I have managed to avoid both alcohol and take away this weekend. Still had some treats at home and lots of bread so will likely be up tomorrow!

@Bubbles44 also a fail! I had drinks and dinner out sat and then Sunday wanted carbs all day long so I just ate them! Feeling bloated but ready to have a good week as have dinner out on sat night….
@hollyblueivy well done with the no alcohol hope scales kind to you today!

Sounds like a good weekend was had by many this weekend! I know my social calendar will start ramping up soon for Christmas so trying to take a quiet weekend where I can. Managed the gym on Saturday too.

11:4:1 today so marginally down from Friday and not too far away from last Monday.

Im up for having a good week this week! Will go to the gym three times as that seems to help me feel less bloated even if the scales are barely moving.

What are you going to implement this week to try to have a good one?!

Been working all weekend and slept in at work last night. Had a full on roast there with extra potatoes then did a bowl of leftover potatoes for myself before bed 🤣🤣 what can I say? I can’t resist spuds 🤣🤣

anyway today I am sitting in the hospital day unit because my youngest is having a benign breast lump removed so no idea what I m going to be eating today. Will weigh in tomorrow 👍

I had a good day yest and so far today. It’s just so cold atm motivating myself to go to basement to gym is just so hard! I’ll def do tmrw am and Friday am but I would like to try today too but I just get lazy by 5pm when hubby home to have DD!!

I was annoyingly 10 today
amazing how one weekend of eating and drinking a lot can push me up! God knows wot I was on Monday!

anyways today was a good day and healthy and did my workout
think it made me realise I have to just accept healthy eating and excercising all the time if I want to keep my weight below 10!
I am busy at weekend but hopefully get down a pound or two next few days

@SmartmoveI know what you mean about being cold to work out. I’m having the same thing getting motivated to move and go out to the gym when it’s dark and cold. I went on Monday so will get there today even if only for a light session then think my third session will have to be Sunday morning.

I’ve also decided to join slimming world to try to get a bit more accountability and move things along a bit. I joined yesterday and will weigh again with them next Wednesday. I’m having a go at writing everything I eat and drink down. I have a good feeling about the week ahead.

Morning all, I’m so happy today a I weighed 11:2:5 which is 2lb off from last week. The scales are finally moving in the right direction after so long faffing about. I can’t remember the last time I lost 2lb in a week.

I can’t remember feel my sense of determination going into the weekend as I have already told myself that if the family want a takeaway they can and I will happily make myself a meal at home. I did a lovely slimming world curry last night and had it with broccoli stirred in rather than carbs. There’s a bit leftover for lunch today today so that’s another meal sorted.

I couldn’t be bothered with the gym yesterday. A session is usually an hour for me so I told myself just go and do half an hour and I managed 40 minutes so pleased with that too.

Just a quick update on mum - she has recently been told that the cancer has gone, the chemo and surgery was successful. Absolutely amazing news. There is a period of maintenance treatment but she has got the result we all hoped for.

So pleased to hear that @hollyblueivy great news, what a relief! Well done also on dropping 2 pounds. Are you finding the SW making you more motivated? Will you change much or just be more mindful of calories?

I'm 9.12 today too @Smartmove managed to get rid of the weekend sugar bloat. Out and about tomorrow at Christmas events.
Will be sensible but not go into f** it mode if I do have some sugar!!
Occasionally I wish I could work all weekend to not break the routine. How ridiculous is that!!

I did go off plan yesterday. Annoyingly I was ok whilst out, skipped lunch and just had some delicious cake but then came home and continued eating rubbish! It's ok as long as straight back on it today. Run this morning, busy day so going to stay on track. Luckily not much nice food in the house!

That’s doesn’t sound too bad for a Saturday and you’re straight back on it today so hopefully be ok. Hope you enjoyed the cake and other bits. Well done to still be running. I am very much a fair weather runner so probably won’t run outside until the spring now. I’ll do short runs at the gym but more boring so can’t do too long.

Had a good day yesterday, went to a lovely Christmas market so feeling festive. Avoided all the bakery, mulled wine and other treats and had my leftovers dinner for a late lunch. Wasn’t then hungry at dinner so had a big bowl of chopped fruit with yoghurt. I made sure I ate before going to the market to help with the temptation which was a boiled egg and fruit and yogurt. No alcohol and a 2 mile walk in addition to walking round the market.

If I can make it through Sunday I should be ok going back into the new week.

How was everyone Sunday?
mine was carb and sugar filled! And I didn’t work out. Not sure what I think I was doing. Xmas and the cold make me lazy and want to hibernate. I also had 2 drinks on sat.

anyways back to it today

cod curry

coffees

will weigh on wed. Plan to be 9.12 on sat again pretty sure I’ll be 10 or over today and I don’t want to know!

@WorthySloth I hate a plateau but don’t stop or give up it will move it’s always harder once originally weight comes off!

@Bubbles44 hope not too much damage done on scale I think enjoying our weekends is normal and we should stop feeling guilty for it (though not sure I needed 2 slices of cake should have just had one!)

@hollyblueivy yiy sound very focussed hope it’s a good weigh in today x

I had a challenging day at work yesterday and in the end all I ate was a McDonalds breakfast wrap plus hash brown then a mince pie when I got home.

weighed in this morning at 11:1.2

24 hour shift at work today 😭😭 I am shattered already. Haven’t made lunch because I really can’t be bothered and for tea I will have whatever work provides.

@Smartmove I agree it is so much harder in the cold. I just want to be still in a blanket! Good luck for your weigh on Wednesday, give yourself a chance to settle from the weekend. This weekend is when my Christmas socials start kicking off so I think I need to be as good as I can be in between them. I don’t know whether to do as I please for the socials as that’s part of Christmas for me, or try to build in some control - not sure how though?

11:1:6 today - that means I lost nearly a pound over the weekend which is unheard of from me!! It won’t last but I’m doing what I can before it all piles back on again before January!

Will try to have a really good week and will see what happens.

Good day yesterday for me. I think if I can have one eat anything day a week it would be ok. It's just sticking to it is hard. The forever battle I guess. At the moment I'm just not buying nice food. Chocolate is my problem! Sticking to routine as best as. Possible!

@SmartmoveThat is my fear once the Xmas socials start, that every day will just merge together and I’ll be off plan until the new year. I can do a lot of damage in a short space of time which takes months to correct. I need to try to keep a lid on it as much as I can otherwise I’ll be regretting it for the first few months of the year.

You still have three days before you’re out on Saturday to balance things out.

11:1:00 for me today - I believe I will see a 10 soon! I am out on Friday and Saturday though and there is also talk of pub dinner on Sunday. Will see what happens.

Weighed in this morning at 11:0.6. Was hoping to be under 11 but I’m close.

meal out tonight with friends so I’m going to have a really small lunch to tide me over then I’ll have what I want tonight.

working Thursday and Friday not sure what I am doing on Saturday but Sunday I will spend the day in the car going to visit my mom because apparently she is deteriorating fast. She’s 96 and very frail.

anyway well done ladies let’s keep the gains within reasonable levels but enjoy the festive season 😊 I’ll still be here for a while 🤣🤣
