pennygallops, that is an interesting idea, I have those on my snow boots. Do let me know how your ds gets on.
makemealarge, download the NHS pod to 5k, out your trainers on and go for it. It is very gradual and very doable. Good luck! I was never a natural runner neither, but I am getting there!
jchocchips, wahey for the running trousers! I keep looking at them longingly, but I am VERY pear shaped, so want to lose some more weight first. I have running tops, but can't quite get my fat arse in bottoms yet!
well done 5madthings - that is exactly what happened to me on week 5, though I didn't quite go that far! Hope you enjoyed those maltesers.
The meeting with the HT didn't go particularly well, as I kind of anticipated ds1 can't go on the residential trip (his is disabled, long story) but I went out after and ran 7kms
I really didn't feel like it, but pushed myself out the door, and really enjoyed it once I was out there. I def want to work up to 10k. It was through the woods, so not particularly fast, but a lovely cross country run. And I burned 850 cals!
