My pelvic floors are not up to trampolining Blush - I can barely do jumping jacks!

BS WO6 done

Squats are the only thing that have helped my pelvic floor, Roonetta. I have a dodgy hip from my two pregnancies and even after extensive physio, it is squats that hold me together.

Miserable weather today and minimal enthusiasm get going today so I did a YouTube cardio thing. It was better than I expected and they snuck in some standing core work which I'm definitely feeling.

Hello! Good to see everyone making progress. I may end up taking a rest day tomorrow - my left calf feels really tight and I don’t want to injure myself.

KB&T L3D5 and 30DS L2D5 (65 min). Half way through this particular combination of DVDs.

(17/233; 18h 05min)

Still managing 10,000 steps per day (currently at 11241)

I never knew squats were good for pelvic floors Motherforkin. I have been doing kegels for years to no effect and this information has blown my mind! I am now going to be adding squats to my day 😁. Thank you 🙏

Hope your calf eases Oubliette Flowers

SophieLion · 20/01/2021 07:01

Day 20 of the two challenges - the abs one was ok but the glutes one was nasty plus you always have to do 100 per leg...) plus ripped in 30 L3.

I may have to take a rest day tomorrow as meeting first thing so not sure if will be able to fit in exercise or not.

Hope your calf is ok oubliette- maybe do some
Focussed stretching for it.

Well done Sophie, the challenges sound harder work than the workouts!

BS cardio 2 done. Killer. Awesome calories burned though. I have also been adding in some WWL since last week. Once the kids have finished remote learning and we have had a chat and a cuppa, they disappear off upstairs to chat with their friends online so I am making good use of the extra free time Smile

OublietteBravo · 20/01/2021 19:17

My calf feels a lot better today, so I kept going rather than taking a rest day. 30DS L2D6 and KB&T L1D6 (65 min)

5km interval run plus day 21 of the challenges.

Glad to hear your calf is better Oubliette Smile

BS WO5 done. Struggled today but got it done.

Physio yesterday so i was too sore to do anything after it. One of the dc's teachers sent a YouTube video for pe class so I did it twice, once with each kid while the other was on a class call. I was pooped after the two sessions!

12/228

OublietteBravo · 21/01/2021 19:27

I could only face a shorter session this evening. Strength: NMTZ (50 min). I’m almost at 15,000 steps though - pretty good for a weekday.

Hope you feel Better soon MotherForkin.

Day 22 of the challenges plus a cat Meffan yoga flow session for strength.

Days exercised 20

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/01/2021 13:12

Thanks Sophie, the physiotherapy is bloody sore the day she works on me, but it seems to be paying off so fingers crossed it's going in the right direction.

I got out early for a run this morning as it's just too hard to do anything once home schooling starts.

Happy weekend, everyone Smile

Well done everyone.

BS WO6 done.

30DS L2D7 & KB&T L2D6 (70 min) - one of my least favourite combinations! I'm planning a rest day tomorrow. Although obviously I’ll still aim for 10,000 steps.

KB&T L2 plus says 23 and 24 of abs challenge and day 24 of glutes challenge (will have to do day 23 another day).

Apparently our upper schools might open next Monday. That means upper school children will have been online schooling for 3 months...... really open they do open 🤞🏻

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/01/2021 09:53

I'm glad I got up and out early this morning for some hill sprints...it started snowing when I was about 500m from home! I'm disappointed i won't get for a swim now.

I don't know how you're managing so many steps when also working from home Oubliette! I did 15k yesterday but it was a day of cleaning and cooking and I barely sat down. I can get to 12k when the kids are in school and I run/walk the school run but it's so hard otherwise. And it was unofficially confirmed yesterday that schools will stay closed until at least mid March. They closed mid March last year so that means only 3 months in school in a full year.

14/226

roonetta · 24/01/2021 16:14

I don’t think I’ve ever managed 15k! Well done 👏 Rest day yesterday and I nearly had another today but realised I had been literally sat on my ass the whole day so made myself do a 5k WWL and feel better for it. Such a lazy weekend Blush

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/01/2021 23:12

Oh, that might have been misleading, Roonetta, I meant 15,000 steps, not 15km Blush I definitely didn't do 15km yesterday Grin

SophieLion · 25/01/2021 06:45

5km fartlek run plus day 25 of the two challenges

Days exercised 22

roonetta · 25/01/2021 14:15

You didn’t mislead me Motherforkin , I realised you meant steps. I didn’t even realise I had added the ‘k’ 🤣 However a 15k would be a walk in the park for you!

BS WO5 done for the last time. Forgot to add WWL as a day exercised, so days exercised 19

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/01/2021 19:19

Phew, I didn't want to get unearned credit Grin

Far too icy for a run today so i had a walk at lunchtime and I'm psychicing myself up for a core/legs YouTube video that left me aching for days the last time I did it. (If I preemptively post i can't back out!)

My pt rang me earlier to say she's closing her studio Sad. I'm so sad for her, she started just over a year ago and in any other time she would have built a great client base (she's brilliant) but lockdown after lockdown has completely crippled her chances so she's gone back to her old job. And sadly for me, I've no idea who I'm going to get to kick me into gear when I need it.

15/225

OublietteBravo · 25/01/2021 19:38

I know what you mean @MotherForkinShirtBalls - I barely made it past 10,000 steps to. It’s just too icy out there. I did do some indoor exercise though: KB&T L3D6 & 30DS L2D8 (65 min)

(21/229; 22h 15min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 26/01/2021 07:56

Sorry to hear about your pt Motherforkin. It's really sad; so many small businesses just can't stay afloat in this environment. Hopefully we can all kick each other into gear and can all inspire each other to carry on exercising. Did you do the hardcore you tube workout?

one hour of strength today: days 23 and 26 of the glutes challenge and day 26 of the abs challenge plus strength for abs, arms and back.

Days exercised 23

roonetta · 26/01/2021 13:51

It's such a shame about your PT Motherforkin Sad. Let's hope when this is all over, she can start back up again.

BS WO6 done for the last time. Now moving on to WOs 7 and 8 and admit to being a bit worried! One of the cast says something in workout 6 "You get what you work for, not what you wish for" and this really resonates with me for some reason. I know my tummy certainly won't get any smaller just by wishing for it Grin

Also a small victory in that I got my DS out for a walk this morning before home schooling began. I can't believe he actually came with me, but his mood has been getting lower recently and he really needed it. Am going to try and get him to come with me at least a few times a week. Not sure how long it will last though.

Days exercised 20.
