6% I think.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/12/2019 21:52

So far, the only male person I have encountered in a female-sex-specified lavatory in a premises open to the public was the local UKIP candidate, and he was utterly mortified, apologised profusely and said he'd been directed to use it by a member of the school staff but wouldn't have done so if he had realised there was a woman already in there. Poor man.

Piggywaspushed · 04/12/2019 21:55

I went into the men's toilets at the Haribo shop in Uzes in France by accident once. I won't be doing that again...

colouringinpro · 04/12/2019 21:57

Hugh in South Woodford tonight trying to unseat IDS Xmas Grin

thecatfromjapan · 04/12/2019 21:58

Wow!!

He's busy!

colouringinpro · 04/12/2019 21:58

Ill here too, totally flattened for the last couple of days Crown Sad

thecatfromjapan · 04/12/2019 22:00

And it's so good because one of the issues is getting through to people that their area is a key tactical seat - and who to vote for.

This is amazingly effective.

Well done Hugh.

chomalungma · 04/12/2019 22:00

It's weird in that poll how all the parties are down by 1%.

thecatfromjapan · 04/12/2019 22:01

BrewThat's lemsip, Colouringinpro

chomalungma · 04/12/2019 22:03

This is amazingly effective

It looks like the tactical voting sites have all settled down on a constituency near me.

Outsomnia · 04/12/2019 22:09

Tories will win.

That has got nothing to do with Brexit,. The Labour Party do not want to win IMO.

In fairness why would anyone of whatever hue want to lead us into Brexit anyway. So maybe Labour see the writing on the wall, just surmising here,

UK politics is fkd anyway. What a debacle. FPTP needs to be changed

KeithPartridge · 04/12/2019 22:14

Bullshit Out. You are extremely negative. The Tories are NOT going to win.

Dusty01 · 04/12/2019 22:15

Why do you think this Outsomnia? What makes you believe so strongly that the Tories will win?

tobee · 04/12/2019 22:18

We had another LibDem leaflet. Again saying "Labour are out of the race". Despite them putting in a lot of effort last ge and coming a very poor 3rd. Are they still going on the eu elections?

tobee · 04/12/2019 22:18

*coming a very poor third behind second place Labour.

chomalungma · 04/12/2019 22:22

I have still had nothing from the Conservatives, Lib Dems or the Brexit party. I am a bit disappointed as I really wanted a discussion with one of them.

Piggywaspushed · 04/12/2019 22:23

I have had leaflets from the Big Three but no doorstep chit chat: all postal deliveries.

thecatfromjapan · 04/12/2019 22:24

I no longer know how it's going in your bit of London, tobee.

Peregrina · 04/12/2019 22:37

In fairness why would anyone of whatever hue want to lead us into Brexit anyway. So maybe Labour see the writing on the wall, just surmising here,

But it's what else the Tories damage in the process: education, NHS, housing, secure decently paid work. You name it. My only hope is that they destroy themselves in the process, because they have nothing to offer the majority of people under 45.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/12/2019 22:43

Outsomnia
The Labour Party do not want to win IMO.

I can promise you that the three Labour candidates I have met all do very much want to win the seats they are contesting, and that all the many people I have met in the local Labour office similarly want to win; they've been out in all the weather we've had for the past ten days canvassing and leafleting and engaging strangers in conversation and manning a stall in the centre of town, and while they would settle for a hung parliament or a minority government, what they all very much want is a Labour victory large enough to stop the Tories from taking us all over a cliff.

Whether they are typical of the party as a whole who knows; but Labour candidates mostly seem keen on the idea of gaining or retaining their seats in parliament.

And of course, if the country is given another referendum after six months there is no guarantee that the Labour party will have to do anything at all about leading anyone into Brexit.

Peregrina · 04/12/2019 22:47

And of course, if the country is given another referendum after six months there is no guarantee that the Labour party will have to do anything at all about leading anyone into Brexit.

All I can say to this is My God, if they do, let us hope that they make some strict rules about false advertising, and put a threshold in. Then let us hope that whoever is PM has enough gumption to keep his or her mouth shut, and not make any silly promises about implementing the results.

Outsomnia · 04/12/2019 22:48

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime

I understand what you say. But still on a nationwide basis, it might be preferable now to allow the Tories to run Brexit. And reap the rewards.Hmmm.

ArseDarkly · 04/12/2019 22:49

Creeepy creeeepy creeping up on YOU!! Shock

RedToothBrush · 04/12/2019 22:57

The LD expenses for my constituency are going to be interesting.

Guess what I got in the post this morning...

... No I'm not joking. Up to 26 now.

Do you think all the leaflets will win it for them?
