Mitchy1nge · 29/11/2014 14:17

(am loving how absolutely fucked my road running friends and family are and how fresh I am Grin)

cinnamongreyhound · 29/11/2014 14:17

Well done feetheart!

I was in a fluorescent green short sleeve rnr top so perhaps yellowy looking :)

I'm going to assume I saw you, I didn't hang about at the check point/halfway bit, but I did see two beautiful pointy hounds of differing heights and wanted to say hi CG

I just looked like any other mad, old person with hair the colour and texture of straw Grin

MirandaWest · 29/11/2014 17:45

Have been at work all day. On train on the way back to my mum and dad's house - if I am good will go out for a small run when I get back :)

DS and my bf did the York park run this morning - DS now in the new 11-14 category and for his second 5k ever did 28 min 9 seconds which I'm v impressed with. Need to work a bit to keep up with him Grin

Next week going to make DD come too. Not sure what she'll be like so I'll run with her at a hopefully slower pace Grin

originalpiratematerial · 29/11/2014 17:57

Well done everyone, you awesome bunch!

A little 3.1 miles from me yesterday. Still doing the run/walk thing but hip quite stiff and creaky today Hmm.

913.4

Suzannewithaplan · 29/11/2014 18:13

well done to the racers, I have 6 miles to add so that's 919.4

I did a couple of the miles in cushioned running shoes, felt very odd and I was glad to put my vibrams back on

emummy · 29/11/2014 20:29

3.1 ver muddy miles from me, so 922.5

MirandaWest · 29/11/2014 21:24

I ran 2.55 miles at a rather slower pace than I was hoping. Was meant to be 3k but turned left instead of right and ended up going further.

925 miles

karatekimmi · 30/11/2014 01:27

9.3 from. E which takes is to 906.5

Still drunk from Running club night out Confused

karatekimmi · 30/11/2014 08:02

Ha ha, I must have missed a few pages!!

934.3

My running partner got a club place in London last night so that has made things interesting - we were going to run a marathon together. Do I go for a charity place, run Manchester on my own or ??? trying to get pregnant but it isn't happening at the minute Sad and I'm sick of putting my life on hold

ThursdayLast · 30/11/2014 08:14

Enter the marathon kimmi, by the law of sod you'lol be upduffed before you know it!
(Or if not, you've got something else to focus on)

emummy · 30/11/2014 10:06

5.4 easy miles from me in the lovely sunshine - well, easy apart from the massive hill! So total 939.7
Well done racing people, sounds like you all had a good time. Today's run included the route of our town's Boxing Day fun run, including that big hill. Not sure if I'll do it!

TheBigBumTheory · 30/11/2014 10:13

6.1 this morning..misty and sunny. Plenty of hills but good training for next week 10k race.

Well done to all racers and parkrunnners this weekend.

actiongirl1978 · 30/11/2014 11:36

Well done racers, sounds like you all had a great day yesterday!

I can add 9 miles this morning, my longest yet and I am now going to compensate by eating everything i clap my eyes on in the kitchen!

I was ridiculously slow and it took 1hr45mins! My HM is going to be off the scale slow I think!

954.8

What are the chances we can make 45 between us this afternoon?!

HalleLouja · 30/11/2014 12:25

5 miles in just over 45 minutes at the Hatfield 5 miler. Was lovely course.

959.8

The lovely woman at our run club in her 70s made me push at the end to beat the person in front. Managed to beat the person in front of her as well. I felt really strong at the end.

Actiongirl the adrenaline will get you through. I haven't been running that fast recently but managed to get faster today. The sun shining helped.

actiongirl1978 · 30/11/2014 12:28

Ah thanks HalleLouja, my plan is to run up to 11 or 12 miles in training on long slow runs, and then try and up my LSR pace so it is closer to tempo and I have 4 months to train so I am ok I think!

You are right about the sunshine, it is glorious right now in Hampshire!

HalleLouja · 30/11/2014 12:31

LSR? Sorry what's that.

feetheart · 30/11/2014 12:53

Well done Halle - it is beautiful today and would have been lovely to run in. Need to keep the family happy though so a walk in the country may be on the cards instead :)

Well done to all the other runners too :)

originalpiratematerial · 30/11/2014 13:12

463.8 with my four miles in glorious sunshine this morning. Not bad considering I went out last night (I never go out Confused).

HalleLouja · 30/11/2014 13:35

Feet there were runners from your club there.

ThursdayLast · 30/11/2014 13:42

Hello!
I've a long slow run of my own to add 8.5 miles off road with my running buddy. We spent a long time planning what we are going to wear for the Scrooge - found some xmas rugby socks that look brilliant!

So total is 971.8

actiongirl1978 · 30/11/2014 15:37

Yes HalleLouja, Long Slow Run! A new found thing for me, so I am quite excited about it! I always wondered how people ran further and for longer, I thought I would be stuck at 5k forever! Now I know that its ok to slow right down in order to cover some distances I never thought possible, and I love it!

feetheart · 30/11/2014 15:38

Thursday - link please. I need more than just a Santa hat for Christmas park runs.
