Okay, it's not just 30 Day Shred anymore but if you would like to log your daily JM fix and get some tips and tricks from fellow Shredders, step this way.

Just done 30DS L2D1. Seems very strange at the moment - assume it will feel better once I get a bit more used to the new exercises.

Fuckalella · 10/07/2014 22:22

Sorry to hear that Bimble, hope you're feeling better soon. Wine & takeaway definitely a good move, Jillian can wait a while Smile

Bimble Thanks :(

yadahyadah · 11/07/2014 08:01

BR phase 1 week 2 cardio 1. Am actually going to do a sixth workout tomorrow. I think I am being assimilated into the Borg.

Thanks Bimblepops. Very sorry about your poor cat.

RI30 L2 D5 done. I am definitely not going to do a workout tomorrow. Or on Sunday . I am going to go home from my conference and sleep!

Lambzig · 11/07/2014 11:15

Body Revolution, Phase 1, Week 1, Workout 1 done. I have started (after a tech fail yesterday that DH has fixed). It was gratifyingly doable after a three week break. I swear it's only this thread that has made me get back to it, so thanks everyone for the motivation.

Yadah, it seems that you have assimilated me too as I am a finisher which means now I have done the first one I will have to complete the course. I am wondering whether to do it week by week with as many as I can fit in or whether to do the course (eg workout 1, workout 2, cardio, repeat four times) before moving on. I think the latter is your approach?

Macnab, you were asking above about results, so thought I would share mine. I did 30 DS, followed by RI30 over approx 3 months, mainly 5 times per week with a few weeks only 4 times if life stuff got in the way. Might have managed a six times once. I didn't really diet except for the two week low carb boot camp. I went from a size 14 to a 10 and lost 24cm from my waist (17 of which came off during 30DS), I lost 12cm off my hips and 9cm off each thigh. I have to say though, my post 2CS tummy is still wobbly though and being in my late 40s probably means I won't get Jillian style results, but I do look drastically better.

OwlCapone · 11/07/2014 11:28

Sorry to hear about your cat, Bimble.

I had a day off yesterday due to the teacher's strike and an 8 yr old who wanted "girl time" but I did 30DS L2 again this morning. Whilst certain bits are still hard, my recovery time afterwards is hugely improved!

I got my 5 stone award this week, which was totally undeserved as I had the weekend off my diet as well, lol...so I'm shredding away and planning on mostly eating soup for the next week so it doesn't bite me on the arse this week, lol.

I've got a wedding in a couple of weeks that I really want to be a size 14 for...no real reason other than that was the goal I set myself a few months ago when I got the invitation...I'm currently between a 16 and 14 so it's looking promising :)

OwlCapone · 11/07/2014 11:51

Well done. It's great to have a goal Mine is to fit into my summer clothes by the time I go away (end of July) and not to be a blubbery mess in a bikini!

Lambzig · 11/07/2014 12:09

Well don't tabulah, that's an amazing achievement. You must feel so different.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 11/07/2014 12:21

Yes well done Tabulah, that's an amazing loss!

That's similar to my goal Owl; I want to be able to wear all my "tighter" clothes without lumps and bumps appearing all over the place. I would also love for the first time in my life ever, to be able to wear a sleeveless dress without a cardigan or bolero to cover my upper arms and shoulders. They've always, even when I was a teenager, been wobbly. And actually, I've already noticed a decrease in the bits that squidge out the sides of bra straps etc. I think it's all those rowing moves in L2, they seem to be blasting back fat, which somehow never seems to disappear no matter how much weight I lose. I guess it's in the same way that your thighs can still be really wobbly at a low weight - it's all down to muscle tone. Wish I'd known that when I was younger as I wouldn't have wasted so much energy and time on trying to starve the wobble off!

tabulahrasa · 11/07/2014 12:39

Weirdly I don't feel different at all, lol, I know I'm thinner...but because I'm still fairly big I don't really notice it.

I notice the improvement in my fitness from exercising far more. Though saying that, it is nice to be able to buy clothes from real shops and not plus size ones Blush

I've got nearly 3 stones to go until I'm at the middle of a healthy BMI...I'm hoping once I hit healthy rather than overweight that I will feel more different.

OwlCapone · 11/07/2014 12:58

I am convinced my bingo wings are reduced. TBH, it's enough incentive that I feel so much better.

yadahyadah · 11/07/2014 14:27

Yes Lambzig that is what I thought I would do simply to not have to think about it all too much. I quite like the mindless following of rules when it comes to exercise as the minute I start making choices they sort of go like 'well let's just pretend I have done all of it and will just finish today' kind of thing.ko

OP posts:
Lambzig · 11/07/2014 15:02

Yes that makes sense to me, although if there is a workout I hate, I reserve the right to skive. I feel very good about it being 12 weeks (which might end up being more like 15) as it's nice to have a long term goal rather than a pre-holiday quick fix. I am notorious for doing exercise early spring through to my holiday, then doing nothing much until the next spring. Very exciting to be picking it up again.

I can't quite believe that you can get something free online that would cost £70 to buy the DVDs for.

OublietteBravo · 11/07/2014 18:28

Just done 30DS L2D2. I don't know what I was doing yesterday - today seemed much harder. I'm a horrible sweaty mess at the moment, so I'd better go and shower before DH gets home.

Fuckalella · 11/07/2014 18:56

Tabulah that's an amazing loss, well done!

I'm checking in but not shredding today, drinking champagne and eating Chinese to celebrate graduating (only 12 years late!) Smile

Chococroc · 11/07/2014 19:49

30DS L2 D5 done this evening, I much prefer my early morning workouts but had no time today.

I'm now on day 15 in total, halfway point!

yadahyadah · 11/07/2014 21:05

I know re the free access to the program. I keep wondering if two thirds of the way through vimeo's copyright software will nuke the videos and then we'll have to make it up - from memory - strangely forgetting all manner of duck walk and crow push up-style evil ...

OP posts:
Bimblepops · 11/07/2014 22:09

Evening all,

Happy graduation, Fuckalella and congratulations Tabulah, that's a great achievement!

Back Shredding this evening and I'll admit I found it a teeny little bit exhausting. Glad I did it though.

So that's 30DSL2D11 done. Which is day 6 of level 2. Off on holiday next Friday and would like to have a less wobbly stomach (but equally am nit expecting a miracle!).

Catabelle · 12/07/2014 07:05

Hi guys, I've done the 30DS before with great results and really want to get started on it again after having had my second baby 3 months ago, but I'm unsure if I have diastasis. With my first baby I remember being checked for it by the doctor but haven't been checked this time and don't want to be doing the wrong exercises and making things worse. Does anyone know how I would check this myself? I'm desperate to try and start doing some exercise. I left if ages after having my first baby and want to get started earlier this time as I miss it (if I can find the time!) Any help greatly appreciated.

yadahyadah · 12/07/2014 10:18

BR phase 1 week 2 workout 2 done. lambzig we need resistance cords for this. Any ideas of what and from where? I think I may just order a medium one for now. Used my weights for the row move this week and it felt fine.

yadahyadah · 12/07/2014 12:25

here you go catabelle. This should enable you to work out your postpartum state. Good luck with it all.

30DS L2 Day 6 done! I see to be finding the exercises a little easier to guess I'm doing something right.....

Catabelle · 12/07/2014 12:49

Thanks for the link yadahyadah, that's really useful. Will get checking later.
