Gym leggings - why so hard

MistyTrains2 · 03/11/2023 21:22

I'm trying to find gym leggings.

I have bigger thighs and a small waist, so generally a Small is way too skin tight, but a Medium gapes a little at the waist. Plain shiny material tends to show cellulite through it no matter how thick.

Alphalete - good but thigh friction has caused a tear.

Gym Shark and Fabletics shiny ones - show cellulite.

Need to be squat proof.

Any ideas?

I like matalan leggings

Sweaty Betty are great, and generous sizing. I'm a 12 and I fit into the medium. They are sculpting and comfortable and hold all the wobble in. Plenty for cheap on vinted.

hellohellothere · 03/11/2023 21:24

You would likely need small in sweaty Betty.

FLOWER1982 · 03/11/2023 21:24

Decathlon

gerji98 · 03/11/2023 21:24

sweaty betty! I have small waist and big thighs/bum and they fit great in a small,
no gaping at all which is usually a massive issue for me!

the super sculpt are fab - can usually get some on vinted for £10-£15 ish

Gnomegnomegnome · 03/11/2023 21:25

I like MYPROTEIN and h and m.

DinoDunks · 03/11/2023 21:26

Nike.

I am the same with a small waist.

shakeitoffsis · 03/11/2023 21:29

I like h and m sports tights. They have loads of designs and are squat proof

Namechangenamechanged · 03/11/2023 21:30

I love gymshark adapt seamless animal print leggings. I can’t see how they’d show cellulite, they’re quite thick and sort of patterned so they don’t show anything. They fit like a glove everywhere.

Roserunner · 03/11/2023 21:40

I swear by tikiboo. My size has gone between a large 12 and up to 16 and the same leggings still fit nicely and are very flattering as well as squat proof.

Foxblue · 03/11/2023 21:40

Aybl! They are about to have a black Friday sale on 6th of November - the Core and Balance leggings are great

Gymmum82 · 03/11/2023 21:44

Sweaty Betty are not squat proof.
I like gymshark and ryderwear but I tend to stay away from the shiny ones

Nike.

I am the same with a small waist.

Nike for me too. They are great.

I also like Sweaty Betty & Lululemon but too pricey & fit for Lululemon can be a bit hit & miss

Decathlon

Have never seen anything (gymwear-wise) but cheap tat in Decathlon (maybe it's just the one near me).

Sidebeforeself · 03/11/2023 21:46

Lululemon. Not cheap but will fit perfectly and last for ages

cfmtb · 03/11/2023 21:49

Myprotein but also Sculpt!! They're amazing

Fifireee · 03/11/2023 21:51

Dunnes do excellent cheap sportswear.

mum11970 · 03/11/2023 21:52

Scarydinosaurs · 03/11/2023 21:55

Queenike- I buy from Amazon. They’re my favourite ones. Comfy, squat proof, pockets.

onlyfoolsanddonkeys · 03/11/2023 22:01

Nike for me too. Good quality and I like the understated design

CopperLion · 03/11/2023 22:04

I’m the same shape and love Sweaty Betty leggings. They are pricey but fit well and last forever. Most have an internal drawstring as well so you can adjust the waist, but I find them a good cut for an hourglass shape anyway.

allhellcantstopusnow · 03/11/2023 23:12

Also, try giving less of a shit about the texture of your thighs.

MistyTrains2 · 04/11/2023 20:28

@allhellcantstopusnow mmm I agree but for £60 I want better features.
