I did the BA Anthems remix yesterday and it was brilliant, I was so sweaty! I have been doing LM for a few months now but not really don't much in the way of Body Attack so felt like I needed a new challenge.

My knee is twinging ever so slightly today though, I didn't feel any pain doing the workout yesterday, but it is all quite high impact isn't it so I had better be careful with BA!

rosettesforjill · 01/04/2021 15:41

BP 112 today - think it's the favourite Pump I've done so far probably because no dips. I upped the weight for everything so feeling strong and ready for a bit of a chill over the long weekend!

Matilda2013 · 01/04/2021 17:36

Congrats on the job @Pebbledashery!
I had a viral infection last week so hadn't done any exercise since Tuesday after about 10 weeks of 5 30 min classes per week Blush felt so guilty but I've obviously needed a rest.

Seen someone on Facebook doing Sh'bam remix 02 and thought that looked fun. It was! Easing myself back in and got sweaty in the mean time and it includes some favourite old tracks!

Excited to have stumbled across this thread. Love LMOD. Anyone else do The Trip? I am OBSESSED.

Pebbledashery · 02/04/2021 09:36

I wish I had the room for a spin bike 😭

@Pebbledashery

I wish I had the room for a spin bike 😭
I don’t 😂 it’s right in the way. I love it so so much though.

The Trip is brilliant I am probably going to do it this morning. I love RPM and Sprint too, I can feel my cardio fitness improving so much from these classes.

Matilda2013 · 02/04/2021 12:21

I've never tried spin which is probably a good thing at the moment as my work colleagues have purchased peloton bikes and I'd maybe be tempted if I liked it.
Just finished my first combat class in over a week. Back to being a sweaty Betty Grin for a girl that doesn't normally enjoy exercise I did miss it!

Pebbledashery · 02/04/2021 13:56

I just did 55 minute body attack 100 whilst little one was asleep. Track 8 makes me want to cry with euphoria 😂

Was going to do a body combat session this afternoon but my back is absolutely breaking from lugging shopping, spring cleaning and carrying the baby elephant of a 2 year old I have 😭 so on the sofa with my feet up with a cuppa 😁

I walked a mile again today, no hiking poles, and no stopping to ease my hip #smallwins. Off to do a Body Balance once I get off this sofa!

nbee84 · 03/04/2021 18:45

Great progress kitty Smile

I'm enjoying the Peloton classes at the mo, but managed to fit in pump united yesterday and a combat upper body today.

Whoateallthechocolate · 03/04/2021 21:55

Ooohhh... very excited to see this thread as I hadn't realised there was such a thing as LMOD. I used to go to the actual gym in NZ 20yrs ago and loved the classes. Slightly scared at the idea of doing any of them now!
What kit do I need? Can I do Pump with dumbbells rather than a bar? Can I do Step on a low step in the house or would I need to be able to go over/around it? What else do I need to know before I start?

Matilda2013 · 03/04/2021 22:35

@Whoateallthechocolate I believe there is an intro video with pump that shows you alternatives with hand weights rather than a bar. Never done it myself but see it mentioned on the Facebook group.
Combat, attack, balance, Sh'bam (and maybe others) can all be done without equipment.
Core only needs a hand weight and a resistance band at points but again you can go without.

TabbyStar · 04/04/2021 07:39

I do Pump with handweights. Step you'd struggle to do on a step in the house though as there's a lot of going from side to side and sometimes over the top.

I seem to have lost my motivation to do anything LM though. I'm back to swimming this week and doing a lot of walking, I wish I could be in a better routine but life in general is a bit chaotic.

Pebbledashery · 04/04/2021 14:03

Did attack 108 today as I ate like a dustbin yesterday. Has anyone noticed those 2 Japanese guys in every attack workout.. I've noticed them in step and pump too :) they make me smile.

@kittykarate, good to hear of progress.

I've not done much LMOD recently as been more focussed on outdoor stuff and some Pilates with dh. But that's OK I think - mix it up a bit!

Skatingpark97 · 06/04/2021 14:08

BP115 done. More old style than 113/114, more like United. You can add on the weight.

kittykarate · 06/04/2021 15:18

45 minutes of Body Balance this morning, followed by lunchtime riding lesson. Had some struggles getting on the horse though, could't get my foot high enough to get on him from the low block, and he was dancing around when I was getting on him from the high block and I just didn't feel safe.

Mugginyouleftrightandcentre · 06/04/2021 16:10

Looking forward to trying BP 115 in the next few days!

supercee · 06/04/2021 16:22

Hi all, room for another?

My barbell set finally arrived so hoping to begin the free trial and start Body Pump tomorrow. Fed up of feeling sluggish and have put on over a stone (probably more like 2 now 🙄) in lockdown.

Do I need a step of some sort like the classes? I live in a flat so Combat and Attack might be out for now so I don't annoy my neighbours but interested to see if there are other strength classes.

Throwawayname1994 · 06/04/2021 16:25

Hello! 👋 long time mumsnet reader but have never actually posted haha! I’m a Les Mills instructor in 6 programmes (combat pump shbam grit balance and attack) so stumbling on a thread like this has made my day! If I can help in any way with any questions let me know :)

Skatingpark97 · 06/04/2021 18:06

@supercee , yes you need a step but it can be shorter / cheaper than the steps provided in a gym or shown in the LMO videos.
I really love LMO and feel I have got to know the instructors especially Glen. You can mix the versions up so BP 115 came out today but you can go back and find your favourites from the past plus there is a version called United showing instructors from around the world filmed at home.

supercee · 06/04/2021 18:30

Thanks @Skatingpark97 I guess if I'm going to commit to this then I need to do it properly. Have you got one you can recommend? The cheaper ones on Amazon haven't got the best reviews re BP but I wasn't planning on spending £70 for a Reebok one.

TabbyStar · 06/04/2021 19:37

I got a second hand Reebok step for about £45 I think from eBay (I've said this a few times each time it comes up so apologies to anyone who reads the whole thread!) - I'm glad I did get a full sized one, though I do actually do BodyStep rather than just use it for pump.

Skatingpark97 · 06/04/2021 19:42

@supercee , I got 1 @ £45 too, it's not quite as long as the gym ones but good for BP and doesn't take up as much room at home.
