in a 6 hour window... on the second one, I ate two small portions of sticky toffee pudding and 4 chocolates! Hmm... weight went up to 11.0

Out for festive supper last night, ate very healthily but in an 11 hour window and the weight is up again! Darn... I was doing so well.

I'm going to enjoy tonight (modestly!) and then have two rebalancing days so hopefully will get back under 11 before a party on the 3rd, and then, phew, life returns to normal...

SW (Xmas season): 10.12.6
CW: 11.1.4... so up 3 pounds in just 2 days
GW (max): 11.2

@WorthySloth sound like we are hovering around the same place - what's your end goal? Mine's 10.7 and quite happy to get there slowly, once I'm back to preChristmas 10.11/12....

I’ve weighed in. 11:3.6. Not really got anything planned for the next month so hoping to be solidly under 11 by the 31/1 when I have a night away.

think I am currently carrying a chunk of beer weight which should go as I don’t have any nights out planned for the next few weeks.

How did I do this? well, clearly I know - I fell back into familiar old patterns of eating....

So Yes I have put on the "Christmas 5lbs" - only after Christmas
Feeling rather foolish having got back to pre Christmas weight a couple of days after Christmas...

SW (Xmas season): 10.12.6
CW: 11.3.8... so 5lbs up: over 2 pounds last night, 3 pounds the preceding 2 days
GW (max): 11.2

Wanting to curse loudly ... while trying to gently remind myself it is a journey, I am learning a new way of eating and am not going to get it right all the time... I am getting there... and eating as I did over Christmas was a triumph and a signal of the "new me"!

Luckily 2 days now of gentle family eating before a party on the 3rd which I plan to enjoy, and then 8 days with no eating socially so hope that by 11 Jan I am back at 10.12... lets see if I can do it. Eating modestly while DC home, and then that week, I'll do a couple of 500cals in a 60 minute window days which really seems to work for me... fingers crossed!

I think we r all not too bad! well done @loveyouradvice i think it will be off asap as gone on so quickly

My nibbling habit has continued today sadly and im down 2 biscuits and some Pantone. I am however in process of putting it all in a bag to throw: give away / hide so def an end to it tmrw!
im going alcohol free now for next month too

Happy new year everyone! Slipped into bank holiday mode today. Eating left over chocolates etc. Starting as I mean to go on tomorrow. Early run, fast as long as I can and lots of healthy food! It will definitely get easier from Monday when back in work. Might weigh again tomorrow for the shock. Can definitely feel all the bloat back on.

Hi everyone, hope you had a nice rest over Christmas and Happy New Year. I genuinely feel that this is the year we all reach our targets and smash maintaining them!

I have been in Christmas mode since Christmas Eve and don’t go back to work until Monday. It has been lovely as I haven’t massively indulged but just had a bit of treats each day and more days than not a drink or two. It’s felt very Christmassy. Not been to the gym but done a couple of walks.

I may weigh today.

Plan coming together from Monday which is my official start day. I won’t be doing dry January but will only have one day per week that I’ll have 2-3 drinks.

Food plan will be lunch and dinner. No snacks unless fruit or veg.

Plenty of water and no sugar in hot drinks. Not sure I can go the full black coffee route but no sugar is a good start.

Fitness will be three sessions per week. 2 strength and 1 cardio, also trying to keep steps reasonable. (Average at least 8k over the month.)

On here my weigh day will be based on Friday ring today but I will continue to weigh more frequently than that.

Anything else I’m missing?

Lets go!

Looking good @hollyblueivy - what's your approach to protein? I've really upped mine in last 5 months and I think it made a huge difference...

Gradually going back to my preferred way of eating but rather scuppered by wanting to spend time with DC and friends who keep very late hours... come Sunday, I'll be back to a nice sane 5-8h from 9 or 10... Im amazed how much I love it, given in my 20s I was black coffee until 6pm and then ravenous!!

Sounds like you had a great mindful Christmas @hollyblueivy well done. I'm feeling a positive year too.
Not the best start today for me as really icy out so no run. Sore knee and a house full of kids! So food choices not what hoped for. Definitely not saying I'm not starting until Monday but starting to look like that. Really hope I can get a run in this weekend but it's not looking great temperature wise.

@hollyblueivy sounds like you have achievable and healthy sustainable ideas there!
so today was just fine. I have a weird cold thing so didn’t manage gym sadly and spent a lot of time in bed with no steps
yoghurt and mango
lentil soup for lunch home made
went for improtu curry and my tandoori chicken was tiny! Got starving and had half a naan and some of my son’s curry!
reckon I came in at maintence which is annoying.
will try harder tmrw and going to weigh tmrw as no idea where I am atm after new year indulgences!

Good food day, knee still hurting so not much movement. Weather looks grim for the next week so can't imagine I'll be running for a few days which is stressing me! My calorie burn is so low on my garmin when I haven't run. But not worth risking further injury, so I will control the things I can which is food and fasting!

Weighed in this morning at 11:1.6 which is 2lb down. Reckon that’s the beer weight disposed of 🤣🤣

not doing dry January but have nothing planned until 31/1 so will sort of be doing it by default which will help.

target is set to 11st will revise downward when I get there!
