Day 28 back and biceps done, this one felt very slow and steady but the bicep curls were tough. I strangely enjoyed the abs section, my 2 abs add-ons last week must have helped. I think I might jump to day 30 for my active rest day tomorrow as I can’t get to netball training.

Bulgarian lunge day hell in the bag. I would never ever have imagined I could have done 40 mins of bulgarian lunges. I started with shoes but ditched them a third of the way through.
used 9kg.
My legs hurt- off to to see if Tim the nice yoga man has stretches for pulverised legs.

Well I’m just a big sweaty mess after day 30 cardio for my active rest day but very happy to get the 100 burpee finisher done and dusted. Well technically it was 50 burpees and 50 sprawls as I thought my heart would give out and I had 5 mins to fit them in before dinner. Long day at work tomorrow so I might give myself a rest rest day as it’s been 6 active days in a row 😀

I just wanted to say thanks for the encouragement several gave to me last week. After reflecting I decided to move onto Epic Heat. I had done 4X beginner except for the HIIT (I have to be careful about that due to joint issues) but I'm seeing my physio this wk for some advice on substitution.

HEAT is going really well my weights are truly pathetic (2.5 or 5kg) but I'm hoping to just keep upping those in due course.

Given my poor physical condition, my age and my hypermobility (which has given me 8 years of chronic pain after pregnancies) I can't believe how I am managing to improve my resilience and I hope I can keep moving forward. I am a bit worried about overdoing/injury but my physio should help advise me this week.

I love reading your comments, so much further on than myself but it's very encouraging and something to aim for. Keep going!!!

@Lelivre, I wouldn’t say 2.5/5kg was pathetic, I use similar and still most workouts are challenging. My husband has started Joe Wicks and I keep trying to get him to do CG with me but he’s says they’re too tough!
@BigButtons, well done on Bulgarian lunges day, not looking forward to that one!

@Lelivre well done. We all started somewhere. The important thing is that you have started!
These last 2 weeks of endgame have really surprised me. They are nasty and tough BUT I could do them and with much heavier weights. I have found that I am so much stronger than I thought I was both , both physically and mentally- you need both to keep pushing through the acid burn and fatigue.
When I first started last summer I was using light weights and I found it tough. Heat is tough but I love the cardio aspect. You are doing a sensible thing by keeping the weights low. You will know when you feel ready to up them. Keep going!

Push up day for me today. I am as scared as hell. These are my absolute nemesis. I will do it though even if I can only get one crappy rep in a set.( or my right shoulder gives out).

EPIC EPIC fail for me today. Got to 40% and threw the towel in. Did the ab section.
I am simply not strong enough to do 40 mins of push ups- who the fuck is apart from CG?
Pointless.
So I chose a day from epic three never done anything from that before. Back and biceps. She was using 20kg for the rows😂😂😂
8kg for the biceps. I managed 12.5 kg and 6/5 kg. At least I felt like I had actually achieved something 🧐🧐🧐🧐

@BigButtons I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone enjoy push-ups gate on the forums, seems like she’s determined to make the last week super tough.
I’ve done day 29 full body today and felt my arms especially got a good workout. I usually try upto 50% of CGs weights but as she picked 9kg for this one I gave it a go starting with 5kg and managed to stick with it. Not sure I can see myself progressing much beyond 5kg but I also thought that at 3kg 🤷‍♀️

Just did that Rebecca Louise abs workout flowerarranger. The exercises are good but, my goodness, she doesn't stop talking .... very annoying.

Now onto endgame day 34 - pyramid full

Day 49 in the bag. Full body Friday. Really loved this one. What a sweaty session. I even managed the same weights as CG for most of it. That's a real achievement for me. Had to drop to 7kg for the shoulder work and the finisher ( which had me grunting like a pig)

After doing them a couple of times, turn down the sound. I do this with all my workouts. Much prefer to listen to Radio 3 or 4 Smile

Oof Fridays are always tough. I’m on Epic 1 and I hate when you repeat the same exercise every 3rd or fourth exercise. Love it when I finish though!!
Now, I’ve worked out that when I’ve finished Epic 1, I will have time to do another one before my summer holiday. So what would you guys do next? Epic 2 or Endgame or other?

@disappointed101 why don’t you try heat? I loved it. It is tough and punchy, fast paced and only 30 mins a session.😃
I have really enjoyed endgame and it has enabled me to really up my weights and improve my strength and resilience, it is pretty tough though, especially the last couple of weeks.
One more session to go for me.

@BigButtons hope you recover quickly. I’ve just completed day 31 legs, surprisingly enjoyed the repetitive format. I was tempted to do day 50 as it’s the last day but decided to keep to my schedule. I’m on holiday at Easter so I feel motivated to try and complete endgame by Good Friday.

Sorry to hear you've got covid bigbuttons. Hope you get over it quickly and the symptoms aren't too bad. So annoying you didn't manage to finish endgame either...

Did day 35 today. Tabata HIIT. The workout was ok (some parts very tough) but for the first time I didn't finish the finisher. It was 50 planks to crouch and then 50 planks to tuck. I did about 15 of the plank to crouch and it was just taking so long and I couldn't face doing another 75.... was just bored. Lost all motivation. So stopped and did a lilly sabri abs workout instead.

Bloody covid. I work in education and have been working through all lockdowns- nada- and then now. So frustrating. So I have an early de-load week. I will finish day 50 when I am better. I had so wanted to do it ‘ live’ so to speak.
I am able to sit up if I take the pain killers regularly. I am hoping I don’t take a turn for the worse after a few days of improvement as many of my work colleagues have done. Pretty much consigned to the bed and sofa though.
Well done on all your efforts though😃

@Forgotmypasswordsgain it’s funny with the weights. I was stuck on 5 kg for my shoulders/ arms for months and months. Suddenly I can go to 7kg for some of it and have to drop again. My upper body is much slower to respond than my lower body.
I had real shoulder issues recently and used a high strength gel painkiller for a few days. To my amazement that did the trick and I am no longer in any pain.

Somebody tell me which CG series I should do next! I just finished the short Kickass Kettlebells series. I use her as a second weights session a week alongside one with my PT and running. In case it matters, I generally use my 12kg kettlebell when CG was on 16 and my 7.5kg dumbbell when she uses her 10 so far... Grin
