Brrr 🥶 indeed to the sea swim. We had a wind chill of -8C today.

KB&T L1D10 and 30DS L3D8 (65 min).

Epic day 6 (abs and arms).

Days exercised 34

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/02/2021 13:07

The wind chill was only -3 when I was in the sea Wink the water itself was about 6 degrees so I didn't stay in long, about 10 mins. Now that I've got to February without a wet suit I'm hoping I might keep going without it til the water starts warming up again in April.

I made the mistake of not getting out early yesterday and was stuck at my desk until 9 last night so a lost day. I avoided the same today by going for an early run. It was snowing lightly but not sticking yet....

You are so brave crazy *Motherforkin Grin

BS WO8 done! Body Shred is finished and I have to say I am glad to see the back of it. Workouts 7 and 8 were really hard and not that enjoyable. Was also kind of sad when Jillian said "see you tomorrow" and I knew I wouldn't be Sad. Still, onwards and upwards, Epic here I come!

Well done for finishing body shred Roonetta! I hope you will like epic.

I imagine cold water swimming is very good for the circulation and lymph system MotherForkin .... don't they do that in spas? You have to go in a super cold plunge pool and then a warm one?

OublietteBravo · 09/02/2021 19:49

30DS L3D9 and KB&T L2D10 (70 min). Really glad to see the back of that level of KB&T. One more day to go to finish 30DS.

Day 7 epic (lower body dumbbells). Even she said it would be a tough one.... so many lunges. Feeling proud of myself.

Our schools are closing tomorrow and full
Lockdown. Upper schools opened for 1.5 weeks only. They say lockdown will be for 2 weeks but they always say that.... at least one of the "two weeks" is half term week AngryAngrySadSad

Sorry to hear you are going back into lockdown Sophie Sad. Hope it turns out to only be for 2 weeks.

You are so dedicated Oubliette. What are you going to replace 30DS with?

Day 1 of Epic done. All legs and I’m not sure I will be able to walk tomorrow. Actually used my heaviest 5kg weights so I was chuffed (well done on doing this with 10kg Sophie!). I mainly used my 3kg as I don’t have 4’s but used 5kg for some. A big plus was that there was absolutely no jumping around (my pelvic floors thanked me for that) but I still managed to burn the same amount of calories as I do with Jillian.

SophieLion · 10/02/2021 18:44

I didn't use 10kg!!!!!! Mainly 5kg. I only used DH's 10kg for the Romanian deadlifts (and could barely pick them up - was worried would injure my back actually).

Well done for doing day 1!

I'm not doing epic tomorrow as got doctor appointment first thing and think my body really needs a rest day. I think though I should try to get on the same days as her as I can see how she plans it all out and times the rest days and i'm a bit off (eg now will end up doing upper body on Friday and then full body on Saturday instead of having a rest day between the two). I might do a yoga stretch practice tomorrow though if I find time later in the day.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 10/02/2021 19:13

The flurries here still aren't sticking so I was running again today.

Sorry to hear about lockdown Sophie. Do you think 2 weeks is realistic? There's a ridiculous amount of leaking and kite flying from the Education Dept here about if/when the kids will be back in school. I'm finding that uncertainty worse than them being home. Just tell us the bloody plan when you have one Angry

I’m sorry to hear about the renewed lockdown @SophieLion. I’m starting to feel like I’m in permanent limbo.

KB&T L3D10 and 30DS L3D10 (65 min). Definitely time for a new combination! I think I’m going to do 40 days of Ri30 plus 6W6P/KAbs next @roonetta.

Managed to fit in exercise afterall and did epic day 8 (upper body). It was fine and not too tough. She had said it would be tough but she was using 12kg weights or something and I was not Grin So now caught up on her daily schedule which is good.

I'm sure out lockdown will NOT be only 2 weeks MotherForkin. They say 2 weeks every time abs it's never 2 weeks. On the positive side I enjoyed not doing the school run and it meant I had time to exercise this afternoon.

You still used 10kg for something though Sophie and that is awesome Star - glad to see you are enjoying it. I did workout 2 today and loved it, apart from skull crusher push ups which I couldn't even do on my knees. I was surprised at how many exercises I could manage with 5kg, but don't think I could lift heavier than that for now. It amazes me how she lifts 8kg! The muscles in my arms are tingling now and my butt is killing me today from yesterday's workout. I also feel like I can manage the moves with better form as there are no cardio intervals getting me out of puff in between. Love the 15 second breaks after each exercise too.

Glad the snow didn't scupper your run Motherforkin. Hope you manage to get a sea swim in at some stage too.

You will have rock hard abs after that combination Oubliette Grin

SophieLion · 11/02/2021 15:55

I've already forgotten what skill crusher push ups are!! Well done for day 2 and thank you for pointing me in the direction of epic. Very much enjoying something new and like following the plan.

Yes I was also thinking that my form is better Roonetta as the exercises are more straightforward and not as "rushed" (is that the right word?) as with Jillian. Not all her workouts have rests though - yesterday was 3 sets then a short rest so more tiring. Today with upper body it was a 30 second rest each time which felt quite long.

SophieLion · 11/02/2021 15:56

*skull crusher

OublietteBravo · 11/02/2021 19:42

Ri30 L1D1 and 6W6P L1D1 (65 min). That actually felt like a pretty easy combination.

Long day of zooming so I only got out late and didn't have the energy to run so I had a decent walk instead.

No swimming for the moment unfortunately, Roonetta, the coast guard has asked that people avoid the sea for the next few days until the storm has passed. I'm looking forward to getting back in though Smile

Epic day 9 (one hour full body). Very much looking forward to my rest day tomorrow!

How is your shoulder MotherForkin?

Days exercised 37

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/02/2021 10:57

I got out early for a run in the park this morning. It was so windy and cold but a good way to wake myself up! I'll try to do pe with the kids later, if they'll let me. Hmm

Shoulder is improving Sophie but still not right. I'm back to the physio this evening. Very fed up of it now, it's been at me since October, not to mention the eye watering physio bill.

28/212

roonetta · 12/02/2021 13:46

Two level 1's Oubliette. That doesn't happen very often!

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with your shoulder Motherforkin Sad - have you tried an osteopath? I wonder whether they could give you a deeper tissue manipulation (although i'm no expert so feel free to tell me I don't know what i'm on aboutGrin).

Epic day 3 done. I found this one difficult. My core is not the strongest and it showed Confused. I'm not sure how i'm going to catch up to her schedule. I should have really started on a Monday. I might try and catch up a bit this weekend and miss out the rest days, although I might regret that as I am aching all over.

OublietteBravo · 12/02/2021 19:13

I decided to do a shorter (but definitely not an easier) session. Cardio: BFBM (50 min). Rest day tomorrow.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/02/2021 22:45

I have never been to an osteopath, Roonetta, I'm not sure what they do! The physio did dry needling on me today to get into very specific trigger points. Sweet Jesus it was horrendous. Then she strapped my shoulder into the position it's supposed to be... Hopefully it works!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/02/2021 17:11

Walking again today, my shoulder is too achey for an indoor workout and the wind is too strong to battle against to try running!

Days 29/211

OublietteBravo · 13/02/2021 17:50

My rest day appears to have involved walking 17km (which is around 25k steps).

OP posts:
MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/02/2021 22:26

How on earth do you manage that many steps Oubliette?? In the days of yore, when I could walk school runs and get out for a run, I'd be hard pushed to get to 15k steps!
