2 things:

  1. I may be dying, I tested out my homemade hooch and a bottle of wine It's been a hoot if we never "talk" again
  1. I'm down to 11.2, down a stone since 16th Feb 😁😁😁😁

As you were, I'll just lay here all skinny & suffering

Good morning lovely ladies, sorry, last night I mixed up Not2B & Obs .....duh!!! 11.2 since 16th Feb, wow, I have a way to go before I join you thereWink

Not2B - I didn't drink spritzers last night, but somehow managed to avoid a 2nd hangover in 2 days, RESULT!! No idea how, a bottle of prosecco followed by 1/2 bottle of red is hardly on target, more like the self-sabotage we were all taking about yesterday.

Not feeling righteous this AM, feeling bloody lucky, as scales haven't budged in the upward direction.... Also remarkable as had 1 X mini samosa, 1 X slider (minus the bun), 1/4 sandwich, 1 X disgusting mini sausage roll. Didn't eat any crisps though...... But after the reception we went out for a steak. Pretty impressive gut-load there.....

Laska - I did that too, saw rear end/side angle in a mirror & could no longer hide my shame. That was last Dec & cut back on the booze straight away, shocking sight that was. Agteacht 4lbs in 10 days is totally achievable, you will get there for your anniversary!

Hello Keepon - the 2nd week is easier, you get into. A routine by then. Sort of! I do red wine now, as it's lower in sugar, but a Kiwi Sauv Blanc is my preferred vino of choice, almost salivate at the thought & it's breakfast time........

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2016 08:41

Ooh yes I adore a Marlborough H3l, Aldi have a new one in - not the freemans bay, makaraka I think it's called & its lush (jeez or am I the lush?) There's just something so fresh about those wines.
I ate 2 slices of toast. First bread in 3 weeks, it wasn't great. That's that done at least. It's going to be a long day...

Packing car, off to Bournemouth for the weekend...... All sorts of food temptations, never mind the wines...... I'll need more than luck to escape the next 2 days Scot free........

Have a good one all, stay 'carb-safe'.......

Wink

Ooh blimey!
NOt2B that Kaluha sounds scary stuff!! But well done on the skinnyness!

I def sometimes need that kick from my repulsiveness...

I've started the day with an almond milk coffee today. I think that the milky coffee set me off on the wrong tone yesterday. Came in at about 1200 so not a great day, and stupidly stepped on the scales and I'm up 1lb. It's fine though, I'm in this for the long haul.
I WILL BE SLIMMER

So soup for lunch and cod for supper...

H3l3naGraham · 08/04/2016 09:49

We will all be slimmer moo & more content inside our skins, not just slimmer but in control of our cravings!

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2016 12:23

The Kahlua didn't do the damage tbh, it was the wine😖 I feel rough, but thank god for makeup! I'm faking it pretty ok (well I think I am!)
Going to lie on the couch until I have to collect the kids, not busy today which is a blessing. Starving...sob

Hi Keepon - yes, normal to feel light - headed, odd, discombobulated. Do eat your 800's worth, breakfast is important, doesn't look like you are having enough calories. Can you get to a matchbox sized piece of cheese or 8 almonds? Either of these will help. Also drink hot herb drinks + water, to help flush your system out. With dins tonite, ensure you have some lentils or chickpeas or similar, will give you energy.
Good luck from my poorly Blackberry in a car on a loooong drive to Bournemouth.

keepon - have brekkie, ie youghurt, seeds + berries, then modest lunch, soup and salad perhaps + more realistic dins, have lots of veggies with your dinner. Make it tasty with herbs, use pulses mashed with some olive oil + garlic, good tastes make you feel as if you have eaten properly. Stock or miso soup during the day also helps you feel as if you've had something.

Your salt levels could be low, that might explain it. Might be carb withdrawal or maybe you're just not well. I wouldn't go drinking if you're feeling like this. Home & feet up, something decent to eat. And remember you don't need to stay at 800 that strictly, I count 800-1100 as a successful day and I can't complain about my progress.
I'm having an off plan day and I don't care😁

Just wrote a massive post and deleted it rather than posted.
In summary it said I'm rubbish, but will keep trying!

sandrapanda · 08/04/2016 17:37

Hi, newbie here, spent 2 days last week reading the first thread and now following this thread. You all totally convinced me to start the BSD and I've been on it a week and lost 5 lbs which is brilliant.

I find all your posts so inspirational and they are keeping me going and hopefully stay on track. I don't have much to lose but consider myself skinny fat or a TOFI and following this diet for health benefits. I used to eat far too many carbs, rice being my biggest weakness so hoping to kick the rice habit Smile.

Will go back to lurking but just wanted to let you know each post helps and encourages me more than you'll ever know, so a big thank you to u all Thanks.

Loving all your posts. The kahlua, the wine and all the tips.
I'm not doing so well. Not losing. MFP 800-1100 for the last week atleast, but that's obviously not enough.

And I'm going to London to meet MN'ers for an all day session tomorrow, theatre, steak, wine etc.

Starting to get a bit fed up.

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2016 19:17

Aww Obs don't get low, you've done great & you have different challenges with having diabetes. I think the scales thing threw you into a tailspin. If you're around 10 stone, you're likely not that far to the slimmest you need to be - it can be very hard to drop those last few pound.
Have a great day tomorrow, let the hair down, go off plan and do it with no guilt. Fresh start Monday 😘
Lovely to know these chats are helping to encourage folk, do de-lurk when you need & let us know how you're going.

I'm on day 3 now too. Found it a bit easier today so hoping that continues.
I seem to have lost 4 lbs already - is this normal? Does the loss slow down?
Am imagining that I'll struggle after 2-3 weeks as I usually do when I try low carbing.

Am not missing the carbs at all so far though, so that's a relief.....
Wondering what to try for brekky tomorrow. I've also been trying to do the exercise which has been haaardddd - especially the squats - I'm so unfit!

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2016 21:29

Great loss oola, not unusual I'd say. Weigh loss isn't consistently linear but I reckon if you can go the 8 weeks with 70% at 800-1100 cals & the other 30% around 1600-1800, I reckon you'll see great results. I think that makes it very doable but I'm no expert. Patience is required & an open mind, but personally I think it's great. I don't talk to other people about it as I've been trying to lose weight for so long, I couldn't bear to fail again. And have people give out to me about starving myself for no reason. If I'd had a gastric band no one would blink at me only having 800 cals. Funny isn't it? Getting most of your stomach lopped off is ok but restricting cals & not eating bread is seen as mental 😏
If you don't have an awful lot to lose, I'd say 4 weeks would do. I had around 33 pounds to lose & 6'ish weeks in, I've now 18 or so to go. I'd like to be able to lose another 3 in the next 2 weeks, then I'll start to reduce the number of 800 cal days, should get me to goal by my hols in July. That's the plan dream any easy

A really Yummy dinner served on mixed salad leaves You must try it,..... Warning.... frying in coconut flour and coconut oil means you have to have your cooker filter on and the window open !!

Laska5772 · 08/04/2016 21:44

I also added chopped chilli peppers adding to the smoke probably but it was so Yum... DH raved about it .. ( he had ciabatta with his..skinny wretch that he is )

H3l3naGraham · 08/04/2016 23:43

Hello sandra am sitting here after stuffing my fat face with all sorts of bad things today & want to welcome you on board!

Have possibly exceeded my carb intake by 300% but am hoping an early, stiff walk, followed by crazy golf (don't ask) might help me to get to a couple of hundred steps, if not the much needed 10,000 ......by the end of the week...

Am so full of bad food, I feel like like a big Cornish pasty....WineWineWineWineBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewHmmHmmHmmHmmHmm
