Where can I buy workout clothes if I’m too mean to pay £50 for gym leggings?

I need a high street store so I can try them off. I have previously bought stuff on Vinted that doesn’t fit well.

Just went on Decathlon and yes, the price of leggings seems to have trebled in three or four years. My last ones were definitely £9.99- £14.99 in 2019/20 and are still going strong, and they don't seem to make that kind any more. I have fleecy/fuzzy lined ones for winter and slightly thinner ones for summer.

I think of you are doing serious, regular exercise - HIIT, weights - and working hard, cheap gear doesn't cut it.

It's see-through, non-wicking & isn't comfortable.

I wore Primark too for years, but now I wear mostly Nike, some Under Armour. I'd love Sweaty Betty but even sale prices are too high for me. The Lululemon stuff I tried never suited me - so I suppose it's very individual.

On a cost-per-wear basis my Nike gear holds up really well.

I do yoga, weights, cardio, callisthenics, running and the cheap stuff I mentioned (TU, Amazon (selectively), Decathlon, Sports Direct) holds up really well. Though it isn't as cheap as it used to be.

I'm a big fan of the amazon crz brand.

Yes and also when trying on make sure you try squatting so you know the the fabric a) feels strong and b) check they don't show the world your pants through Grin

I wear any old crap in the gym. Cheap tracksuit bottoms and teashirt. Its only going in the wash afterwards.

I have ASDA blackout leggings - I have 3 pairs, which are 3 years old, don't fall down, and still look new. They have a sheen

All my stuff comes from sports direct
I wear football shorts from there and T-shirts from primark. They wash and dry quick
all my sports bras are from sorts direct

completely agree the prices are much higher than even a year ago

Get the fabletics 2 for £24 then remember to cancel. The sizing is pretty accurate. Mine are so comfy and have really lasted

louderthan · 13/08/2023 21:31

TK Maxx, Decathlon, Primark, Tesco, Sainsburys, Sports Direct

Snowpaw · 13/08/2023 21:33

I know you don't want high street, but I absolutely recommend the leggings from LOVALL https://lovall.com/collections/sports-leggings

Really good quality, opaque fabric, comfortable and wash well. I've had about 4 pairs from there.
