Is it just me or gym female room always so hostile

We just moved to a small middle class town from London .
I am now quite shocked how hostile is the new local gym female changing room.
it is like a pack and a tight knitted old pack who will give a lesson to all newcomers .

And this is a commercial chain one which I can’t name here .

I wonder whether this is a London vs small town thing . Or just typical female changing room thing ? But in London I didn’t have any of such drama .

You seem obsessed with judging the people you meet on the basis of whether or not they work, the fact they use tutors, people (in your view) 'kissing ass', whether or not someone has a social life outside the gym..... seriously, do you ever stop judging people?

You've already decided that you are superior to everyone in this new town you live in, and obviously want out. So you're projecting all of your prejudices on to the people you meet, when in actual fact you know nothing about them! It's bizarre.

My gym is lovely. Mix of ages and sizes. I have seen people use the sauna without putting a towel down first, which is kind of disgusting.

I have been to many gyms. Yes they are hostile places. God forbid you are someone's 'usual' spot or inadvertently using 'their' peg. The death stares and space reclaiming is brutal. However I have been known to loudly whinge about drippers.

And if During changing in a hurry .... when I lay my t shirt on / within my share of square .... if the t shirt loosely fell over / crossing the line I have to quickly reposition it back before some woman picking it up for me .. with “hi excuse me ...... “ ....

Ok, will answer the questions.

1. Screeching what? We must know.

The most memorable screeching was about the “wasps”. There used to be quite a few in the car park. She came in screeching about the wasps, saying she thought she was allergic. The receptionist asked If she’d been stung and the member said no. Receptionist then ignored the ensuing hysterics which culminated with her lying prone on the sofa in the reception area gasping. After being ignored for a while longer she leaped up and complained about the lack of help and said she had been treated better when she’d been imprisoned by the nazis in a concentration camp. The concentration camp comments were repeated loudly multiple times over the next few weeks.

1. Why is the PT boasting about poisoning members? No it was the above member who allegedly poisoned the PT.

1. Why tippex? Can you even buy tippex these days? Why not just use cyanide? I’m guessing cyanide is hard to find. Dunno where you buy tippex from. Amazon probably.

1. Is tippex poisonous?

If you drank enough maybe.

1. Is tippex water soluble? No idea.

1. I give up. I am going to the wrong gyms.

Oh and I got the receptionist to look up her age for me on the system and she wasn’t old enough to be in a concentration camp.....nearly, but not quite.

Tiptoes out of this changing room really quietly hoping none sees me. Head a bit all over the place - slight stumble of confusion after reading this far . . .

Also my gym always have ambulance drama .

on the way to the gym once I had to make way for a flying ambulance . Then upon arrival I saw it parked out side the gym .
then a fat guy half naked ( winter !!!!) lying on floor with several staff ....
i have no idea what is going on . But ambulance guys came and left without him. And had a lunch inside car park also before leaving .

So I guess nothing major .

For once I thought of virus 🦠 but no paramedic wearing a mask .

What a dramatic place ....... well I wish him well ....

Ah forgot to mention all the BMW’s 4x4 parking in the disabled bays !!!!!!

Long story short :
I saw in my peep hole that she watching me via her peep hole And came out as soon as I close my door to knee on the community hall way floor ... hand pick all dust / fluff / rubbish papers / pieceS & lay them like soliders in a neat straight line in front of my door within 15cm .

I Told my landlord ... he said don’t worry she is always like this with all his previous 5 tenants .

Apparently she would Make complaintS for things like : finger print / foot print Marks in the lift .

she refuses to say hello to any delivery men / postman inside lift . Giving them death stares too Silently in a very slow moving small lift .

she lies about that no cleaners came to clean the community hall way carpet Which is totally untrue . As every owner chipped in for this management company which is very good and flawless .

She is like crime scene forensic scientist trying to climb onto top of her car to hand pick all autumn leaves .

All I can say is that people died in this chain of gyms.
But again lots people die in Lots of gyms every year everywhere .

Can you take up solitary running instead? I'm not sure socializing is for you for a number of reasons.

Why social in gym ?
Why social naked in changing room ? Staring at each other s pubic hair and saying hello ? How is your dog ?
