Dominic Cummings informed that labour MP that he could stop the death threats by voting for brexit. Nice.

Cummings was quite nice actually, I agree.

Faced with an agitated, finger-jabbing tirade he was extremely calm.

Nice to see.

jasjas1973 · 26/09/2019 19:15

Gotta love the whataboutery

Brand is a comedian on a satirical show, who made a joke and made it clear it was a joke, subsequently apologised.

Nazi party were not "national socialists" anyone making this inference is very ignorant.

So, Johnson and Cummings are stating that If you want to stay safe, vote for me!
An interesting remake of an election slogan.

Johnson should have apologised, just as Jess Phillips has, he wont because it is part of his plan, which is the long game, alienate the voters against HoC's and then get voted back in the forthcoming GE.

I now believe he will defy the Benn act, to the cheers of many including on here.

frumpety · 26/09/2019 19:29

So this Brexit that the Elitist lefty establishment are trying to stop /delay , what does it look like ? What does Brexit look like to you Imnot , you are clearly dead keen on it so must be able to describe it ?

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 19:32

Johnson should have apologised

He has nothing to apologise for.

The opposition parties wanted him to come back cowed & apologetic yesterday & spent lead up crowing about how they would humiliate him. They expected him to be just like TM was when faced with a barrage of their abuse - to take it like a verbal punchbag and not react.

When they didn't get what they wanted & expected they worked themselves into a frenzy & descended into tantrums.

Bringing up Jo Cox's murder was their last cynical play to shut him down.
The MP with the brown hair (Paula Sherrif?) who was raging at him about Jo Cox was reading off written notes for goodness sake.

Imnotthrowingawaymyshot · 26/09/2019 19:40

Dusty, it's OK when so called left say they want to

Stab, someone in the front,

Decapitate a tory

Throw battery acid over Farage

And (there's a long list) of other stuff from the party of sweetness... And moral badge wearing

Dusty all of that pales into insignificance when Boris Johnson says.. Surrender bill.

Naughty naughty man!!

jasjas1973 · 26/09/2019 19:57

Well, Dusty it is that attitude that has put us where we are now, Brand & Phillips apologised even though they have not been found guilty of anything at all.

Johnson saw the distress his language caused but didn't care, indeed thrived on it.

In the cool light of day, he could have been more conciliatory.

What will happen now is the UK will get a hard right con/bxp/dup govt and no-deal OR a Lab/Snp/Ld one who will revoke as the price of support.

Any PM should be governing for the whole country not just one POV.

bellinisurge · 26/09/2019 19:59

"Weren’t remainers cheering on Jo Brand when she said battery acid should have been thrown at Nigel Farage instead of milkshake. "
No. Don't be so childish. It was a revolting thing for her to say.

jasjas1973 · 26/09/2019 20:04

The MP killed was a remainer, killed by a far right brexitier.

Far right terror groups are on the rise, out numbering even Islamic ones.

The use of hate language and attacks are on the increase.

Given this background the PM should be aware of his language unless you want more deaths to get the brexit you so desire?

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:17

Brand & Phillips apologised even though they have not been found guilty of anything at all.

What has BJ been 'found guilty' of?

jasjas1973 · 26/09/2019 20:31

Jeez Dusty...you are hard work! where did i say he was?

I was pointing out that these two apologised, though unlike either of those two, he has been found to have acted unlawfully.

When did that last happen to a UK PM ?

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:31

I am not going to be drawn in to an argument about Jo Cox.
The poor woman was murdered - stop using her murder to score points.
It is exactly what that MP did last night.

Back to the facts:
The language BJ used which is 'beyond the pale' apparently was 'surrender treaty'
He has said nothing which can be remotely conceived of as inciting violence no matter how vehemently you wish that to be the case.

Imnotthrowingawaymyshot · 26/09/2019 20:38

Agree dusty. When I heard the outrage this morning I thought bj had dragged Jo Cox into it and I was mortified. But then it became clear Boris didn't actually mention her Hmm.

Jasjas your as snakey and slippery as they come. I can't believe a word you say and with every post, I feel more that the left has sunk very low (I used to be a swing voter) and quite mad hatter alternative reality.

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:40

he has been found to have acted unlawfully.

No he hasn't.

The prorogation was ultimately ruled to have been unlawful

BJ acted on the legal advice he was given at the time which was that it was not unlawful

Should he (or anyone) in future attempt similar, they would be obvs be acting unlawfully as the Supreme Court ruling has given legal clarity to what was previously a grey area

bellinisurge · 26/09/2019 20:44

There's approval and there is slavish devotion. Be it Corbyn or Johnson, you are all presumably adult women. Ask yourself if slavishly devotion is deserved by either of them. They are both Leavers. Only one is a Leaver out of genuine political belief in the idea. The other is just out for himself.

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:47

S'ok - here's our Jezza to score cheap points using Jo Cox, to slag off BJ

twitter.com/paulmasonnews/status/1177299146241392640?s=21

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:51

No slavish devotion from me Bellini

I just can't stomach the duplicity of & faux outrage/dismay being churned out

I want Brexit, I want a GE to get rid of this current shitpit of a Parliament & I want politics to go back to normal - arguing about & sorting out the hundreds of other things that matter

jasjas1973 · 26/09/2019 20:51

I am not going to be drawn in to an argument about Jo Cox

Of course you won't because it means facing some unpalatable truths doesn't it? Brexit and the far right go hand in hand.

Then getting all precious about the SC court judgement :( who ordered the prorogation? and who won't release the legal advice? oh yes your far right chum Johnson! if indeed it was even sought.

DeDoRonRon · 26/09/2019 20:52

You're clearly not a lawyer Dusty!
I find your posts puzzling. Is this all bravado and bluster? Not sure what you're trying to achieve really... I mean we all saw what happened on the TV so...

DustyDiamond · 26/09/2019 20:59

🙄

Doubletrouble99 · 26/09/2019 21:07

I'm a conservative member who didn't vote for BJ in the leadership election, so hardly slavishly devoted! I watched the whole of the parliamentary proceedings yesterday. The atmosphere was dreadful. It was obvious from the min. Jeffery Cox stood up and didn't apologise but gave one of the best rousing speeches I have ever heard that the opposition were wrong footed and getting more and more irate.
I heard the calls of 'liar' and worse, I heard the aggressive tone by the labour benches and the way they became more and more irate.
None of them liked the fact that BJ wouldn't apologise, the women on the labour benches asked him again and again. They tried to seize on his use of the word surrender in describing the Benn bill. The labour MP's brought up Jo Cox and I think was very very poor. I must say his use of Humbug wasn't the best. The language Paula Sheriff used this morning to describe BJ and the conservative party was so inflammatory it was a disgrace.

Imnotthrowingawaymyshot · 26/09/2019 21:41

How can corybns brain allow him to make that video after the john macdonnel debacle calling for mp to by lynched? After bricks thrown thru window of his challenger?

Imnotthrowingawaymyshot · 26/09/2019 21:44

Oh double I missed Cox speech... What did it say??

Orangin · 26/09/2019 21:48

Agreed. We need a GE. Cameron and Clegg fucked up our system with the FTPA and so did Blair with his US style Supreme Court. Both need to be changed going forward.

Orangin · 26/09/2019 21:52

Cox said "Even these turkeys can't prevent Christmas forever." Was pretty impressive but must have been infuriating for Corbyn. He should really have replied with a gammon gag but sadly he's not a quick-witted man.

DarkAtEndOfUk · 26/09/2019 21:55

If you'd had a colleague murdered in the course of doing her job, you were receiving death threats against yourself and your kids, and your management was apparently justifying and excusing her murderers: wouldn't you mention her name again, to make sure they understood that they are deliberately putting you at risk and the possible consequence of that?
