How effective is this training?
4

SparklingTwilight · 15/02/2019 16:06

Duration 00:48
Avg heart rate 106 bpm
Max heart rate 137 bpm
PTE 1.9
Recovery 3h
Calories 256 kcal

Because I don't think it sounds good. DH said PTE should be 2.4 and heart rate above 145 to have any positive effect. Yet by the end I was shaking and could barely pedal any more.

I don't know what PTE tbh. Anything that gets you moving and gets your heart rate up is going to be better than doing nothing

Well you can concentrate on the numbers or on how you actually feel. Clearly it is having an effect if you felt you were working really hard! There is a tendency to only look at numbers, but certainly in the world of running there are a lot of trainers talking about focusing on effort and how things feel rather than measurements from a watch or whatever. If you feel you are working hard then it is doing you good and if you keep at it you will get stronger. Do make sure you are feeling and hydrating well so you can get the most out of yourself and good luck! Ps also try to have some fun!
