Oh Driving, thinking of you and your DP - will keep fingers crossed for Friday. Maybe you can possibly squeeze in a short run just for your own sanity and to get a bit of head space. We are all here if you do want to talk.x
Pavlov, was also wondering whether you might be anaemic - I often find that when I increase the amount of exercise my iron levels drop (have been turned down giving blood a couple of times for this reason).
DrNo, you sound incredibly fit now, you definitely should go up a group!
Wheely, are you going to put your half marathon on the list to make it official? If you PM me your details I could try and find you, or I'll send you a link (if that works?)
Squix, impressed you've been out running already! I walked the boys to school today and it was good to be moving but I'm not sure I could manage a run yet. Going downstairs (and sitting on the loo) are still problematic.
Moshi, have just googled the bosu ball and I'm not sure I'd ever be able to do even 1 single leg squat on it. Have they given you an approximate recovery time?
I'm planning on going to see my physio for a check up to see what damage (if any) I've done to my old legs - still got a sore thigh but I'm not sure how much of it is just stiffness after Sunday.
Have signed up for the Bradford half in October - DrNo once you've done the one in June let me know if you fancy another one.
June, I had some running shorts with a pocket in the back but you can't put much in it as the weight pulls them down. For longer runs I use a belt, and for short ones I fasten my front door key to my shoe laces and just take a small water bottle (and beloved Garmin of course).
Master, that does look absolutely amazing! Also reassuring to know that a helicopter is there to provide emergency medical evacuations from the course...
