Where do you put your phone when you run???

I'm doing couch to 5k so I like to take my phone with me because the app talks you through what to do, when to run when to walk etc. I bought a phone armband thing from karrimore but its so bulky it drives me crazy when I'm running and it's not easy to get your phone in and out when you want to change music etc. People who run out there — what do you do???

Tbh i mainly stick it in my bra. I did buy some leggings that are designed with a gap in the waistband that you can stretch your phone into - perfect, except the leggings are too see through on me!

Flipbelt

CharlieandLolaCat · 11/08/2019 22:01

Type running belt into amazon and you'll get loads of options - they're a godsend. I used to carry mine!

LoveAGoodToddlerTantrum · 11/08/2019 22:02

I got a plastic bag thing to put it in and pop it in my bra... I'm not sure it's the best thing to do but I found all the phone holder gadgets and gizmos really annoying. I've run 2 marathons with my phone in my bra and not so much as a graze.

haverhill · 11/08/2019 22:02

I just carry it in my hand.

iguanadonna · 11/08/2019 22:05

Bra. Over to the left under my arm. And tissue and earphone case between the boobs. I feel there should be a more sophisticated solution but this is by far the neatest I've found.

FMFL · 11/08/2019 22:05

Second the flip belt! Fab and means you can carry keys, tissues as well as phone.

PancakeAndKeith · 11/08/2019 22:05

Arm band thing.
I found the Flip belt really annoying.

FMFL · 11/08/2019 22:06

Or Tikiboo running leggings...high waisted ones come with a roomy pocket at the back which fits my phone comfortably.

glutten4punishment · 11/08/2019 22:06

Flipbelt - love mine!

Bat3 · 11/08/2019 22:06

In my bra!

swampytiggaa · 11/08/2019 22:06

Flipbelt 🙂

AndWhatNext · 11/08/2019 22:07

Bumbag.
I couldn't get on with those armband things.

BikeRunSki · 11/08/2019 22:07

I wear cycling tops with pockets in.

whoaherewego · 11/08/2019 22:08

I have a thing that straps it to my hand - got it from Decathlon.

Nicketynac · 11/08/2019 22:09

I have leggings with pockets in the waistband or down the thigh - the thigh ones are best for me as they are easier to access. I am too sweaty to have my phone in my bra Blush . Need to make sure the leggings fit well though - the weight of the phone can pull them down if they are a bit baggy.

AuntieStella · 11/08/2019 22:10

Flipbelt

Or other waist belt.

Or in the pocket of the one pair of running tights I have that actually have a pocket up to it

candycane222 · 11/08/2019 22:11

Just going to post what bikerunski did - cycling tops, which tend to ahve three really deep pockets across the back: car keys; hanky; phone.

also have a funny elasticy running belt with pockets in which is OK but more of a faff - can't just grab stuff out and drop back in.

HappyParent2000 · 11/08/2019 22:12

Mine goes in my slimline running backpack.

It has a phone pocket and space for a battery pack and cables. I use wireless headphones and a watch linked to it.

I have no need to actually use it then as it’s all remotely controlled for my YouTube Music app.

AreWeAnywhereNear · 11/08/2019 22:14

I have a running belt, which keeps my phone and keys in.

Runwayqueen · 11/08/2019 22:18

Running belt or camelbac depending on length of run I'm doing

FernPotts · 11/08/2019 22:22

I just hold it in my hand. Seems fine.

AuntieStella · 11/08/2019 22:24

"I just hold it in my hand"

Just make sure you swop between hands frequently, to ensure you do not inadvertently let unlevelness creep in

FernPotts · 11/08/2019 22:26

Really ? I’m not sure it’s big enough to make me unlevel but maybe there’s something I’m missing!

C0untDucku1a · 11/08/2019 22:30
