Might as well start a new thread. All welcome regardless of your goals, just keep moving. Everything counts towards your totals. It's amazing what you can accomplish in a year, how far you can go and all the things you see en route.

Up to some reservoirs in a moorland area we've not been to for ages - last time we tried it was towards the end of last spring's drought - the car park was full of fire engines because some idiot had had a bbq when everything was tinder-dry.

We went to a NT place today. Nice stroll around the gardens - we were going to do a longer walk round the area but it was too warm so I only logged 1km there (i don't count ambling around gardensGrin). But we had a 4.4km evening walk locally, just got back to streetlights at dusk.

We're away on holiday!ShockGrin staying near the Exmoor area, so lots of lovely walking. Today 10.2 km in the morning - fabulous views from the top of the hill/cliff, then down through woods to the most picture postcard of thatched villages for lunch, back up via an Iron Age fort. Then this afternoon an extra 2.4 km stroll along a beach to some geologically interesting cliffs.

Lovely 18.6 km walk today, from Lynmouth to Brendon through the wooded combes by the east Lyn, back via the other river that joins it at Watersmeet.
I mistallied by a km too much yesterday I've just realised...

I know parts of that area @ErrolTheDragonit’s lovely around Watersmeet and Valley of the rocks, hope you continue to enjoy the September sunshine.

I’m back fighting exhaustion from this cold that just won’t go Sad my DD has had it 4wks now (multiple negative covid test), just a nasty snotty cold. I think I ran on adrenaline and meds all weekend & now body has gone poof again! Desperate to go seaswim as perfect conditions but just feel too tired & washed out.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/09/2021 17:47

That's rotten, Biking - hope you feel better soon but I guess you may need to take it gently.

Another gorgeous day here - Tarr Steps to the pub in Withypool for lunch and then a couple of km further along the Barle. 18.3km

A bit of a change in the weather today, rain forecast over exmoor so we headed to the Quantocks instead. The original plan was a shorter walk but it ended up as 16.6km

11.8 km today - felt like more, because the first part was Porlock Weir to Culbone church which used to be a lovely gently sloping cliff path but because of landslides is a much rougher and steeper track. Then the second part was walking out along the pebble bank to where it was breached about 25 years ago - tough on the ankles! And then a bit round the marsh. It's interesting to see the changes - the pebble bank used to be a smooth arc with green fields behind it, now very different.
