New thread for park runners old and new. Who's running at home and away this weekend? Who's volunteering?

Going to give Tring another go tomorrow as DS loved it and wants to do it again - it's a Very Big Hill

Angry

Blatherskite · 23/01/2015 18:25

I'm off to Barking tomorrow.

I leave at 6:45!

I think I may be barking!

HalleLouja · 23/01/2015 18:38

Dh is out tonight and won't be home until later tomorrow so no parkrun for me. Have fun tomorrow everyone.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/01/2015 18:53

My canicross club have a photographer and journalist at our club run tomorrow so I'm going along to support them and will be missing parkrun. He's taking some action shots so we will be doing the usual 4 mile route from that particular start point :) hate missing parkrun but at least I'm running and I'll be famous Wink

muminhants · 23/01/2015 19:05

DH is doing his 100th parkrun tomorrow.

LollipopViolet · 23/01/2015 19:43

I'm back! Getting back into parkrun as of next Saturday, as I've taken leave of my senses and entered Race for Life with some workmates. I know it's not a timed event but I'm using it as motivation to get fit again!

Next weekend is going to kill me, isn't it??

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/01/2015 20:37

Hello Lollipop great to see you back Smile.

I won't comment Blathers (but why are you going all that way?) Smile

Well done Mrmuminhants Smile

Bask in your fame cinners Smile

Sorry you won't be running Halle Smile

You will NAIL that hill feet Smile

I am really looking forward to getting out tomorrow, after 7+ hours of driving today I need a leg stretch.

I think the only response I have OhOne is "tourism"

Someone offered to drive and I'm a sucker for a new parkrun

LollipopViolet · 23/01/2015 20:52

Oh no, I've just remembered THE HILLS at my home run... Shock

I've got a week to psych myself up for them. I've shouted out on our FB page for a training/running buddy to help me improve my times :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/01/2015 21:10

That's as good as any Blathers

I am home tomorrow.

Absolutely beautiful morning here! Just checked our results, we had 46 runners and the lady who fell last week was back Smile

ThursdayLast · 24/01/2015 11:51

Beautiful day here.
Was so close to a PB I practically threw myself down the hill, was nearly sick at the end! But to no avail Sad

Reckon I was about 10 seconds off

KristinaM · 24/01/2015 11:54

ALL our local runs cancelled today due to ice

Shame about the PB Thursday

feetheart · 24/01/2015 16:28

I did survive the hill and the cows (though the emoticon was pretty accurate :)) and actually enjoyed the run. Lovely expensive breakfast afterwards and lots of words of wisdom from the ED.

A good parkrunday :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 24/01/2015 17:42

Well done Thursday, shame about the PB but sounds like you worked jolly hard Smile

Well done feet and glad you enjoyed the run. I was telling everyone today about your success with Luton and we (those of us who came to Wimpole) will all be there to support you when you start Smile

We had a frosty run, so my first lap was a bit slow until I found my feet, then I got faster and faster and overtook several people with a sprint finish Blush (I normally don't overtake at the end). Not quite as quick as last week, but still better than my recent times Smile.

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Congratulations on completing your 102nd parkrun and your 1st at this parkrun today. You finished in 33rd place and were the 1st female out of a field of 71 parkrunners and you came 1st in your age category.

cinnamongreyhound · 24/01/2015 19:05

Well done Blatherskite, First Lady in 33rd position out of 71 must be unusual.

I love the parkrun stories Grin

Dottymum2 · 24/01/2015 20:43

Hi all, precarious parkrun today little icy underfoot!!!! First time I have run all the way round thou so little personal goal! No PB thou but blaming the ice Grin . Love hearing about everyone's runs!!!!!

MelanieCheeks · 25/01/2015 15:11

1st female! Woooo, well done Blathers!

We had lots of local ice cancellations, so I revisited one I hadn't done for a loooooong time.

Queens, Belfast

Since the last time I'd done it was early in my parkrunning, I easily pb-ed the course this visit. It was a glorious sunny morning, nice crowd, and even Minnie behaved herself well apart from knocking over one of the orange cones

Blatherskite · 26/01/2015 14:32

I just picked a good week to go I think. Last week, first female finished in about 20 minutes whereas I only did mid 26. Looking back through the results, the last time that would have made me first female was last May!

Still, it made me smile that morning :)

cinnamongreyhound · 28/01/2015 21:56

Lost you all Shock

Not going to Wimpole now, will be at home. The lady I was going with said she forgot and when I asked if she still wanted to go never really replied then she offered someone a lift to our canicross club run Saturday so I guess that's my answer. I will leave it now I think until I'm no longer with child and hope the family all come along and we can visit the house as well or have a wander around at the same time or perhaps try meeting some of you guys again :)

Blatherskite · 28/01/2015 22:02

I've been poorly all week. Hoping I'm well enough for a trip to Daventry this weekend.

standingonlego · 28/01/2015 22:10

Fantastic news feet they should get you on this "this girl can" stories :)
