Patiently waiting on my email from London marathon to see if I've got a ballot entry.. anyone else?

Double the chance this year although I'm not holding out much hope..

No for me as well, sort of relieved...

Shittyyear2025 · 09/07/2026 12:25

No email for me yet...

CoffeeandChocolateplease · 09/07/2026 12:26

Same here - I paid for the double your chances thing as well, so I suppose I had 4 chances in total but still a no - must be about my 15th rejection?

I was surprised how upset I was! I think I had convinced myself it was my year. Never mind, I will await my consolation hydration vest.

LlynTegid · 09/07/2026 12:27

Good luck to those who are given a place, and if MN rules permit, let us know who you are raising money for.

holachicatita · 09/07/2026 13:01

I've mixed feelings, glad I don't have to train for a marathon but my husband ran it a few years ago and it was amazing to be there watching. Would love to run it some day.

Had my email - it was a no. Mixed feelings really. I did London a few years ago for charity and I’d like
to do it again, but also quite keen to try other places - the marathon mini break to Rome or Copenhagen has more appeal than the day trip to London!

DuckWithOneWing · 09/07/2026 15:03

I got a Saturday place!

Still waiting for my inevitable no.

ohyesido · 09/07/2026 15:16

No for me, I’m relieved

bebefin · 09/07/2026 15:17

No via email and text! 🤣

Windflower92 · 09/07/2026 15:52

I got a yes! For the Sunday!

MJagain · 09/07/2026 15:59

No for me 😞

chimppyjamas · 09/07/2026 16:02

No for me (thank goodness). DH got a place - he has entered the ballot twice and got a place both times! Wish he’d win the lottery instead

sightingday · 09/07/2026 16:23

No for me…….. again

Fraudornot · 09/07/2026 16:25

Still waiting

CheeseyNacho · 09/07/2026 16:26

I know five people all of which have got Saturday places.

Sadly, one of those five are not me.

Whataninterestinglookingpotato · 09/07/2026 17:07

It was a no for me. I have a time I can use to apply for a good for age place though so I’m not too fussed. It’s 18 mins under last years cut off so I’m quietly confident it’ll be good enough.

IHadaMarvelousTimeRuiningEverything · 09/07/2026 21:40

Another no and I also paid to double my chance. Really gutted and have spent the evening applying for charity places. I've reluctantly resigned myself to the fact that this is the only way ill ever get to do it.

Show off!!! Only joking, well done you, that's how my hubby got in a few years ago, he was very fast. Me however, I'm a snail, so would have to be a ballot place for me..

I got a “no” - never run it before but bucket list thing.
Work colleague got a “yes”. She’s run it before, part of a club, runs other long races….

Surelyitscoffeetimenow · 09/07/2026 21:58

A yes here - Sunday! Made the application when I was feeling inspired watching it on TV. My sister, who has run a few half marathons, encouraged me as she was doing it. She was laughing saying probably won't get in anyway, not to mention she's due a baby in September and probably wouldn't make it anyway. Well, of course I got a place and will need to do it now in case I never get another chance. Plus, I'm 40 the year after and it would be nice to do it before that big milestone. Kind of in disbelief. I've got a half marathon in October (which I've not told anyone about) so that might be a good starting point for training! Kind of buzzing but haven't brought myself to pay just yet in case I chicken out.

Shouldigoforit11 · 09/07/2026 22:21

I got a ballot place but now thinking wtf and how can I do this. Turn 40 next year - going through a very painful divorce with youngish children to support. Should I admit defeat?

Absolutely do NOT admit defeat and make it work! Use your child free time (hopefully you have some now you're divorcing?) to train! You will be so proud go yourself!
