Dominic Cummings pictured inside Nato summit despite No10 saying he resigned from government for the election

Had another YouGov constituency level survey. It asked about voting history, income, type of job, education, charity donations, what papers I read etc. Wonder if this is for another MRP. It also asked about how I would vote if it was a v tight race between conservative and labour (which is true of my constituency).

Coppersulphate · 04/12/2019 13:47

Well I have complained to the BBC for being very clearly anti Brexit and pro Labour.
Andrew Marr was shouting at Boris and not giving him time to answer the questions.

mybrainhurtsalot · 04/12/2019 13:50

Interestingly in one part of the survey there was a question that seemed designed to check if you’re a real person and/or paying attention. The question told me what answer to select from a list.

QueenMabby · 04/12/2019 13:50

I’m so excited! I’ve just had a Tory leaflet from our prospective MP - addressed to ME!! First time ever. Now I can legitimately annotate it with facts and my disagreements and post it back to them! DH never lets me post back the ones addressed to him although I do scrawl over them in red pen. ☺️

DGRossetti · 04/12/2019 13:54

Well I have complained to the BBC for being very clearly anti Brexit and pro Labour.

Well my view FWIW is the exact opposite. Happy to run with the flimsiest of pro-Brexit stories with nary a fact check, but grill any Remainers until they're crispy. Plus the soft soaping Boris has got compared to all the other party leaders.

Either way, the biggest victim is the BBC. As Murdoch intended all those years ago. They'll just end up as another mediocre content provider in between ABC and CBS on the dial.

They even lost their nerd-tech foo somewhere in the process, plugging the ever-execrable DAB rather than admitting a case of firstitis, and getting with the programme (every pun intended) ...

Alsohuman · 04/12/2019 13:56

And I have complained to them about Jo Coburn’s disgraceful performance on Politics Live yesterday when she, not only shouted Andy McDonald down, but accused him of “Making it up”. There was a stunned silence before he mildly said “Jo, you’ve crossed a line”. I hope she’s sacked.

DGRossetti · 04/12/2019 13:56

They've been doing that for a while. There's another where you see one picture but hear another sound and need to identify both which they used to use to check you had your speakers on but which doubles as a CAPTCHA too.

mybrainhurtsalot · 04/12/2019 13:58

Oh yes, I’ve had those too.

ArseDarkly · 04/12/2019 14:01

Andrew Marr was shouting at Boris and we couldn't hear Boris lying properly.

Corporate media are attacking Corbyn for not watching Queen’s Speech on Xmas Day

Jesus Christ they're scraping the bottom of the barrel - they must be really desperate. The only people who would possibly care about that would be dyed in the wool, red in the face, squire of the manor, shire dwelling tories.

Literally. no. one.else.cares.

I have never purposefully watched the Queen's speech - so why on earth would Jeremy Corbyn not watching it bother me?

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/12/2019 14:07

Well how very unpatriotic of you pretzels Grin

You couldnt make me watch it if you stapled my eyes open and nailed them to the tv

dreichXmas · 04/12/2019 14:09

I have also never watched the Queen's speech.
I don't think I actually know anybody who has.
We were never allowed tv on Xmas day and still don't really have it unless MIL is staying (she likes game shows).

TokyoSushi · 04/12/2019 14:14

No Queen's speech for me either. Not actively avoided, just not actively watched either - much to my Mother's horror!

HesterThrale · 04/12/2019 14:18

My MP doesn’t even score in the top 640 in that index! Shocking. And yet it’s a safe seat.

Greykitten · 04/12/2019 14:21

I don't think I've ever watched the Queen's speech and I'm 55. Good for Corbyn if he was doing something more useful.

The British media is a pathetic spectacle.

Greykitten · 04/12/2019 14:26

There are some really angry ploppers around this week.

You're winning, guys Grin. You don't need to pop in to stamp your foot and scream "NOT FAIR" just because someone has asked the prime minister a tricky question, or because a man who once shagged a black woman is telling people not to vote conservative.

tobee · 04/12/2019 14:29

Saw this just now (apologies if already linked). What people have been saying on here ages innit?

Still doesn't seem to bother people though Hmm:-

tobee · 04/12/2019 14:31

Grey they seem to like to come over here in a coordinated movement. Which is interesting.
🤔

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/12/2019 14:36

Strange isnt it the victimhood f being a winner, we all know the Tories are going to get a landslide and then they will 'get brexit done' and we can all live happily ever after on the sunlit uplands but that seems to get them riled up about how right they were Hmm

Trump cancels news conference at NATO summit

tobee · 04/12/2019 14:41

But Just we are the deniers of the cult!

Greykitten · 04/12/2019 14:44

This is good as a Brexit explainer. "The U.K. becomes the only country in the world where export papers are required to transport goods within its own territory".

What a shambles Britain has become. And the worst is yet to come.
