I'm also not loving it this time. I have to substitute all of the lunges and squats which meant that I was mostly doing RDLs today and the finisher.

Will try and do the add-on and an ab workout later.

Having said that, I did a yoga class today and found I had improved on some of the poses - can see improvement in my core and glutes. But that could just be from yoga rather than Caroline. Let's see.

This looks like an 'easier' version of epic 1 day 7- we will see. I figure if I can just about get through that one can get through anything! ( fools self).

Ha- I enjoyed that. Very do-able all round.

I will do that add on today I think.

I think what is really helping my leg stamina is doing her wall sits once a week. That has made such a difference (and of course epic 1 day 7- not once a week thoughShock).

Today I did one round of a burpee squat ladder as a warm up. That was really hard but it warmed me up properly. I am going to try and do that everyday before I exercise. I really need to build my cardio stamina too and get rid of my hatred of burpees.

I also managed day 7 and no it wasn’t too bad. Except maybe for the dead stop lunges. But even then. Finished the finisher ages before her, but I did cheat a bit and brought my heels a lot nearer to my glutes.

I won’t do the add on as it’s late. Yesterday’s chest and triceps went by the wayside but I’ll do that on Thursday when I’m wfh.

Which one is the 15 min wall sit @BigButtons?

Day 8 done. I enjoyed it. Good to have some abs stuff with the arms I think although I was completely uncoordinated on the first set of ab tucks.

I need to do day 7 later this afternoon but my new shiny 5kg weights are turning up this morning. Wondering whether to start with the 5kg and switch down if it gets too much or definitely for the finisher.

Well they tried to deliver my weights 200 miles away to my old address so that solves my conundrum of whether to increase 😂😂

Just done day 8? Back and biceps. I got a bit bored of all the renegade rows. Finisher was tough.
Since doing this burpee/ squat ladder as a warm up each day I can really feel my lower abs have had a work out. I am trying to do the burpees properly rather than throwing myself recklessly to the floor as if I have just been shot in the back😂

@BigButtons thankfully they weren’t delivered so I could get a refund and reordered for tomorrow. Just a pair of neoprene 5kg weights from Argos as they have a sale on, I got the same 3kg ones and they’ve worked well.
I plan to do day 8 tomorrow and then possibly day 9 on Friday if I feel ok as I have netball Saturday.

What is a burpee squat ladder?
Did day 4 yesterday - full body circuit - not too bad, although my right knee makes awful sounds when I do the lunges. I also did the loathed Bulgarians without a weight! And completed the sumo 100 well in time.

@fishonabicycle it’s basically doing this: 10x burpees:1 squat 9x burpees:2 squats etc until you get to 1x burpee: 10squats.

Day 8 done. Got better at the dreaded (for me anyway) renegades as the routine went on. Had to modify most of the abs ones as my back was coming off the floor otherwise.

I did the ridiculous deadbug add on as my workout today plus LWR's thigh and glute workout.

Feel exhausted today, but need to do some cardio later I think. (as it's active rest day?).

Just finished day 8 and did the extra add-on mainly as I was curious of what a dead bug was? My 5kg weights arrived so I used them for the back exercises when CG used 15kg but dropped back to 3kg for the renegade rows and biceps. I didn’t mind renegades on epic 1 but finding them harder lately, concentrating a lot more on my core so really feeling it through the body. I think I will take my rest day tomorrow and see if I can manage the full body on Sat.

Day 8 done here too. Plus a quick dash on my bike to pick up my Vinted purchases, with which I’m extremely pleased Smile, so I think I’ve been fairly active 🤣🤣🤣

I didn’t find it at all taxing, I think it might be time to up the weights from 8 to 10kg on the legs and back stuff. I will do day 7 on Saturday in order to balance after which I will increase the weights. I could be changing up or down on the adjustable weights but I’m far too lazy, once it’s in there it stays in there…

I must say I tried the wall sit thingy yesterday before going to bed and I found it strangely enjoyable. I think I might repeat it, it’s also something that can be done while answering emails or in a conference call (camera off obviously!), so it could be handy for those office days when I know I’ll be back too late.

Day 9- I should have enjoyed it but I didn’t- head wasn’t in the right place. It irritates me. I started off with too heavy a weight- got my adjustable calculations wrong and did the first 1/4 with 9kg weights🤔. Dropped to 7 and that was better. I could even do the hammers and presses so that was encouraging.
The abs annoyed me as did the staple.
I have yet another bloody cold 🤧🤧🤧

I thought it was ok - quite enjoyed it and don't mind her abs.

I want to find a leg workout that doesn't have squats and lunges in it but works quads and hamstrings as well as glutes. Have you seen any @BigButtons :(or anyone else)? I am booking a skiing holiday and would love to ski but don't think I will be able to unless I build up my glutes to protect my knees. I looked at the wall sitting workout and maybe could do the wall sitting bits of that workout?!
