In a mini huff with myself after not losing any weight, again! Might leave shred til after dinner, not sure I have much motivation right now.

Bah Angry

monster54 · 30/07/2013 10:02

Hey ladies, feeling super energetic this morning and definitely not as sore!! I've only done it a couple of times and might be wishful thinking but feeling a little tighter in places. That annoying flabby bit between you arm and your bra starting....seems to have flattened!!!

NFD for me. Trying to hold off till 12. Although not promising, bad morning at work!!!

Hope you feel better soon helles and betsy sleep deprivation is a killer. I'll be back to shred tonight DH away for a couple of nights so I've got whole evenings to myself.

I do worry about the impact 4:3 and now shred is having. I seem to be all focused on me which is a little selfish! Especially in what's already a hectic schedule with jobs and DC!!

Just popping in to let you know I've just completed the full 30 days (10 days on each level - not doing 'natalie' for every move!). I definitely think its worth sticking to. If I can do it, you all can! Smile

Also just realised that yesterday was a FD and I've only had two cups of tea and a lot of water this morning and only just had a rumble to remind me I haven't had breakfast yet!

For the few days left before my hols I'm going to go back to L1/2 but try heavier weights and/or Natalie rather than Anita for some of it.

monster54 · 30/07/2013 10:29

Well done grimma that's good going!!!

Did you measure yourself? What was your inch loss like? Did your weight loss pick up?

Have you noticed a lot of difference??

OP posts:
GrimmaTheNome · 30/07/2013 10:42

No, I didn't measure myself - wish I had now. Lost over half a stone since I started, been wearing shorts with no thigh rub, and DH asked me if I'd got new trousers on Sunday because they used to be tight on my bum but now looked loose... the ultimate test! Grin More to the point I feel fitter and stronger, and am really enjoying that 5:2 means I can eat normally most of the time.

monster54 · 30/07/2013 12:51

Wow!!! Inspirational grimma I hope for such good results!!

I have another 12lbs to lose to my ultimate goal....but only 5lbs to my mini goal.

The last 7lbs after that can come off in their own time.

I have some special plans coming up on the 25th August and I would like to be banished of the 5lbs by then but I have been typically only losing 1lb a week on 4:3 alone.

Hoping that doing the shred will help speed things along!!

Whether you lose more weight or not, you'll have more muscle and less fat so you should be slimmer - which is usually more to the point.

Good luck!

monster54 · 30/07/2013 16:01

Thanks grimma great way to look at things really....

I know I am going to try my best for that date!

Fingers crossed, I am going to dig out the tape measure tonight if I can find it and record some stats!

D3 L1 DONE!!!

Picked up some weights but had to put them down at times!!!

OP posts:
GrimmaTheNome · 30/07/2013 22:11

Picked up some weights but had to put them down at times!!!
that's ok. You'll find you can gradually keep going with them for longer. So long as you're pushing yourself to do what you can (without injury) you'll get stronger.

HairyPotter · 30/07/2013 22:43

L2D5 done. Hard work and I really couldn't be bothered. But I keep reminding myself its only 20 mins nearer 30 with warm up and cool down

Still, that's another day ticked off.

monster54 · 30/07/2013 22:59

Good going hp was there yesterday but felt pretty good tonight. Yes grimma I pushed hard with the weights but thought it was best to carry on without than stop all together!

I feel like I'm going to ache tomorrow. Did my extra stretches so should be ok!!!

Is it my wishful thinking but my legs defo feel tighter and my tum??

OP posts:
wrigglebum · 31/07/2013 07:54

Can I join? I've started the shred but not doing it every day, if I start of too keen I'm more likely to give it up than if I do it a more sustainable amount. Did it Sunday evening and then yesterday morning, going to do it tomorrow maybe, but definitely on Thursday (FD). Started with 1kg weights and found that ok for everything but the side lunges with arm raises (ouch), so went up to 2kg for everything but that.

Don't think there's any chance I'll be able to do proper press ups- even when I've done lots of exercise I've never done more than two! I'm also rather rubbish at the ab work- I'd like to blame the csection but that was 15 months ago Smile.

I'm really enjoying it, hurts but I feel great after like I could go straight out for a run or something. 20 minute is really achievable, less time than it would take to get to the gym and back and I can work out in old clothes and not care- I do make sure I wear my shock absorber bra and proper trainers though.

BetsyBell · 31/07/2013 09:01

L1 D5 done! That'll be it now from me for a bit as I'm off on holiday tomorrow (YAY)

wrigglebum I'm the same - can't do daily as not sustainable, and anything done everyday gets boring!

monster Was it the side lunge and arm lift combo that you had to put the weights down in? That one makes me grimace and there would be swearing too if the DCs weren't joining in/watching!

monster54 · 31/07/2013 10:37

Yes wrigglebum the same thing appeals to me. I do it in my underwear and trainers! No extra washing 30 mins done and then in the shower. It is the only thing I feel I can stick to right now.

And I'm actually noticing little differences! I hoping to see a good budge on the scales this week.

I agree I plan on doing mon-fri not everyday, I want to stick with it rather than lose motivation so I will give myself the weekend to rest.

Yes betsy it is this bugger !!! Arrgghhh it's so hard! Plus I'm always trying to concentrate to get my bum out and the lunge right ha ha!!

Hope you have a wonderful holiday and looking forward to you joining back in with us when your back!

monster54 · 31/07/2013 10:39

wrigglebum I had a section too?

Have you found your scar/tum any discomfort in losing weight/exercising? Mine was 18 months ago!!

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 31/07/2013 16:41

I have lost track of how many times I've done level1 but really went for it today :) and treated the cardio as 2 min all out sprints. I never thought I could shred on no breakfast but its been a revelation - it's actually easier!

I gulp a tablespoon of coconut oil before I shred and it kills any hunger.

Well d

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 31/07/2013 16:42

Well done all especially Hp.

GrimmaTheNome · 31/07/2013 18:13

I never thought I could shred on no breakfast but its been a revelation - it's actually easier!

yes - I always have much preferred exercising on an empty stomach.

anyway, I started my second round today. And here's some motivation... I've not worn jeans for over a month because of the heat, just put them on and ... hey! Where's my muffin top? Grin

monster54 · 31/07/2013 19:55

Awesome NSV grimma loving all this positive energy!!!

FD for me and I've done D4L1 and felt good. Actually enjoying it. Just had my FD dinner, going to have a coffe decaf and put my feet up.

Feeling an underlying soreness all over I suppose that's a sign its working!!!

OP posts:
monster54 · 31/07/2013 19:57

I've ordered 2 pairs of 12 trousers with confidence today!!! Just hope they fit as my 14's slip on and off without undoing!!!

OP posts:
wrigglebum · 31/07/2013 21:03

Well, decided to do it today too and glad I did but I am so sweaty now! NFD but hadn't eaten since 1pm lunch- never would've dared exercise on an empty stomach before but it was fine. Nice paella waiting for dinner in a mo.

monster- don't think the CS has made too much difference, my abs were rubbish before. I've been really careful to do loads of Pilates style holding my stomach in to strengthen my core and it seems to have helped a lot. I'm actually starting to get feeling back just above my scar now, not sure if it's the increased blood flow from exercising? And congrats on the size 12s!

For some reason I find the first cardio section a killer but I'm able to go all out on the last one, I was out Natalie-ing Natalie Grin. Loving it though- it's like Jillian is in your head as just when you think you're going to die it changes.

Since I'm not planning to do it every day would it be a good idea to do L1 more than 10 times or should it be ok to move on after 10 goes? I'm dreading L2, sounds hard!

TrucksAndDinosaurs · 31/07/2013 21:26

I'm working on: do level 1 til it's easy, then go up. If that takes 2-3 weeks well hey. I figure less chance of injury, better form, more strength will see me in good stead. It's not a race. It's about getting stronger, walking more gracefully, feeling in tune with my body, getting confident again.

Well done on size 12 victory monster55!

monster54 · 31/07/2013 21:30

Thanks guys!!! Lets hope they fit!

I'm of the same school, I'm sticking with level 1 until I feel comfortable. I am doing it 5 times a week so I will do around 2 weeks on each level.

Very tired tonight and getting very sore!!!
