The media damage labour. Momentum have nothing to do with it.

And centrist Labour MP's who didnt want to have to be accountable to their CLP happy to be briefing against their own party and fuelled the 'momentum deselection' bullshit, because it never happened but the fear they stoked did what they wanted it to do

Stinkyeddie · 12/12/2019 21:42

I think seamus milne is a very dangerous man

placemats · 12/12/2019 21:42

I know tobee this time tomorrow night though.

Redwinestillfine · 12/12/2019 21:43

I feel excited and sick at the same time!

TiddleTaddleTat · 12/12/2019 21:43

I managed a nap of about 40 minutes. Then was woken by a bloody Lib Dem canvasser at the door. Argh!!

tobee · 12/12/2019 21:44

I just need a wee. Constantly BlushHmmGrin

NoCryingInEngineering · 12/12/2019 21:45

I'm feeling very gloomy. Have voted (pointlessly) against our ERG headbanger. DPs have voted SNP for the first time ever...

TheMShip · 12/12/2019 21:46

Just popping in to say hi. Not optimistic, and I'm not staying up past the exit poll. But there's lots left to fight for, this is not the end of the line for everything.

Wheresthebeach · 12/12/2019 21:46

Bugger...reading this thread makes me feel that I may have spent too much time on Twitter today reading about YouthQuake. Got me hopes up!

yolofish · 12/12/2019 21:47

12 minutes to go...

pinboard · 12/12/2019 21:47

I'm staying up till exit poll (will try to stay up for Sunderland at 11)
Then going to bed. And trying to sleep and not have mad dreams
Then setting alarm for 4am, I think?

How many of you are pushing on through?

gnomeisland · 12/12/2019 21:47

Discussions with students at uni today all going out in force to tactically vote either here or at home, holding noses in many instances. Not encountered that before.
But sleepy town was heaving tonight centered around polling stations. Reminiscent of EU election night.
Turned out it's very Brexity in these parts

Hazardexhausted · 12/12/2019 21:48

never trusted non brum midlanders. They don't even have a chocolate factory. They wouldn't know Europe's largest marks and spencers if they walked into one. Chocolate deprivation and lack of Christmas pjs has made them vote Tory.

joking

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 21:48

Feeling really sick now. And my ds with a chronic health condition (that the insanely stretched NHS is failing us with) has taken a turn for the worst. Sad

LockThatFridge · 12/12/2019 21:48

tobee me too but it might be the wine.
I’m feeling a strong sense of impending doom now.

tobee · 12/12/2019 21:48

Probably staying up. Maybe crying in a corner.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/12/2019 21:48

I'm totally resigned to Tory majority. I'll take time off Politics til after the Christmas hols then focus again.
We have to learn how to fight against disinformation. We need to be cleverer.

TiddleTaddleTat · 12/12/2019 21:48

I'm going to try and push through, depends on exit poll results. Either way I won't be able to sleep through rage/excitement/despair

tobee · 12/12/2019 21:49

Mostly scared of hearing the word landslide to be honest

OublietteBravo · 12/12/2019 21:50

10 minutes left...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/12/2019 21:50

My plan is to watch the exit polls, then get into my pjs, stoke up the fire and make a nest on the sofa. I'll just do what my body says at that point.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 12/12/2019 21:51

Also suspect tory majority.

53rdWay · 12/12/2019 21:51

I'm staying up for the exit polls and then going to bed soon afterwards, but the baby is currently waking up 20941 times a night so I'll be able to keep a weary tearful eye on results I'm sure.

BercowsFestiveFlamingo · 12/12/2019 21:51

I'm too tired to stay awake much longer but have no doubt that I'll wake in the night to check what's happening. Hazel grove predicted to be a Tory hold. Fuckers.

sunglasses123 · 12/12/2019 21:52

Most of us will be here for the all-nighters...expecting some shock seat loses. I want a Conservative majority but am also panicking.....
