Quite coincidentally I too have been in negotiations today regarding the pubs licence and it's good news here as well, a deal has been agreed!!

There were no amendments or legal objections put forward so a shiny new licence has been issued and normal service can be resumed Smile

Same rules apply.

Now let's hope Saturday's proceedings can go ahead without the usual dicking around and that what has been nigh on impossible during the last 3 years, a majority, can be achieved otherwise I feel we are off to hell in a handcart!

First drink is on the house 🍻🍷🍻🍷Cheers

Starmer has said Labour will table amendments for customs union & 2nd ref

If they get voted through by anti-brexit coalition then it will mean we have to go back to EU to ask them to open up the WA again & change it 🙄🙄

As expected, any extension will be used to dick around as much as possible.

Letwin may have had good intentions but the effect was entirely as expected.

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 09:58

😂

Like the salute

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 10:01

The idiot Gove has said the UK is definitely leaving on 31 October. It’s as pathetic as Boris in a ditch comment.

I just watched him - he didn't say that at all in the way you're presenting it

He said there is no guarantee that EU will grant extension so he is stepping up no deal prep in case of 31st exit with no deal (sensible)

And also that it is still possible that we could be leaving on 31st with a deal if everything gets through Parliament

He also said "we must leave on 31st" not "will leave"

Well I think we know that's going to be met with an emphatic EU f**k off.

Why are these MPs so shortsighted/completely lacking in awareness, it's painful to watch.

On a complete tangent: cmon Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏈🏈!!

Dusty - the EU will take steps to avoid a no deal. It’s a disaster for the UK and also for the remaining EU members, particularly Ireland. No one is going to risk a no deal. The UK couldn’t cope with the fallout

54321go · 20/10/2019 10:07

The Wa would not need reopening as provisions were made to vary the impact of various sections which would be done via the PD. Mr Barnier's staircase diagram holds templates for various options which the UK could aim for, if the UK ever decides what it wants, which does not mean it gets the drinks cabinet and nibbles. NO cherrypicking.

XXcstatic · 20/10/2019 10:26

He asks for investigation on how it's come to an elite choosing to ignore a result because they choose too.

It was an advisory referendum.

Just curating my credentials for Miljah Hmm

54321 what you say is true which is why the amendment is not needed. Pass the WA as is and fight the election on PD Keir.

Keir also admitting PV would take 6 months. Opening WA would take longer still.

My eldest is a very happy dragon at the moment 😂

yellowallpaper · 20/10/2019 10:31

Omg Wales won by 1 point! Didn't see the game as Brexit mad DH watching all the news shit!

Sunnyuplands · 20/10/2019 10:34

Dusty I totally agree re letwin.

His constituents are furious with him.
Any single delay is another hammer blow agaisnt leaving.
I'm aghast at Farage too.
I'm no expert here and have not read the new deal but everything they refer too is merely in the withdrawal process. Its not locking us permanently into anything.

Any chink that Remainers can claw into to extend the process and stop us leaving will be maximised.

There is no luxury for pleasantly humming, idly considering things.
That has been snatched, robbed from us by anti democratic mps...

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 20/10/2019 10:37

Me & dh watching the rugby dusty, great game! come on Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 10:39

I think Farage is as equally blinkered as the anti-brexit lot tbh Sunny

They seem oblivious to how they're actually being perceived

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 10:42

Will be ace if there's an England/Wales match either Final or 3rd/4th - that's when we split in our house 😂

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 10:45

Just curating my credentials for Miljah Hmm

I wouldn't worry about it Howabout - it's only me that's 'beneath contempt' apparently...

GreenishMe · 20/10/2019 10:45

The Much More Important People's Vote seems to be edging closer.

I stupidly thought the "people" had voted in 2016 and even more stupidly thought democracy was the cornerstone of our society (silly rabbit Smile). This could turn out to be a far bigger issue than simply leaving the EU I think.

howabout · 20/10/2019 10:51

Och you're in good company with Ronnie Campbell Dusty. Smile

howabout · 20/10/2019 10:56

DH and I can never get too wrapped up in rugby. He's English / French and I'm Scottish.

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 11:02

I'm Scottish/English, kids' dad is Welsh, they were born in Scotland 😂

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 11:04

Did you read the article about Ronnie's horse fetish?! 😳😂

He said: ‘Oh my God almighty! I thought a fetish was a worry, like worrying about backing the right horse.’

Wear purple and #prayforSally Grin

Wonder what Labour will do IF Keir's Customs Union and PV amendments pass? 1) If they vote for the Deal subject to their amendments it becomes ALL their fault cos the ERG will back off and LibDems / SNP etc will still vote against. 2) If they still vote against the Deal then we get back to No Deal versus Revoke.

Keir may in fact be worse than Letwin. Shock

DustyDiamond · 20/10/2019 11:32

I cannot stomach Kier - there's much about him that makes me clench

See Diane Abbott was having a kip whilst he was droning on yesterday!

54321go · 20/10/2019 11:42

at some point, a representative of the UK government is going to have to sit down and sift through all the legislation that currently binds the UK with the EU. The contents of which are very close to the 585 pages of the WA. This will take years to do and it presupposes the UK government knows what it wants. ALL the rest is just dicking around and spouting crap. Until this happens, no trade deals with anyone can be negotiated and the idea of 'just using WTO rules' is total bollocks when you realise what it will do to the UK economy and the fact that until proper negotiations are conducted it will be total meyhem.
OUT is not a destination, the UK has to decide where it is going and negotiate for it.
The UK collectively has no idea what the hell it is doing. Pissing off all the other countries that the UK will have to negotiate with is not a great start.
Punching the shopkeeper in the face is not a good strategy for getting a good deal.

Snowy111 · 20/10/2019 12:00

54321 you talk a lot of sense
