This.

Why are Labour so obsessed with him?

And if he is the clown that some here assert, why do Labour consider him such a threat?

Tbf, every party seems pretty obsessed with him. As does the media.

I can’t offer an answer I’m afraid because I just don’t understand the appeal myself.

Cattenberg · 30/09/2025 13:12

Is it possible to discuss Farage and Reform without someone saying "yeah, but Labour" every other post? If you want to share all the reasons you hate Keir Starmer or Labour in general, then why don't you start your own thread?

DuncinToffee · 30/09/2025 13:27

Farage's Reform are embracing anti vax and anti abortion 'experts'

FallingIntoAutumn · 30/09/2025 13:28

He’s an odious cunt whose photo makes my skin crawl.

1one · 30/09/2025 15:15

He's a good orator and talks to the normal man/woman in the street who are listening. The British public are fed up and Labour are flip-flopping all over the place, but one thing is for sure, he's got the socialists knickers in a twist. You can sense the desperation.

It's like the old saying: first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. Recently it was laughing at him, now they are fighting hard.

Like Trump?

You won't be laughing when your rights are being eroded.

But maybe you are a rich white male.

But maybe you are a rich white male.

Hey just my opinion but for clarity, I'm a woman - born and bred in England.

Then you do well to pay attention to what he actually says, he and his party are not exactly pro women.

If Reform are so utterly repellent - why are they polling so well?

Curious to hear your perspective, given your strong views on them.

People are easily fooled by cheap words.

Cattenberg · 30/09/2025 16:10

... and easy solutions to complex problems.

SaladCreamLover · 30/09/2025 16:14

He's very popular.

And despite the hand-wringing and moaning, Labour et al seem to be doing bugger all to prevent him becoming the next PM.

People are fed up and want ‘a change’. The conservatives and Labour Party are distinctly lacklustre, but a lot of the problems are simply beyond easy fixing. Afaik a lot of people voted for brexit because they wanted a change but regret it now… not many of the changes which ensued were positive. Maybe it could have been handled better but Farage didn’t really contribute any useful solutions to deal with the (entirely predictable) problems. Of course there’s plenty of blame to be shared around over that - Cameron’s hubris in assuming the vote would be won by Remain and therefore not defining wtf an exit vote would actually mean or making any plans, Boris bloody Johnson, Labour being generally useless …

‘change’ … be careful what you wish for.

DuncinToffee · 30/09/2025 16:20

Farage's brexit boats, he apparently can stop them within a week.

And then back peddled and said it would be a week after legislation was passed but couldn't say how long that would take, so in reality it could be years.

But that doesn't make the headlines.

What policies do Reform have - how will they implement them and cost them?

In an alternate universe, you will get a considered, intelligent reply. Just not this one 😆

Wolmando · 30/09/2025 17:03

People on here are obsessed with him, I may vote for his party myself but there is certainly an unhealthy obsession on here and in certain parties

Well, it's hard to get away from him as he is on telly/media nearly every day.

What attracts you to Reform?

rockstarshoes · 30/09/2025 17:20

Snake oil salesman!

I will be voting to get this Labour Party out so that will be Reform or Conservative in my constituency, since the Tories don't seem to be getting their act together it will likely be Reform but it is 4 years. I shall be interested to see if the Tory party conference bangs on about NF as much as the Labour and Lib Dem's did.

I wanted the Tories out at the last election but would never have voted Reform to do so.

You must agree with some of their policies at least? Which one(s)?
