I did Pump 115 this morning. It certainly challenged me in new ways and I’ve upped my weights slightly on squat, back and shoulders so I feel pleased about that. I disliked the Chest track on this one though although my upper is already feeling it a few hours on.

I also did a 30 min step. I am loving a bit of Step at the moment to get my steps in on Fitbit 😂

And this morning I am officially at my lowest weight in over a year (and after an Easter weekend no less) I put it down to LM for sure!! My consistency with it has been Key for me. The variety keeps me doing it every day and it’s been a game changer.

@sociallydistained , love your post, so inspiring!

Just de-lurking to share my joy with BP 115. I did the 30min metabolic workout this morning and it was fab. I love how Glen was getting distracted by the people on the wall of screens. Grin

Based on this thread, I'm going to bravely attempt Body Balance for the first time this week. And BA 100!

Think I'm going to try BP115 this week!

I found BA100 really difficult to follow because the cameras were all over the place but it might be because it was the first one I tried and I wasn't used to the moves at that point. I love Body Balance!

Did the Grot Remix yesterday and I managed to do all 30 burpees in the 30s sections 🥳 albeit a couple of sets without the jump and clap

MozzchopsThirty · 11/04/2021 12:01

I've lost my way a bit this week, have done nothing since Thursday
I wish I was more disciplined

Thursday was only a couple of days ago! I'm sure you won't have lost anything and taking a rest is really important anyway Smile

I really hate the format. Tried so hard to find something I could do but it's just too hard to follow and all the lighting is really depressing. Looks cool in a studio but on screen I want nice colours and brightness.

Horses for courses I suppose. I've found the United ones and the various trainer series to be a bit brighter, and there are a few that are filmed outside as well
MozzchopsThirty · 11/04/2021 15:36

@rosettesforjill thank you, it's just all the crap I stuff in my face when I'm not exercising

nbee84 · 11/04/2021 16:04

I've done pump 115 a couple of times this week - I really like it. I like the chest track and found the lunges doable with my knee.

I have a Les Mills smart bar - bought 2nd hand through their website at the start of lockdown 1. I really needed a couple of extra 5kg plates but they are so expensive. I found some 'like les mills' plates on ebay and though expensive at £75 they were cheaper than the real ones and look exactly the same, just without 'les mills' imprinted on them. I tend to need them when they swap from bar to flys on the chest track and sometimes other tracks need extra plates for squat presses etc And hopefully as my knee improves I'll be back to heavier weights and need them on the squat track too.

nbee84 · 11/04/2021 16:08

£75 for a pair inc delivery - they are £56 each plus £18 for delivery on the Les Mills site.

MyLifeNow20 · 11/04/2021 18:17

Hi. Im trying to get back into it. Love bodypump and combat, not really tried anything else apart from grit and thats hard and dont like it!
Is step good? Might give that a try!

nbee84 · 11/04/2021 18:44

Step is good fun, takes a while to get the moves and I tripped on the step more than once Grin Body attack is high energy. Core is a good one to do too. Lots love the bodybalance but not my thing, probably because I'm not very good at it!

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 11/04/2021 19:04

I would love a Smart bar but they are just so expensive, and I have a perfectly good barbell set so I don't need it! However, I have noticed a few second hand sets coming up on ebay now, I guess with the gyms opening up again, so am wondering if in a few weeks I might be able to bag myself a bargain!

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 11/04/2021 19:05

Step is brilliant - it's both more enjoyable and harder work than you think it's going to be Grin

MyLifeNow20 · 11/04/2021 19:32

I might try step then!
Oh Ive done attack at the gym and liked it and tried at home but the split room thing drives me nuts! Ive done bodybalance a few times and enjoy that.
How do you all stream? I use my laptop with earphones

nbee84 · 11/04/2021 20:00

I cast to my tv in the lounge. On my bike I use an ipad and headphones.

nbee84 · 11/04/2021 20:13

Muggin - I would have been happy with a cheaper barbell set, I've used them in a gym I used to go to and they do the same job. The smart bar is good and the weights are a handy shape to hold in your hand but they are overpriced imo. But when the 1st lockdown started it was so hard to source any sort of bar & weights and I just couldn't get any. I signed up to LMOD and a few days later was browsing round the site and came across a used equipment section - I think it had only just appeared. I uhmed and ahhed over the price (about £250) but decided to order the bar & weights and within 24hrs they were out of stock.

HermioneWeasley · 11/04/2021 20:17

Back at the gym tomorrow so can use their weights

I’ve done BP 115 a couple of times and it’s growing on me.

kittykarate · 12/04/2021 12:51

Barre again for me this morning, followed by 15 minutes of hip openers. I managed to walk 3.7 km yesterday which is a new record, and coincidentally, would get me to the local Wetherspoons and back. Downhill walking is still a bit challenging, even worse if I'm carrying something at below hip height (e.g. handbag).

Who was my dodgy hip flexor twin? Was it @Peachypips78? How are you getting on?

Pebbledashery · 12/04/2021 13:05

Started this week off energised. I did step 101.. I love it.
Does anyone else start sweating profusely a minute into step.. Usually I'm sweating buckets by track 3 in attack or combat but step is like someone has opened a tap 30 seconds in 🤣

Just did BP United in my lunch hour - love it! Like that the moves are so simple but absolutely killer at the same time Grin

Strongly expect to be summoned back to the office from Monday which will make this sort of thing much more difficult but going to try to be a bit more organised with batch cooking so I can get the workouts done in the evening. Not committed up to get up an hour earlier and do it before work!

moiraswigs · 12/04/2021 18:55

I did grit cardio followed by core this morning. I was busted about 2 mins into the grit. The core I enjoyed, mostly, or maybe it was just the chance to lie down a bit!

nbee84 · 12/04/2021 20:45

I did the new combat 85 tonight - the 45min one as I didn't get home from work til 7. I enjoyed it, found it fairly easy to follow.

kittykarate · 13/04/2021 10:57

I can't wait until I can do body combat again! I don't really miss Body Pump but BC and BA I used to enjoy so much.

Another morning, another spin random scroll down the Body Balance list and just doing one. They are getting less painful, which is positive. I also managed to walk for 45 minutes last night (though I did have to sit down on a wall for minute after about 30 minutes to get myself pulled together). I just wish walking would become more natural soon - at the minute it's a constant thought process trying to stand up straighter, activating my glutes and trying to support my hip.
