I have been walk/jogging 5k on the treadmill, for about 2 months. I am about to step out into the real world and really, really need some music. Something that pushes you on? Any recommendations?
Therealslimshady1 · 07/05/2017 14:21
Pump it by the blackeyed peas is great for running!
Sammysquiz · 07/05/2017 15:51
I like to listen to Move by Little Mix when I'm running
IsThatYouPaul · 07/05/2017 16:15
If you're that way musically inclined, "Na na na" by My Chemical Romance is ace.
My absolute favourite at the moment.
CantStandMeow · 07/05/2017 16:18
As cheesy as it sounds I have the imaginatively named "Now that's what I call Running". Some great tunes on there
Comealongpond89 · 07/05/2017 16:34
I started the couch to 5k about a month ago. The right music really helps. Some of my tunes include:
Fight song by Rachel Platten
Roar by Katy Perry
More than a feeling by Boston
Rock you like a hurricane by The Scorpions
Don't stop believing by Journey
Rockabye baby by Clean Bandit
Raise your glass by Pink
Power ballads are brilliant if you like that sort of thing which i do!
Comealongpond89 · 07/05/2017 16:35
They were separated by paragraphs! Sorry it's all jumbled now. Hope u can read it ok lol

Shake it Off By Taylor Swift
Mr Brightside by The Killers
Redhead17 · 07/05/2017 16:42
I have
I predict a riot - kaiser chiefs
Changed the way you kissed me - example
One foot - fun
I hit the wrong playlist the other week and had harder to breathe by maroon 5 which was quite fitting as it was a bad nasal morning for me
I listen to a mix bag not really aimed at running I like songs I know as they tend to go quicker so running time seems shorter
Turquoisa · 07/05/2017 16:44
No easy way out-Rocky soundtrack
Work-Kelly Rowland
I want to break free-Queen
Wicked Game-ParaCuva
Rush Hour-Jane Wiedlin
random tuneage I know
ScarlettDarling · 07/05/2017 16:46
Don't stop me now -Queen.
I just loooove this song to run to!
Pringlemunchers · 07/05/2017 16:49
Brilliant ideas. Love of of these. I am not fussy and will listen to anything! It gets boring listening to the same old tunes, so any new suggestions are great. My personal faves are dance, rock, pop, cheesy 80's, just not jazz or country :0)
OnceMoreIntoTheBleach · 07/05/2017 16:54
I put a dubstep mix on YouTube when I'm on my treadmill. It's quite angsty and keeps me going!
BlessYourCottonSocks · 07/05/2017 16:59
I have some great stuff (although possible weird mix) for running 5k.
Recommend:-
Mountains - Biffy Clyro
Come on - Will Young
The Greatest - Sia
Move Along - All American Rejects
Get Ready - The Temptations
Roads - Lawson
KoolKoala07 · 07/05/2017 17:01
It's got to be call on me by Eric prydz for me!
mylittlefidget · 07/05/2017 18:25
I second "don't stop me now" by Queen. Fab song to run to
sparkleandsunshine · 07/05/2017 18:30
So not music BUT if you fancy something a little different, I am listening to the Serial podcast while running. It's real life crime cases relooked into, bit weird but really interesting, works for me x
GlowWine · 07/05/2017 18:35
My absolute fave: Survival by Muse
My Queen faves have already been mentioned
Cheesy oldies:
Eye of the tiger by Survivor
Final countdown by Europe
TooFew · 07/05/2017 18:36
Running to prodigy...got me from my previous 2k on a treadmill whilst dying...to 5 without even realising!
pombal · 07/05/2017 18:39
Ace of Spades - Motörhead
You can't always get what you want - Rolling Stones (more for the lyrics than the tempo).

Love is wicked brick and lace. Timbaland and the hives throw it on me.
noitsnotme · 07/05/2017 18:47
I've been out walking a lot this week and these almost get me breaking into a run:
Cafe Del Mar/energy 52
Stronger/Kanye West
We Come 1/Faithless
Ready to Go/Republica
Death/White Lies
almost have me break into a run.
Almost, but not quite. Maybe next week...

Hall of Fame - The Script ft Will.I.Am
VanderlyleGeek · 07/05/2017 19:10
I really liked:
Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine
Graceless by The National
Summerisdone · 07/05/2017 19:26
Do you use Spotify? If so they have a 'workout' section in genres, in there are lots of readymade workout playlists.
They range from indie, rock, hip hop, drum n bass or pop workout playlists, or you can even go with a specific decade like the 80's, 90's or 00's workout.
It's worth a look, I put many of these playlists on to motivate myself to clean up the house
