The end of January (this year) till beginning of June and now I just want to maintain

jollyjester · 24/06/2014 21:32

I found my way here from chat.

Ive just done my first day level one! Im carrying Christmas weight and just want to tone my baby belly (baby is nearly 3!!)

I found it tough enough, I'm wondering if I'll be able to walk tomorrow! !

Im terrible at sticking to things so fingers crossed for me please!

IdkickJilliansAss · 24/06/2014 21:35

Well done Jolly Smile

ImogenQuy · 24/06/2014 21:43

Well done Jolly. I've found being on this thread and its predecessor have really helped with motivation: I hate exercise (boy do I hate exercise!) and I'd probably have jacked the Shred in half way through if I hadn't been able to come here and moan express my views about JM's expectations that I'll use muscles I haven't got.

ImogenQuy · 25/06/2014 07:06

RI30 L1D2. Groan. I fell over my feet less than yesterday, I suppose. I hate that exercise where you sort of vibrate from foot to foot - I can feel every inch of my blancmange-y body wobbling.

OublietteBravo · 25/06/2014 09:04

Hi jollyjester I did my first day on level one yesterday too (although I've been doing some exercise for the past 3 weeks, so it wasn't quite from a standing start).

How are you feeling today? My arms hurt more than my legs - which surprises me a bit.

BustleInYourHedgerow · 25/06/2014 09:05

imogen - I can feel flobberdy bits flying during that one too. Grin Grin

jolly- come on you can do it!

jollyjester · 25/06/2014 10:04

Owww! My arms! Its gonna take a lot of willpower later! I've made hubby promise to let me have the living room to myself for the duration each evening with the blinds closed to get on with it!

Are you still doing other exercise along side the shred Bravo?

I might go for a walk later to loosen myself up.

Did anyone else take pictures before, during and after. I keep googling but I'm not convinced that those before and after could be me!

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 25/06/2014 10:13

Hi can I join? I started doing the shred via youtube 3 days ago after that thread in chat. Days one and two hurt but yesterday was easier and I actually managed not to thud boob first onto the floor when doing the modified push ups!

jollyjester · 25/06/2014 10:19

shadows that's why I started too! So by day 3 it'll get easier?

I don't have proper weights just using water bottles but I'm getting some later today.

OublietteBravo · 25/06/2014 10:32

jollyjester I'm going to try and keep swimming a couple of times a week as well as doing the shred - mainly because I enjoy it unless the really slow swimmers are hogging the 'medium lane' and also because DH will re-claim those evenings for his activities if I don't.

(I did some running as a temporary measure once per week - but only because it was the only way to get between dropping DS at football and collecting DD from athletics without a car. I don't plan to keep going now althletics has stopped - exercising outside really triggers my hayfever at this time of year which is deeply unpleasant).

yadahyadah · 25/06/2014 10:33

Well I felt all coldy and miserable this morning so after the school drop off I did kick box fast fix and it was good but felt a bit meh after Ri30. So then I found a 30min body revolution workout also by JM and did that and now feel better. The BR cardio workouts are about 35 mins long in total so I may do those before school over the next few days. Welcome to all the newcomers. My advice is take before pics even if you don't look at them because 30 or 60 days into the groove of exercising every day or near enough and you will have sensed enough positive change to wish you had taken the bloody before pics. I know I do.

I think it gets easier faster if you push yourself more. I was actually falling down when she said "on the floor for ABs", and could barely walk the next day. But yesterday I was leaping along to the cardio bits. It still hurts and is still hard but just not "I can't stand up" hard! I haven't bought any weights. I'm using bottles of poster paints which seem heavy enough to challenge me without being too heavy. Am hoping to find other handy household objects to use as I progress to avoid spending money Grin

AnyaKnowIt · 25/06/2014 11:55

RI30L1D5 and RI30L2D1 done.

Hello to all the newcomers

Chococroc · 25/06/2014 13:31

I started 30 Day Shred this morning, quite proud of myself for doing it before 7am!
I found it quite tough, , but did it. No aches or pains yet, although my calves and upper arms feel tight so I reckon I'm going to feel it tomorrow....

IdkickJilliansAss · 25/06/2014 13:44

I agree with Yadah back in January I weighed myself at circuit class but felt too ashamed to get measured but wish i did ditto with taking pics

BetterWithCheese · 25/06/2014 13:57

Ooh, welcome to all the newcomers!! Glad you've found us. I used to log on and post that I'd done my workout as soon as I'd finished - it really kept me motivated.

Ri30 L2D3, quite sore today, especially the front of my arms. I'm still finding some of the moves very hard to do properly. What did you think Anya? By the way, I am really impressed with your hardcoreness of two levels a day Shock

AnyaKnowIt · 25/06/2014 14:08

Still can't do the button up on my jeans Angry

I enjoyed level 2.

jocastafantastica · 25/06/2014 14:26

Hi to all newcomers, I have taken pics (top tip - remember they are on your phone before showing work colleagues your holiday photos.....!)
Skived off this morning as was soooo tired, it should be day 2 of level 2 30ds for me, my stomach muscles ache like buggery from yesterday though. But I am planning to do it this evening.....watch this space.

yadahyadah · 25/06/2014 14:43

I agree shadows if you force yourself to stagger through those first few routines you are primed to feel yourself improving in the moves as your body strengthens.

Finally managed to do day 1 of level 1 shred. Not as bad as i thought. Although only managed to do till 20 mins when dd decided that every time it was the abs workouts that she would climb on top of me. Think will need to do it in the evenings instead! I just feel better doing exercise first thing and given dd wakes up at 5 am every morning can actually do it before work!

ddas · 25/06/2014 15:49

Good idea to log on every day to keep motivated

AnyaKnowIt · 25/06/2014 16:17

Yy to log in everyday

BustleInYourHedgerow · 25/06/2014 16:35

Jolly -,I took before pictures. They don't look great but they motivate me. I have some pics I took in March as well and I've lost 8kg between then and now and looking at them keeps me going!

Fast choco for shredding before 7... I got up at 6 but didn't get motivated enough until 10 to do TO30...
DDAS know the f.feeling with 'helpers' I bribe mine with raisins and peppa pig now to try and get it done??

Anya my head in melted at the thought of doing two RI30's, well done!

So I did *RI30 L1 D2 today, not too bad, the backs of my thighs are sore form yesterday but got through it ok. Cannot for the life of me do anterior raises or the jump lift knee thing after them but that is down to being very uncoordinated. I jneed to practice them on a rest day I think.

Oh and cycling to and from work today, only 6k each way (but pretty hilly) as DH has car .

IdkickJilliansAss · 25/06/2014 16:46

Ri30 levels 3&4 done Smile
