I'm on the sicky sofa today. 4.5 miles on the plan, but very disappointed to be logging a rest day instead, even if it is the sensible thing to do. Hopefully I'll shake this virus, and can go out tomorrow ....

mammymammyIRL · 28/11/2017 10:06

loudest push over I'm on the sicky sofa too, and had hoped to go tomorrow morning on dreadmill but I think that's unlikely now as well Sad

I've had what I assume is a low level virus for a couple of weeks. Have managed a 5.6 mile "race" and a 5k run in 2 weeks. I actually feel human for the first time in 2 weeks today so will either run or do a 30 day shred workout tonight depending on how DH feels (it's his bike club night but he might not feel up to it or think it's too frosty). Will definitely do something regardless!

londonmummy1966 · 28/11/2017 16:37

Thanks loudest had intended to go this morning but felt lie a lie in but I've just completed a fartlek session now - my legs are screaming but I'm feeling virtuous. Sadly DH is abroad so I won't get any Wine...

mammy I'm loving those leggings!

LoudestRoar · 28/11/2017 17:42

Well done mummy
Hope you feel better mammymammyIRL

mammymammyIRL · 28/11/2017 19:41

Awesome leggings mammy hope you feel better soon too, and you loudest.

Clarabell100 · 29/11/2017 16:54

fab leggings!!!

Another 5k at lunch today. Was an absolutely gorgeous running day - cold but sunny. Wonder how many more of those we'll get this year!

randomsabreuse · 30/11/2017 12:35

Finally got out for a decent run today. Same route as last week but where last week I just walked home after 5k this time I added on a hill loop and did 9k much faster without pushing. Wretched lurgy finally gone at last, just in time for an 8.5 mile hilly trail race next weekend!

mammymammyIRL · 03/12/2017 10:24

Just been out with dd at junior parkrun & think I might attempt 10k to complete my 12k virtual medal Smile
I've had a cold so not run in two weeks so it might be a slow one Sad

I did it, very slowly but I ran it all & my lungs didn't give me grief like I expected them to after having a cold Grin

Well donemammy hope your cold is heading off now. Feel like we’ve had a month of bugs in our house. The full moon must have spurred me on to do my first 10miler this morning Smile started off slow struggling with my hip stopped to stretch and it “popped” and felt SO much better must have released it somehow so I carried on. That will be my last long run until after Xmas now. But hope to do a couple of 10ks over next couple weeks with some half hr runs too. And I’ll aim for another ten miler around New Years.

mammymammyIRL · 04/12/2017 21:05

Great to be keeping up those long distances tri I'm spending time at my parents over Christmas hoping to run each day I'm there

I had planned to run this morning, was up during the night with ds, decided not to cancelled alarm, awake now it's raining, I'm going to pay €4 & use treadmill for 20 mins Grin

Not dead just very little to report. DH had "food poisoning" after his work Christmas Party and so I didn't get to do my planned long run on Sunday which I'd been looking forward to. Got out with the club on Monday though.

BusterTheBulldog · 06/12/2017 13:29

Not dead!! Im averaging about 20 miles a week at the mo, I think my 20 mile race end of Feb might be bit optimistic. Have definitely got my mojo back which is great though.

mammymammyIRL · 07/12/2017 05:57

Woo hoo good to see ye are still about Smile

3 and a bit k leg stretch today as I've got a bit of a cold and I have things to do. Barring ridiculous snow 8.5 mile race on Sunday, parkrun Saturday and 2 hours riding lessons. Stay on the hills please snow!

TriGirl007 · 07/12/2017 12:17

I snuck in a 6k last night whilst daughter was swim training but it was rather windy I did duck the worst of the rain just a sprinkle. Looking cold & icy for the weekend but hope to get another short run in.

mammymammyIRL · 07/12/2017 12:53

Great going random and tri despite weather!
My running buddy is back!! So hoping we'll get out tonight

mammymammyIRL · 07/12/2017 21:43

6k with my friend - 3degrees so really layered up

randomsabreuse · 08/12/2017 21:41

Ridiculous snow arrived here of course. No parkrun within driving distance is running and getting to Sunday's race might be hard... annoying!

mammymammyIRL · 09/12/2017 07:29

Ah sugar random

OP posts:
randomsabreuse · 09/12/2017 10:23

Sunday's race also cancelled- 10 inches of snow already and the forecast for Sunday is for up to a foot more!
