@NowYouListenToMeFella

Have just signed up. Going to give body pump a go this evening. Any recommendations?
I love 113!
NowYouListenToMeFella · 23/04/2021 13:23

Will give that a go. If I have to roll myself off the bed in the morning I'll blame you Wink

Looking forward to getting going. Home workouts during lockdown have been very sporadic. Gyms not open here yet. I like that there is such variety.

JLL Aerobic Exercise Stepper With Either 2 or 3 Adjustable Step Levels - Great For Home Gym, Cardio, Yoga. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Q5TK1C2/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabc2GC8ZS4J55HSR7Y5XRW1??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

wishywashywoowoo70 · 23/04/2021 14:54

I only ordered it last night so I can't tell you if it's any good yet. Grin

nbee84 · 23/04/2021 15:28

I think you'll find that step to be very short Sad Not really long enough to lie on for the chest track in pump and not enough length to do the moves properly in step.
The dkn studio aerobics step is in stock on Amazon. Bit more expensive, but that's the sort of length you want. The Reebok step is in stock too and if you click on it there is a blue/white colour option which is cheaper than the black/red, though still dearer than the one you've ordered.

kittykarate · 23/04/2021 15:37

I think that step is very short - it's only 60cm long.

Mine is about this length www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08882BV6V/?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 and still is on the short side.

mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-premium-exercise-stepper.html gets decent reviews.

nbee84 · 23/04/2021 17:16

The mirafit one would be perfect and it's a good price. We used that type at one of the gyms I used to go to.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 24/04/2021 09:36

Survived body pump 113. I did the 52 min one. Will give something else a try today.

MozzchopsThirty · 24/04/2021 10:06

Oh my am in a world of pain after BC 62 yesterday
Feels like I used to after combat years ago

It's 81cm long so it will be long enough for me. It has 3 height levels too
Pebbledashery · 24/04/2021 14:12

Hi gang hope you're all well.. Haven't done a 55 minute body combat for ages.. Did body combat 63 just now and literally soaked 😂
My friends dad is a long distance runner and said to put a black bin liner around your waist under your clothes and the sweat is something else... Well.. He was right 😂

God I just love Bodypump! So glad I rediscovered it after so many years. Did 101 this evening and I'm now walking around flexing my muscles like the world's puniest bodybuilder

Got DH to feel my abs and he seems unimpressed (in the nicest possible way!) 🤣

Champagne222 · 25/04/2021 21:49

@rosettesforjill i have visions of popeye😂

kittykarate · 26/04/2021 11:59

Hahah I've done the bicep review with my husband "Look, there's a tiny shadow line!"

It's a lovely morning so I did my Barre outside - it was nice because I wasn't permanently shuffling around trying to fit my leg waving into a small space, but I must do a not of sneaky steadying using furniture usually as I was flopping all over the place. Anyway, I'm sure it amused the neighbours and the cats.

I signed up to lmod 4 weeks ago and have been doing fastburner. I've lost a lot of weight over the last couple of years and thought it was time to try and gain some strength and try and tone up a bit. It's been going well and I've enjoyed it, especially step and attack. However today was grit 29. Wow! I thought I was going to die 😂 I got through it, a lot slower and did have to stop a few times. Does grit get easier?

kittykarate · 27/04/2021 09:37

Grit is always Grotty! It's a constant challenge as in some of the tracks you are going against yourself rather than a rep count set by the instructor. So if you're daft like me, you'll always try to squeeze in another burpee and end up feeling sick.

Grit/Grot doesn't get easier because you should always be pushing yourself to your limit but you gradually end up being able to do more of it and get better able to do the harder options. I always dread it when it's on the schedule but you feel so good afterwards!
kittykarate · 27/04/2021 09:39

In complete contrast to Grot, today was Body Balance for me. I have to admit, while I love the idea of the big participation sessions, the COVID era small number of instructors in a studio are so much easier to follow.

rosettesforjill · 27/04/2021 09:46

@kittykarate I totally agree. I don't like BA100 at all - so confusing! It's one of the first ones on Fastburner and i don't think it should be.

zobalina77 · 27/04/2021 10:02

@rosettesforjill I did feel good for getting through it. I think it was just a bit of a shock. I need to work on my burpees, I find them so challenging. I know what's coming now for next time so I will aim to push myself that bit more.

rosettesforjill · 27/04/2021 10:28

@zobalina77 I started by stepping out the burpees, just standing instead of jumping at the end but trying to keep a consistent rhythm. I jump them all now but I am much MUCH slower than the people on screen! I try not to look at them when I'm mid set because it just makes me depressed Grin

moiraswigs · 27/04/2021 16:35

I did the 45 min pump 113 this morning to finish week 3 of game changer.

@zobalina77 Grit is always a challenge, I do what rosettesforjill does and keep to my own pace. The instructors are machines!

zobalina77 · 27/04/2021 17:19

They really are machines. I tried so hard to keep up and then lay on the floor while my dog licked my face to revive me 😂 I shall try at my own pace next week and not look at the screen.

kittykarate · 28/04/2021 09:50

Core Nano followed by Stretch #2 Hips. Between Corey saying I had to squeeze oranges with my abs, and Kelly and Mark crushing grapes to make wine I'm really thirsty now.
