I know that I struggle with exercise...I've ordered the DVD and am going to take some measurements and check in here!!!

FD yesterday and had a sneak peek this morning and I'm up 2lbs!!!

Did other shredders notice a gain when they started?? I've gone from no exercise to shredding everyday. Help!!!

I've seen on the other thread people say your muscles hold water when you start working them, so it's not real gain iyswim. No idea if that's true but sounds good Grin.

Can't help feel a little deflated, but my clothes are feeling a bit looser!

My weight can go up by 3lbs on a day and back down. Hormones are weird.
It is indeed the looseness of your waistbands, the way your tops hang over a flattening stomach, noticing your hipbones when you lie down, even your rings feeling looser that tells the real story.

Yes, I think looking at a weight trend rather than one day or week at a time is the best.

Managed a fast day shred and I'm feeling good, hunger no worse than normal. Weights bits felt a bit harder today at first but cardio felt great. That's my fourth time, I'm starting to feel like I will be ready for level 2 when it comes.

In going to try and hold off until dinner today to eat, making veg curry so looking forward to it.

Literally just kicked myself on the ass!!!

L1D5 done!!! NFD today and not good on the eating front. Mcflurry and fairy cake sneaked in somehow. But my appetite has amped up since doing shred. FD tomorrow.

How is everyone else doing?

L2D6 done here on my FD. Can't say I'm finding it much easier, I'm almost looking forward to L3 Shock

Yes to weight gain doing shred. That's partly why I've started and gave up twice before. Now, I'm being more patient and going more by the way my clothes feel rather than the dial on my scales.

This is the end of my 3rd week of this woe and I've lost 5lbs so far combining it with shred 6 days a week and C25K 3 days a week. It doesn't feel like much of a loss compared to the effort I have put in, but, slow and steady is my new mantra! Grin

That's an awesome loss well done hairy I would be happy with that!!!

I'm having a rest day today. Let my achy muscles rest. I suspect that's why a lot of people quit the shred early on. As it is exhausting, especially if your a lazy bum like me!!!

I will be back on it tomorrow afternoon. And I feel quite positive about than rather than feeling like its a chore!!! On a plus DH noticed a lot of definition in my bottom tonight when I was getting ready to head out!!!

I actually love the walking press ups.
I totally hate the v/raise sit in imaginary chair move.
Natalie is a right cheat.
Interesting gossip: Nat got sacked from follow up shred DVDs as discovered to have got naked in saucy films!

L1 D6 done!!

I'm glad I had a rest day yesterday I felt so strong today and could do sooooo much more, I think that's why some people quit early.

I've done my stats too! See the progress in a couple of weeks.

I wasn't feeling it tonight but came on here and got motivated!!! These boards are great. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

L2D8 done, too tired to really do it justice, I was so very close to not bothering at all Grin

Starting to get fed up with this level, only 2 more days before L3. Is it much harder?

L1D5 done, half way there. Starting to feel stronger, even managed the lateral arm raises without screaming Grin. Fast day tomorrow, will try to shred in the evening but see how I go, ds2 is still recovering from chicken pox and teething so it could be a long day!

NSV ran into woman I last saw at toddler group; she was amazed at my weightloss and changed shape and wanted to know all about 5:2 and shred!

Didn't shred today, did fundraising yoga class on beach which was fab and swam 50 lengths instead.

Lovely NSV trucks enjoy that!!!!

I didn't shred yesterday as toddler all day, no way she would sit through. But I did a day of vigorous housework which I suspect burned some cals.

FD today, due on this week urgggghh!! Haven't weighed either as didn't want to get too dispondent with shred gain. But seriously need another stone to go now. I don't think I'm going to hit my August target but I do feel very toned so hopefully looking like my target ha ha!!!

Today was the first day of shred since last Wednesday. L3, nearly killed me off. Normally I feel so energised and positive after it but today I just felt worn out and grumpy, even after the shred. I did not go to bed till after 12 last night, just faffing around and woken up by DS at 6 this morning. Ugh. Early to bed tonight for sure.

I liked some of the moves in L2 (like the walking push-ups) but I got a bit bored with it as a level. Hairy. Have you started L3 yet? It's much more fun than L2, very strong moves too. The only one I don't like and can't do at all, is the traditional sit-up.

Well done everyone on keep on shredding/exercising. Smile

I just killed myself on L1 it's only D7....

I thought I was meant to be getting stronger!! Today was sooooo hard. Maybe cos its a fast day? It's been a ridiculously long weekend....where's that dark corner for sobbing????

Aw, monster.

Could it be because not only are you fasting but also because you are due on or on? That's why I did not shred since last Wednesday because I was on and I knew that my body could not take it.

Managed L1D6 on a fast day. The arm raises are getting easier but the push ups certainly aren't! Also struggled with the push-ups. Oh well, I didn't get to do it until 8.30pm so was pretty knackered.

Need a nice cup of camomile tea now!

Well done to everyone else who's keeping going.

Didn't do it today so that's two days missed. But in my defence we had to be out the house all day whilst the quarterly cockroach spray people insecticided the place. This is a major ball ache and involved emptying all cupboards so quite an early morning work out! Then we went to beach and I swam in the sea for about 1500 metres against a current.

(We live in tropics hence roaches and swim able beaches! And we are on holiday - staying at home with DH off work so no proper fasting this week and drinking in week. Back to normal next m

...Monday.

Small victory; DH and Ds had battered mahi-mahi fish fries at beach and I didn't want them! Just grilled chicken and green salad! Woot!

Good luck shredders and fasters for tomorrow - will be joining you shredding and 16:8 - ing.

Right today I have totally bailed on shred!! I am exhausted and giving things a rest.

Having a nice NFD dinner and relaxing back to it tomorrow!!!
