Ha ha MotherForkin- honestly thought it was me being silly Grin

Taking a day off exercise today but just wanted to pop on and wish you all a very happy New Year and all the best for 2021! 🥳🎉

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/12/2020 11:25

283 days this year is amazing Sophie, enjoy your well deserved rest day.

I didn't make it out for a run yesterday. But to say goodbye to this awful year I did my very frosty hill run and an absolutely freezing 7 minutes in the sea.

So, a total of 259 days for me this year. I had originally hoped, very optimisticly, to get to 200 so I'm delighted I passed that (and slightly annoyed with myself for not going out yet make it a round 260 Blush ) Happy New year everyone, thanks for all the camaraderie through the year, I'm looking forward to a hopefully better 2021 for all of us 🎉

roonetta · 31/12/2020 17:54

Well done on your days exercised Motherforkin and Sophie. I am figuring out what challenge to set myself for 2021 without it being unachievable.

Rest day for me today - Happy New Year fitness friends! Next year will be awesome 🥳🥳🥳

roonetta · 01/01/2021 15:24

BS cardio 1 done ✅

Think I will aim for 240 exercise days for 2021. That’s 5 days a week with holidays off Grin

I have put on 3lbs this week! That shows me I cannot be complacent and risk undoing all my hard work.

Days exercised 1/240

OublietteBravo · 01/01/2021 19:01

I’m going to aim for 250 days (again). Shall I go for 200 hours or 250 hours? I suppose the latter.

I’m also going to have a specific monthly target. I’m going to start out gently for January and go for 10,000 steps per day (which will involve upping my activity level - Jillian DVDs involve remarkably few steps).

First run of the year done. 4.26k to ease me in.
Think I'll be using C25k podcasts a lot for managing RED January.

SophieLion · 02/01/2021 08:55

Happy New Year to you all!! 🎉🥳 and good luck with your targets 🍀

I think my target will be to average 5 days exercise a week so that's 260 days. I've never really thought about how many steps I do a day oubliette - we have a Fitbit and some apple watches here so should put one on one day and see! I'm sure running counts for lots of steps though!

Started yesterday with a lovely yoga flow practice and strength for abs and butt. Also decided to do the Blogilates 30 days 100 reps challenge for abs and butt so did day 1 of each of those.

Today a 5km fartlek run plus day 2 of each of the challenges.

Days exercised 2

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/01/2021 12:25

I started the year well - yesterday ended up being an unplanned rest day Blush. I got out for a run this morning. Decided to just head out and try a new route that ended up being exactly 5k, which is very handy. We're back in lockdown until at least the end of January (more likely till mid March) and can't go any further than 5k from home. Luckily my hill run and sea swim are just inside the limit so I'll be able to keep them in the rotation.

I think I'll join you with 240 days Roonetta.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/01/2021 12:25

Ffs, forgot to include my count

SophieLion · 02/01/2021 13:33

Very lucky about the 5km MotherForkin but of course sorry to hear you are going into lockdown. Apparently our schools will open online on 7th and then properly on 11th - we'll
See.....

Wondering if I've been too ambitious with my target! To be honest, I don't mind so much about a target because I will do want and can manage and I find this thread and you lovely ladies so motivating anyway Smile

roonetta · 02/01/2021 16:15

Great to see everyone’s targets 👍🏻 I don’t think you are being too ambitious Sophie, you killed it last year.

Glad you can still get your hill run and sea swim in Motherforkin. My DC don’t go back to school until 18th Jan so remote learning until then. It wouldn’t surprise me if that was extended though.

Oops forgot count. Will have to get used to adding that.

Thank you Roonetta Smile

We went on a 2 hour family bike ride yesterday afternoon and raced up some hills and I was absolutely wrecked by the evening after that and my running in the morning (clearly I'll never be able to do a triathlon!) and couldn't face any cardio or HIIT today.

Just did day 3 of the abs and glutes challenge plus a vinyasa yoga practice.

Days exercised 3

Days exercised 3

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/01/2021 18:45

A very cold and bouncy sea dip today followed by a legs and core thing on YouTube. It's hard to find routines online that I don't have to modify to avoid this stupid rotator cuff.

2/238.

OublietteBravo · 03/01/2021 18:50

3 days out of 3 so far this year. I definitely find motivation less of an issue in January. I’m still in awe of any form of sea bathing at this time of year @MotherForkinShirtBalls!

A yoga flow practice plus strength for abs and day 5 of each of my challenges.

DE: 5

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 05/01/2021 15:49

Can I have some of your enthusiasm, Oubliette? Lockdown plus terrible weather have me struggling to get going. But I had some work banking to do today so I ran, which was 4.5k. I'm hoping the stormy weather will ease a bit tomorrow so I can get into the sea before they lock us down to 2km again.

Thanks Roonetta. My shoulder is very annoying and worse than I thought. The physio mentioned the possibility of it deteriorating into frozen shoulder if I'm not careful so I'm being very good. And hoping to avoid cortisone injections.

3/237.

OublietteBravo · 05/01/2021 19:13

@MotherForkinShirtBalls - I suppose exercising indoors means the weather isn’t much of a demotivating factor (except when it’s stupidly hot for about 5 minutes in the summer).
