DS was in our bed at 6:15am this morning so I popped downstairs for a 30 min BA 104 - feeling v smug now! I've also treated myself to some Reebok HIIT trainers in their sale in the hope that they will turn me into Erin in Grot Grin

Combat 79 and pump 108 this morning. I really love the combo days on game changer (except when it's grit 😂)

moiraswigs · 28/04/2021 12:00

Oooh @rosettesforjill love the trainers!

zobalina77 · 29/04/2021 09:06

Bc79 this morning. As soon as the cool down finished I burst into tears, no idea what that was about 😂 I used to dance many moons ago but combat makes me feel so uncoordinated.

I'd really like to give bp a try but can't get a barbell anywhere. Don't want to spend a huge amount on one as I'm going to be a student nurse in September so trying to save money. Can I do bp with just dumbbells as I have a couple of them?

kittykarate · 29/04/2021 09:17

Burst into frustrated tears or tears of release? I think sometimes if you're really working hard at a workout sometimes some emotion that you've been holding back can sneak out at the end (e.g. hassle at work etc)

Yes, you can do BP with just dumbells - in fact, I think if you look for the Body Pump Nano release that has just a couple of people on the stage so it's really clear to watch, and one of them is doing things with weight plates rather than a bar, so it's good for finding the modifications.

Have to say I am enjoying it so far. Must take a look and decide what I want to do tonight. Really want to push myself. Will try something new I think.

Is Grit full of jumping things? My knees are crocked.

Yeah there's quite a lot of jumping in Grit (my fat thumbs are only allowing me to type Grot Grin)

I think Combat tends to have the most non-jumping options, and Attack in most tracks except the plyo one but I'm sure you could adapt.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 29/04/2021 10:51

Thanks so much

Has anyone seen Tone is on LMOD! It wasn’t on this morning when I went on but saw it on Reddit so just looked at it and it looks great! Lots of cardio... I was expecting just toning slow stuff I guess lol... I’m very excited to do it. Apparently they are putting more releases on soon.

Haha I did the exact same and to look the part in Grot also 😂🙈 I got the black/multicolour ones but I love your colour. They are really comfortable!
MsMartini · 30/04/2021 09:25

@kittykarate sounds like you are getying back into it ok? How is the hip?

@NowYouListenToMeFella I agree Combat has good non-jumping options. I think it is a really good cardio workout without being quite as crushing and jumpy as Grot or Attack. I enjoy it a lot more too, love the utterly deluded feeling that I am a ninja warrior. I run and do strength training so it fits well with those.

I've not been doing much LMOD as back at my outdoor strength stuff and also a bootcamp, but I did a 55 min Combat yesterday - such good sweaty fun and so stress-busting!

kittykarate · 30/04/2021 09:34

The hip is improving (but far too slowly for my liking) thanks for asking MsMartini. I'm still keeping my LMOD exercise very low impact at the minute doing Barre/Core/BodyBalance. I'm thinking about adding in 1 x low impact body combat but perhaps that is just me getting ahead of myself.

For day to day stuff my hip is fine, the only problem comes if I need to walk anywhere, I have about 6km before it becomes painful. I overdid it on Saturday, by doing 6km in the morning, and then walking to the park to meet friends in the afternoon (probably another 4km) thinking it had had a good rest between. I was nearly in tears by the time I got home and it was poking me for the next few days.

MsMartini · 30/04/2021 09:51

So frustrating @kittykarate but it improving is the main thing I think. It is amazing how long it can take and then when you look back, you can't remember how the pain was and how if affected you (I had a shoulder injury a while back). Good luck with the next stage

rosettesforjill · 30/04/2021 09:59

Injuries can be so frustrating. I had an ITB injury from running a while back and I didn't get back into it for a good year or so. It's been fine since, thankfully 🤞🏻

kittykarate · 30/04/2021 11:15

Hot off the press news: The physio has given me to nod to swap in a low impact body combat from next week, as long as I promise to stretch like a demon afterwards. I'm to avoid jumping stuff and definitely to avoid Body Pump.

MsMartini · 30/04/2021 13:13

Brilliant @kittykarate! Does low impact mean a specific workout or you can do any BC and swap out the jumping/higher impact stuff?

kittykarate · 30/04/2021 13:20

Any BC with marching instead of running/stepping instead of jumping. He said to be sensible - no high kicks, warm up properly and then extra cooldown stretching. Basically put a bit more active work into my legs in a situation where if I feel any discomfort I can stop immediately.

zobalina77 · 30/04/2021 20:48

Did tone this evening and really enjoyed it. Hope they put a few more releases of that on. Tried to do a tuck jump and nearly fell over. Made my son laugh but at least I got my knees up a bit. Couldn't jump at all 4 weeks ago when I started.

sociallydistained · 01/05/2021 12:06

Well I had a dream I did Tone last night 🙈😂 not sure why I am now dreaming about LM. I have actually woken up with major DOMs (not from dream tonin’ but the actual gym yesterday) so may have to try it tomorrow and take today as rest lol

sociallydistained · 02/05/2021 12:12

So I actually did do Tone this morning. There are three releases now! I did #7 and really enjoyed it! I love the cardio but with specific toning and core tracks integrated. It’s exactly what I needed to complement the other things I do.
Apparently it’s a 45 minute class so I do hope they include the full releases at some point!n

HermioneWeasley · 02/05/2021 19:24

I did tone 7 yesterday and OMFG my lats are absolutely killing me! Good workout though, like the mix.

sociallydistained · 03/05/2021 09:39

Really loving Tone. I think having a new programme after all this time is really exciting. I am off to the gym today though. I’ve started a three day split programme and am actually doing strength training. I thank LM for finally giving me the confidence! I am in a constant state of doms so It was really hard doing my LM workouts this week 🙈 ... I have pretty much had to drop Pump from my schedule because I don’t have times with my gym days now :( I think I’ll be doing a mix of RPM/combat/Tone and & Core and the odd Step and Attack and possibly Grot (I do gyms version of Grot at the gym on Fridays 😒 )

kittykarate · 03/05/2021 10:21

Walking/low impact BC#85 30 minutes this morning. Survived! Followed it with stretch #3 hips for 15 minutes (I'm loving these if you haven't tried them. I haven't given the full programme a go but might tomorrow)

TabbyStar · 03/05/2021 21:41

I haven't done much recently, I've been too keen on swimming again! I did BodyBalance this morning; where's the tai chi warm up gone though in the latest releases?

rosettesforjill · 04/05/2021 07:10

I don't miss the tai chi! I always get confused with it for some reason - yoga is much more my comfort zone.

I did my first 55 minute Body Attack yesterday and survived Grin I've had a weekend of eating and drinking way too much so needing to get back on it - I'm not far off healthy weight range now (about 6-7 lb pre bank holiday feasting) but the last stretch needs so much more focus
