Oh ffs. 11:2.6 this morning 🤦‍♀️ ok so I had lunch out but I didn’t have a beer with it and all I ate otherwise was 6 small crackers with cheese as supper. Got my steps in went for a brisk walk in the rain with my group. Did a fair chunk of housework. Was hoping for at least a stay the same. Oh well onewards and downwards 🤞🤞

WorthySloth · 13/11/2025 18:34

So today I’ve done some housework and watched tv and done some knitting and cooked a really nice tea. Done about 2k steps my Apple Watch is about to check if I’m alive 🤣🤣 and I’ve just eaten a toffee crisp.

think I needed a day like today life has been hectic this year and any time I’m off work I’ve been away at gigs which can leave me broken because I have no sense and think I am way younger than I am 🤣🤣

hollyblueivy · 13/11/2025 19:00

@WorthySloth Your day sounds lovely!

I made it to the gym whoop whoop. I did half an hour cardio and half an hour weights. Didn’t push like crazy as just getting back into it but felt good to be there.

hollyblueivy · 14/11/2025 07:44

11:4:1 - A pound on from last week.

I have been getting quite into my jacket potatoes lately so wonder if I am eating too many carbs.

I will try to do some things differently over the next week.

Hope you’re all happy with the scales this morning. You are doing a great job at sticking to it!

Smartmove · 14/11/2025 07:46

Well done for the gym @hollyblueivy ! When are u going next? I find planning my sessions helpful as it means I go and I expect it!

weigh tmrw am feeling ok hoping for a good result! It’s the weekend and I’m going to stay away from alcohol as I have a social event every weekend now till Xmas !!!!!

OP posts:
WorthySloth · 14/11/2025 08:54

Make it make sense? I did absolutely nothing yesterday at all. Just weighed in at 11:0.8 🤦‍♀️ obviously I need more lazy days 🤣🤣

one thing I have been doing is prioritising my sleep… phone down by 8:30 then reading for an hour or so then sleep. Wonder if that is helping? Plus I’m drinking loads of fluids… when I’m at work I tend to restrict because it’s awkward getting drinks at times and it can also be difficult getting to the toilet depending on who I’m with and where we are (I know really not ideal)

anyway happy with that. Apparently I’ve lost 12lb since I started in August so probably averaging 1lb a week which tbh is ok.

Smartmove · 14/11/2025 09:09

Whoop whoop @WorthySloth ur gonna be in the tens soon!
I know sometimes it makes no sense I wonder if body catches up for good days before / less inflammation in muscles after a work out / going to loo!!! Who knows ! But it’s reassuring if u keep at it it will drop. It’s not easy though!

I’ve just had 2 slices of sourdough was totally worth the carbs! Will salmon and avacado lunch and home made chicken burgers but I’ll go without the bun I think . And of course no alcohol!

OP posts:
WorthySloth · 14/11/2025 09:44

Main meal today is a mince and onion and veg pie with a jacket potato. Made from veggie mince to accommodate a child. Not sure about lunch.

tomorrow I am tail walking at parkrun so that’ll be 5k by 10am. Out tomorrow night though so there will be beer 🤣🤣

hollyblueivy · 14/11/2025 10:26

That’s awesome @WorthySlothand thanks for sharing about your sleep and fluid intake. I need to up my water intake!

FYI - podcast may be of interest- Inside health - Can you be addicted to sugar?

WorthySloth · 15/11/2025 08:17

After another lazy day yesterday I weighed in this morning at 11:0.6. Maybe I’ve shocked my body by being lazy? Or maybe the extra fluid and decent sleep is genuinely helping?

off to tailwalk at parkrun this morning hopefully before it rains 🤣🤣 out this evening so tomorrow will be higher I expect.

good luck anyone weighing in today

Smartmove · 15/11/2025 08:46

9.10 finally made it
weekend now plan to maintain this week or drop 0.5!

OP posts:
WorthySloth · 15/11/2025 10:52

Well done @Smartmove here’s to maintaining or losing 👍

hollyblueivy · 16/11/2025 10:15

Well done both of you that’s fab.

I had alcohol yesterday and lots of picky foods. I did also go to the gym though. Which is three days in a row so hoping that will equate to some balance.

Sunday roast on the agenda today/.

Smartmove · 16/11/2025 19:13

Pizza an a few drinks
toast and some chocolate today
such is the weekends! Gym and steps done though
I’ll weigh tmrw fully expecting to be up and let’s hope I’m back to 9.10 by Friday

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 16/11/2025 19:15

I know I get myself in a tizz when I have a weekend and enjoy myself, but I guess at least I am trying during the week and not letting it roll over into the week too. Yes I have put some weight on, but I’m sure it would be much more if I wasn’t at least tying.

hollyblueivy · 17/11/2025 07:47

Oh dear. 11:5:00. That is the most I have been in well over a couple of years.

Little list of things to try to get 2-3lb off by Friday (maybe Sunday as that will be more of a whole week.)

Drink more tea rather than coffee as I don’t need to put sugar in my tea.
Drink fruit tea to try to increase overall fluid intake.
Only lunch and dinner - no snacks / pudding etc
Try to bulk meals with veg / salad and limit carbs.
Go to gym at least three times.
No alcohol all week including next weekend.

Anything else obvious that I might be missing to give myself the best chance of a good week?

Less than 6 weeks to Christmas 🎅 - Let’s go! (Again)

WorthySloth · 17/11/2025 08:54

@hollyblueivy do your cycles affect your weight? I’m menopausal I think and it’s definitely making it slower to lose weight. It’s disheartening really.

anyway I’ve weighed in after my weekend of drinking and laziness 😭😭 at 11:0.8. I’ll take that.

going to Birmingham tomorrow for a night with my daughter so there will be lots of food and some alcohol involved but there will definitely be lots of walking too. So hopefully not too much damage! After that I have two weekends where I am working so no alcohol which should help.

well done everyone we can do this!

Smartmove · 17/11/2025 13:57

Back to 9.12. That 9.10 doesn’t last long. Plan to get it off before my big night out on sat. Have no other plans till then. I think until Xmas I’m basically going to be firefighting ! I’m not buying any treats for home as the nights out will cause bloating and excess calorie gain and I can’t also afford puddings on top of this. It’s going to be a bit boring but essential!

holly main thing is fluid , don’t get too hungry so you binge , and keep up fruit and veg. You can do this! Think no alcohol will help too

@WorthySloth enjoy ur time away ! Nearly in the tens!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 18/11/2025 07:18

I’m weirdly 9.12.5 today! That’s annoyed me! Catching up from the weekend so today is going to have to be a low cal day. I won’t get any steps in as it’s pouring all day but I’ll go on the bike when hubby gets in later for 20 mins. I must do that!
yoghurt and kiwi
omlette
home made fajita with guacamole but no wrap for me
900 cals. 2 coffees with measured milk.

i can do this….

OP posts:
Smartmove · 19/11/2025 09:35

9.11
hopefully back to 9.10 for sat! And stay here for till Xmas

Hello everyone, well done @Smartmove sounds like you are in a good place with it atm. Really hope you continue over the next few weeks. How are you planning all the festivities?

Hope you've had a better week @hollyblueivy and get a loss this week. You're being accountable which is the most important thing and not spiralling!

How was your night away @WorthySloth hope back on plan ready to get to the 10s.

All ok here. The odd bit of sugar but cut down a lot and it's definitely helping cravings! Going between 9.12 and 10 at the mo so feel comfortable but would like to not go up to 10!

WorthySloth · 20/11/2025 08:39

Was going to weigh in this morning to see the damage but it’s too cold 🤣🤣 had a massive cup of tea before I start the day.

back to work tomorrow and back to routine 😢 will weigh in the morning

WorthySloth · 20/11/2025 11:43

I braved the scales. 11:2.3. Could be worse 😊

not got anything planned now until 3/12 when I’m meeting up with friends for a meal so 🤞 I might briefly see 10 on the scales before that 😊

hollyblueivy · 21/11/2025 07:47

Sounds like you’re all getting on with it, well done.

@WorthySloth Still entirely possible to see a 10 before your next social, keep going!

@Bubbles44Being accountable is about the only win I can take at the moment.

11:4:5 today which is about the same as last week.

I’ve worked out Monday and Wednesday and hope to get to the gym today or tomorrow for the three times per week goal.

I am a bit baffled with what’s going on with the scales and why I haven’t lost anything in so long. I am limiting alcohol and we haven’t been having a takeaway as frequently as we were. The days generally consist of lunch and dinner. I know that I am probably going a bit carb heavy with dinner as I have refound my love for a jacket potato.

I probably need to calorie count for a week to see what I am missing.

Here we go again for another week and another attempt at weight loss!
